On the 14th of September we flew from Kerry/Dublin with the intention of flying DublinGeneva. Our flight from Kerry was delayed and it was impossible for us to make the connecting flight as my husband and I are in our eighties and need spécial assistance and wheelchairs.
We were fortunate enough to meet two young men who when we explained our predicament said they would do their upmost to get us on the next plane.
We were amazed at the effort they deployed in achieving their goal.
One of the young men’s name was Anthony. We are very grateful and send our heartfelt thanks to both of them.
Michelle and John CAHILL.

Yet again I encountered pure arrogance and unfriendliness at the customs check in. It seems to be standard procedure at this airport. You are treated as second class citizens. Its high time they started treating customers ( yes, that's what we are ) with respect instead of the condescending way they do now. They seem to have the "them and us" mentality. No other airport I travel through is like this. Maybe they should follow a customer service course?

Have to say the security staff in T2 were amazing today they were under tremdous pressure with the power outage, they were all still smiling and trying there very best to help everyone
Please get rid of the piano
Please get rid of the piano, I'm sure most people waiting at arrivals don't want to hear a kids bashing the keys creating an awful din
Assistance is a fantastic service
Have to say I travel often with my Husband who needs assistance through the airport & the service is second to none… well done to all involved.
Security was a joke
Security was a joke, one of the scanners stopped working (which can happen), but they just left people stand in the queue and didn’t communicate! I myself and others had to figure this out ourselves and move to a different queue. I was then told to keep moving and repack my things elsewhere (I was in the dedicated area, putting on my shoes).
Thank you Bindu
Thank you Bindu,

Shocking airport
Shocking airport, Check-in was a joke took almost 2 hours, signage is useless. Overall a bad experience. on return Red carpark shuttle bus took 30 minutes to arrive, then they didn't stop at area "A" and when I tried to discuss with the driver he was very rude, Ended up walking in the rain with two suitcases the full length of the carpark. Won't use this service again .

Check in a joke. Toilets are disgusting
Arrived at the airport 3hrs before flight to wait an hour and half for check in desk to open, is it the company I flew with or the airports fault I don't know! I've flew from Dublin a few times and I've never had a straight forward check in. My biggest concern was the toilets at the baggage claim, they were disgusting to say the least, 3 out of 5 toilets were blocked, after using the toilets I went to wash my hands and one of the sinks this had obviously been used to empty the mop bucket ( which was also blocked) there was dirty water, hair ect. The toilets were completely disgusting, this would be a great first image of ireland to any tourist. I can appreciate that it is a busy airport but so was the airport I flew out of and everything was do organised (check in) and so
I've just read other people's reviews from June this year about the toilets at baggage claim, and the complaints were the same but unfortunately nothing has changed
Wheelchair assistance
Myself & my daughter recently brought my elderly mum & dad on a trip from Dublin airport. We had requested wheelchair assistance for both mum & dad but I was worried about how we would get them from the city link bus stop into the airport terminal. I rang & spoke to someone about this who was so helpful & organised that 2 wheelchairs would be at the bus stop for us. Sure enough 2 lovely young men with the wheelchairs were waiting for us. They were so kind & caring towards mum & dad (& us). We went through to check in our luggage & through security in record time. They asked if we wanted to look through duty free etc - nothing was too much trouble. They then brought us to the gate for our flight. When it was time for boarding mum & dad were then wheeled onto the special lift as they are unable to climb more than a couple of steps. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the kind people doing all these jobs.
On our return to Dublin airport the exact same excellent service was provided. We were out in record time & had a couple of hours before our bus back to Mayo. The OCS lads brought us to a coffee shop in arrivals & helped my folks to a seat. Due to us having spare time between landing & the bus leaving for home, one of the lads made sure to book 2 wheelchairs to come meet us again later to bring us to the bus stop.
I would highly recommend to anyone who is worried about needing/getting wheelchair assistance for themselves or loved ones - these guys really take the stress away & get you through the airport smoothly & professionally with care & respect at all times. I can't thank them enough for all their help x
It is shabby
It is shabby, dirty, slow and you have to pay extras for basics. It does not give you what your ticket may give you anywhere in the world. Your business ticket does not give you a fast track and 2 of 3 lounges has no other food than biscuits from a box. Coffee is machine made and everthing is S. Mostly like the whole country.

Please can you allocate a "Chill Out…
Please can you allocate a "Chill Out Zone" - with reclining comfortable seats both before and after security? In the event of delayed flights - of which there are many this summer in Ireland due to lack of ATC staff - make it your mission to make your customers comfortable. We had to sleep in the airport due to Ryanair flight FR126 delayed for 18 hours.. it wasn't pleasant and we weren't travelling with young children/babies. Others were.

Today was a very packed time in the airport. The queue were long when we went to check in our bags the machine said it had to be seen by a worker, when we brought it over it was immedially up the belt nothing on the screen and the lady left right after. So I hope its going the right place. On the security we went to the machines that you dont have to take stuff out problem is that around 70% of bags had to be checked (including me and my dad) which makes it take so much longer (happened last time I used the machine as well).
Everywhere was packed, nowhere to sit. I have autism and all of these crowds and noises was overwhelming so my mam brought me to the senory, took a good bit of asking to figure out you need to book to get a code (good thing my mam was there I wouldnt have managed).
When we were trying to put the code (door was hard to open) an airport came over and she was super judgemental and asking what we were doing. I am high functoing so its not obvious I have autism. Her attitude was so horrible it made me want to cry my mam had to show her the booking for her to relax and she opened the door for us. I cant deal with confirmation I would have simply left if my mam wasnt there. Everything made me cry, the sensory room itself is lovely though
Fitzgeralds Restaurant and Bar Dublin Airport
I went to Fitzgeralds Restaurant and bar in the departure area in Terminal 2 to buy a coffee. A customer was ahead of me and his order was taken by the staff. The staff would ask what the customer wants and when the customer says an order after another this staff will say Im getting there. So while waiting, there was a sign about nutrition details of their food and I scanned the QR code. when it way
time, I asked about the drink on the online menu the staff said it was not available there and said that it might be on the other store. I explained that I got if from their QR code and he left me and asked the next customer what was their order. I felt disappointed and disrespected by that staff. I know you are on the clock but please be considerate to your customers. For the manager on this date July 12, 2024 at 11 am, please make sure that your staff dont give the customers a bad attitude. We understand that you are busy but still be nice.
5 star Experience
We had to take my mum to ocs because she was in a wheel chair and needed assistance. The gent behind the desk Oisin was so clued up, informative and pleasant. He made the effort and it had a marked effect on my mom who was already stressed flying on her own. She forgot her nerves and started enjoying the experience. Oisin is a credit to the Airport and I hope he is highly valued!! So is the gent who checked her in at emirates desk, very helpful and pleasant. Thanks from a very satisfied customer, Shantal
