Need to tighten up mixed messages

DME Hub advertises fast delivery and then on the product page it says maybe it will ship in a couple weeks. Conflicting and causes work and costs time. So I had to contact them and did get an answer, but not soon enough in the day to order right away so I had to wait four days including over a weekend for the “1-2 day shipping.” Was happy to find an overstock product to compensate for the high cost of gouging of “medical products” that take advantage of people with disabilities (industry-wide) and require prescriptions to USE your own insurance for everyday things like air cushions, for no good reason. THERE SHOULD BE PRO REPAIR SERVICES.

Overall Experience Summary…

I got thorough explanations from Dave about a part (side guard) that I needed for a Tilite wheel chair. He was very patient and spent the necessary time to process my order and answer my questions. I put the order on a Monday November 4 and got it the following Saturday November 9th. Therefore, the whole eprience with DME Hub was excellent.

Very expensive & slow shipping …

Very very expensive shipping especially as it still hasn't arrived after more than 2 weeks. Never again.

Just to elaborate - I understand you can't control your shipper's performance but if you see that USPS takes a week to transfer 2x3" castors from Oregon to LA (see their tracking history) and another week from Melbourne to Adelaide (and as of today still to be delivered) for _$US85_ then maybe another shipper should be used?

I appreciate your unexpected 50% shipping refund so thanks for that too.

I did not realise (see?) there were other options for shipping else I would have chosen FedEx.
I have tried to navigate USPS' customer feedback, info request etc - but it's very US centric and convoluted, i.e. just too hard.
Anyway, I'll keep waiting for the castors which I needed for my (now completed) business trip to Kuala Lumpur where the footpaths etc are a nightmare for wheelies.

Thank you, Justin for your follow up message. Yes, most international shipments are routed through Los Angeles. It typically takes between 2 to 3 business days to transit to LA. It then ships to its' international destination. USPS is our primary method of international shipping. However, we also can provide shipping via UPS, FedEx, and DHL upon request.

It seems in this case, your order has taken a little longer than usual for delivery. We have decided to refund 1/2 the amount you paid for shipping. We hope you find this a satisfactory accommodation.

DME Hub is my go to place for all my wheelchair wants and needs. Not only are the parts usually in stock but if help is needed Dave is always very helpful and willing to assist with any questions or concerns. If a part is needed they don’t have on hand, they will find it and get get headed to them in a short time. This is the kind of customer service that is very much appreciated.Fast shipping is always a plus too.
