Jo Seghal from sales at discover the world is absolutely shambolic in her service and is keen on ripping off customers for no reason. Beware of their reservations team and any amendments to your itinerary! The rest of them I dealt with are not like her within the same team since my bookings from early days!

Spent a spectacular week in Iceland. Discover the World were fabulous from start to finish, great recommendations, everything ran like clockwork, good hotels, great excursions, very friendly and efficient to deal with, value for money. Highly recommend.

just want to say what an amazing trip we've just had on the Orca and Aurora trip to Iceland departing on 25/2/26.
From the moment we touched down at a snow filled Keflavik airport we were treated to the most stunning views imaginable. Our guide Cathy and our driver Frans, were perfect in every way. Conditions were rough with snow and visibility but Frans negotiated safely and efficiently. He was superb all week. Cathy was awesome, her intellect, experiences and knowledge really made a wonderful trip even better, despite the weather. We all felt safe yet secure for the whole trip.
So stunning views, orca , humpback whales and white beaked dolphins on both boat trips were seen and endless photographs taken and videos. The sightseeing company were great again in very tough weather situations and helped me take of wifey who didn't have sea legs for the swell that was present.
We saw the aurora and those hours of you tube videos watched came in handy as my pictures of the aurora are fab. The whole group shared info on how to get fab pics and this really helped. The fact the whole group got on really well enhanced the feel of a memorable trip.
So Iceland is amazing, stunning and beautiful with wonderful marine wildlife. Cathy and Frans were amazing and a true credit to your company, wonderful knowledgeable people who only wanted to please. If only you could make the cost of the restaurants a bit cheaper lol.

Discover the World were exceptional in organising our 3 week trip around Canada. Attentive, responsive, provided great recommendations, made it easy to deal with are just a few of the soundbites I could use. A special shout out to Rosie and Trudy who were brilliant and looked after us throughout the booking process and beyond, even when we needed to make a last minute change. We have travelled with Discover the World twice now for trips to the Ice Hotel in Sweden. We were repeat guests as our first experience was great. Our second trip was February this year, and unfortunately our flight from Stockholm to the Arctic circle had to turn around due to ice on the runway. We had to spend a night at the airport, which the airline sorted for us. It did mean though that we missed a night at the hotel, a pre paid for tasting menu dinner on the arrival night and cross country skiing the next day. On speaking to DTW to ask if they could help us get any refund they explained it was all non refundable (totally not up for discussion) and that ‘you just claim on your travel insurance’. On return home, we duly submitted a claim to our insurers for c£800 and were sent a measly £40 for two is us for flight delay.we were very disappointed that this was the advice we were given and that DTW, who must hold a lot of influence with Ice Hotel, didn’t even try to help us out. It has left a sour taste and I don’t think our next trip will be with them.

Had an amazing trip to Norway tailor made by Discover the World. From booking to travelling the whole experience was wonderful. We travelled to Bergen, Flam, Loen, Geiranger and Lavik on a fly drive. We did a number of additional activities that were booked as part of the package including the train at Flam and kayaking in Geiranger. All the hotels were perfect for our needs. Will use Discover the World whenever we can!

Another fantastic holiday arranged through Discover The World (6 holidays to date and every one amazing). The expertise, advice and overall level of service is exceptional. How different was our holiday from all the others that we have taken through DTW over the past years.

About a week before we were due to fly out for our New Zealand break, via Singapore we found that we had no hotel booked for our last night. A hotel was arranged but this was not of the same class, with no included breakfast nor with the necessary facilities as the rest of our holiday.

Although this was entitled an Ultimate Rail, Cruise and Coach Experience it was so much of a coach tour.

We were left at the airport in Aukland for about two hours waiting for our transport to our hotel as the sub contracted company, Tour East, had given the incorrect flight details to the taxi and we were unable to contact DTW.

All-in-all I found this a disappointing and expensive holiday.

We have been satisfied customers of Discover the World on several occasions and this time was no different - great service, excellent itinerary and a team who listen to our needs and deliver

With Jo's help, we organised a group of 20 people to go to Finland to see the Northern lights. Jo and her team were amazing, making sure that everything was in order, from accommodation, activities and flights. Even with flight delays and cancellation at Heathrow, the team was on the ball and made sure alternative flight and accommodation was booked. Amazing Team!!

We had a great trip to Finland. We gave our requirements to Jo and she did the rest and planned our trip perfectly, even when we had to postpone our trip for 12 months due to a family bereavement. The suggested hotel, location and planning were all spot on. All we had to do was turn up. And to top it off we saw the northern lights at their strongest, amazing. Would certainly recommend without hesitation.

Thank you so very, very much Jenna for arranging an amazing adventure for us on Senja Island. The whole trip really was a dream come true. We saw the Northern Lights on our first night from the fabulous Scandic Ishavshotel, which has the best location in Tromso and a lovely warm welcome.

Our stay on Senja was stunning in every respect. The view from our room was spectacular, an amphitheatre of mountains which dropped straight down into the sea. Our friendly guides, Christian and Simon, ensured we got the most out of every activity, whether that was watching the Aurora Borealis during an evening snow shoe hike or a white tailed eagle from our boat safari. The dog sledding led by Chloe was beyond special – it wasn’t just the ride through beautiful snowy landscape, but also the chance to spend time afterwards with the totally lovable dogs. And we were kept going throughout all these activities with delicious food. We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Mefjord Brygge, including Sebastian, Milena and Mati, for making it such a special experience for us.

Jenna, you looked after us so well throughout the planning stage, listening carefully to what we wanted to see and do in the Arctic Circle, contributing your own great suggestions, and genuinely joining in our excitement. We can’t think of anyone better to help us plan our next trip to Iceland.

In the meantime, thanks to everyone involved in our Tromso & Senja adventure for giving us memories of the Arctic that we will cherish forever.

Very well organised tailor-made trip to Finnish Lapland. Jo constantly tweaked details of flight options, accommodation and activities and provided information until we were happy with our booking. The trip more than lived up to expectations. This was my 5th trip with Discover the World and I would certainly travel with them again in the future.
