Drain Doctor - Bristol & Gloucestershire Omdömen 

Our Saniflo had failed. We have a week old baby and an elderly mother living here and were in a bit of a crisis situation. We called for help and spoke to a very kind person on the phone. In two hours two very knowledgeable and pleasant gentlemen turned up and fixed things for us. The price charged was very reasonable too. This is exceptional service and we are extremely grateful.

Drain Doctor were great. They arrived around 9am, explained the cost of unblocking and CCTV of the drain. Then proceeded to jet the drain which was overflowing with rainwater. Within minutes they had unblocked the drain and the rain water flowed away swiftly. They used some green dye to help work out where the rain water drain flowed into the manhole in the road. They spent another hour or so clearing any dirt and leaves from the drain and we even saw a frog in the drain with the cctv!

The actual experience with the engineers themselves was 5 stars. With the Company it could have explained the process. A) When they phoned to make appointment they didn't say my application hadn't made it clear if a solo or team of engineers were required. And if not, that a further delay may arise! B) No mention as to where the engineers were coming from i.e. not local. C) Despite the distance, whether it would still be a free call-out without obligation or otherwise! The uncertainty at that hour in the morning, places pressure on the customer to agree subsequent action AND approve a daunting quote. Whereas, explanation at A) could have offset that pressure! In view of the distance travelled by both engineers and delay awaiting second one, I can understand why quote was so high. But had customer been advised (at A)) of likely cost due to distance- delays & team engineering, then likely they would have declined and gone more local. This doesn't distract from the very pleasant and effective engineers who attended. Thank you Tom & Adam.

Excellent service. Had an urgent problem with a rental property where tenants had been putting food and fat waste into kitchen sink waste pipe. Completely blocked and putrid smell. Drain doctor came out quickly and efficiently assessed, diagnosed and rectified the problem, followed by checking the system was functioning correctly using a camera. Tom was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Cost was slightly higher than expected but the job was done properly and it was an urgent call out. Would recommend, especially to landlords where you need professional assistance.

We hired Drain Doctor to carry out a drainage survey on a property we were buying. The survey was carried out quickly and covered everything we wanted to know, even though the house has some unusual features. A follow up phone call was quick and the explanations were easy to understand.

(Originally 1 star) Rachel on the phone for the initial booking was lovely but the plumber was 30 minutes later than the agreed time slot and said no one was home when no attempt to ring the doorbell was made and we were home waiting. When we called to reschedule the lady (didn’t sound like Rachel) on the phone was rude and dismissive. We agreed on another time slot which was a potential for them to show up anywhere within three hours and no one has shown… what a waste of a day off and our only toilet is still unusable!

Update (now 3 stars): Tom arrived a few hours late but I’m now aware of how busy he was and he was very friendly and efficient so I can’t fault him on anything. I’m still not very happy with how rude and dismissive the lady on the phone was but at least our toilet is fixed. Tom deserves all the credit for improving this rating.

Joe, the engineer arrived promptly, he explained what needed to be done, how he would do it, he then carried out the work which took all day and left the area completely clean and tidy. I cannot emphasise enough how good a job he did. He was extremely professional, thorough and very polite and words cannot express how pleased I was with the work. Thank you very much.

Friendly and persistent in solving a difficult problem with a blocked drain. Especially as Adam had to work mostly outside in appalling wet weather. Tidied up the areas that he had to excavate

Rob is someone you can trust and has been very thorough in explaining each and every drainage and sewage treatment plant issues- they are competitive price wise and honest - I was fortunate to have drain doctor rectify and resolve all my drainage and plant system problems having had a very bad experience with another local drainage company - very satisfied

From beginning to end, Adam and Gary from the Drain Doctor were brilliant.

We thought we had ‘just’ a blocked drain, we actually had a cracked pipe, and rocks in the pipe, which caused a large buildup of kitchen waste. Having diagnosed the issue, they quoted quickly to repair, including pictures and a video.

A few days later they came back and completed the drain clearance alongside the necessary pipe work leaving the area clean and tidy. They kept us informed throughout, taking pictures so we could evidence the damage and repair for our insurance company.

The engineer that came was a very helpful person, unfortunatley he could not solve the problem of a nasty smell we havein our cloakroom. He done everthing he could to fix to no avail. He put a camera down drain . Very hellful person.
