Please avoid this storage company at all costs! They signed me up to a short term contract in 2015 that became a rolling contract after 6 weeks. They then increased the costs a month later without notifying me and added extra charges each month with no explanation. After 4 months of the additional charges I refused to pay any further, they stated that if no payment was received within 28 days they would proceed to repossess my storage contents and sell it on to recover the outstanding balance. Given the contents of the storage had a monetary value of around £9k, and the maximum they could recover given the rolling content was 3 months of £180 monthly payments, I accepted the possessions were to be repossessed. 2 and a half years on they have apparently tried issuing legal proceedings and debt recovery with no success, and they have now passed the debt on to an unlicensed debt collector who having questioned his eligibility to collect debts from consumers, as he owns the business Vehicle Wrapping Manchester, the individual confirmed he has no license to collect debts. This individual has been calling late at night issuing threats if I do not attend a meeting to arrange payment of the alleged debt. Easy Access Storage claim to still have my possessions, even after notifying me they would be sold off if payment wasn't received and are now seeking £3,000.
Following these threats and my partner being extremely concerned and anxious, I left an honest review of my experience with easy access storage on Google. Since then, I have had an employee of the business contact me demanding I take my review on google down claiming it "does not give a fair representation of the company" and that "the third party approached me regarding the alleged debt off his own back." He also asked how I intended to repay the alleged £3,000 balance. I have had to pass all information to the police. A highly unprofessional business, my advice is do not do business with this company.

The storage facility at Manchester Trafford Park is new and the units are of a very good standard with easy access as they are all outside. I had rented a unit for 8 weeks and would have rated them 5 stars except for the way I was dealt with regarding the return of my security deposit which is charged on all rentals.
I handed the unit back on Friday 25th May 2018 and was told I would receive a cheque in the post in respect of the security deposit. I didn't expect it to come immediately but after 2 weeks and no sign I contacted the company and was told it can take up to 21 days but they would chase it up with their accounts department.
On Saturday the 16/6/18 I sent an email informing them the deposit cheque had still not arrived and was advised by Arron via email that he would chase up the accounts department on Monday and get back to me. I had still heard nothing by late Tuesday the 19th June and sent a further email; I received the following reply on Wednesday 20th June
“Apologies for the delay in reply, it was my day off yesterday. I have your cheque in store, would you like me to post this out today or would it be more convenient to pick up from our Trafford store? "
As I was busy for the next couple of days I said I would rather have it posted out. I followed this up by a phone call on Friday 22nd June and was told the cheque had been posted to me Thursday.
By Tuesday 26th June I had still not received and I fired off another email saying my patience was wearing thin. I then received a phone call from Steve who I believe is the manager at Trafford Park who was very apologetic and told me the he had spoken to the accounts department who said the cheque had left their office then they rang him back to say it hadn't and was still with them (very strange as I got an email on the 20th June saying the cheque was at the Trafford Park store !!)
Anyway Steve arranged for the cheque to be taken to the store and I collected it on the 27th June.
So whilst the storage units and the place itself are excellent the lack customer care in returning the security deposit lets them down. If you therefore require your deposit to be returned quickly the perhaps based on my experience this company is not for you.
