Absolutely worst business I have ever dealt with. Tax return work passed to 4 different people. None of whom had a clue about what went on before. Almost late to file. Person who signed -never heard of her. Despite asking, never got an answer about that. People kept quitting. Phone answerers in the Philippines or something - could never understand their accents. It goes on and on...I am not telling the full details here.

I’ve been very disappointed with my experience with Dimov Tax to date. I had my first intake call on March 18th with Galina and I had clearly mentioned the context of my tax situation, me not being a citizen, living overseas etc. and she had mentioned to me then that the team will make sure to take into account when preparing my taxes this year. After I decided to proceed with the firm, they handed me off to another CPA Marcus Vickers, he was clearly not briefed on all the context I shared on my intake. After I made payment, I never heard anything despite multiple emails, only when I called on April 16th to confirm that the extension had been filed was I provided an answer. After that, when they sent me my proposed tax filing, I asked again that all the necessary considerations had been made for my tax return given my international status. Marcus had no idea I was not a citizen and living overseas, despite me making that clear in my previous call AND over email. Also, I asked additional clarifying questions about tax liabilities given my international situation, Marcus seemed clueless about basic things like the substantial presence test which I brought up on the call and I was just told these were things he needed to look into.

I allowed for more time for the follow-up and when they eventually did with the updated returns, there was no proper explanation on what had informed the decisions the firm decided to make on my returns. No call, no email just the return forms filled out, despite all my questions on tax strategy etc prior.

I have absolutely no confidence that the firm is acting in favor of the clients at all, nor in their knowledge and expertise on international tax matters. PLEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION IF YOU DECIDE TO WORK WITH THEM, their behavior is consistent clearly with all the negative reviews being left online.

Dimov Tax Specialists, adviced me with my TN Visa tax considerations and filed my NR Taxes for my first year in the US. They were detailed, and communicative, there were slight delays given the rush tax period but that is normal and expected. Start to End highly recommended especially if you are wanting to do your TN related taxes!

My experience with Dimov Tax was extremely disappointing, particularly as a first-time client.

I found there to be a significant lack of communication and organization throughout the filing process. Unless communication was initiated by me directly, there was often little to no proactive outreach or visibility into the status of my return.

What was most frustrating was how close the process came to the filing deadline itself, which unnecessarily increased stress and anxiety surrounding something that should have felt far more organized and professionally managed.

I fully understand that tax season is busy, but the overall experience did not leave me with confidence in the firm’s client communication, process management, or overall service standards.

Based on my experience, I would not use the firm again and would not recommend them to others.

Thorough job, found large chunks of money that H&R Block process missed. As someone who has always filed by himself, I'm glad I trusted Dimov Tax Specialists - they were prompt, professional, and maximized my returns

Quality has declined incredibly, from barely tolerable to now just a source of inbound spam.

I submitted my taxes this year in early Feb to be filed, and found out a week before the tax deadline that they needed me to file an extension. After filing an extension, I have still yet to hear back about when my actual taxes will be completely.

In the meantime, I received about 1 spam email and 1 spam text weekly to try more servies. Monthly, I get about 1 phone call to buy more services.

It's incredible that their sales team is so good at reaching out but their service team does not exist.

Been with these guys the last few tax seasons. Always easy to deal with and helpful. Look forward to many more years

Grossly incompetent firm. Once they enroll you they won't take a phone call. They also filed my taxes incorrectly and didn't file at all with one of the city taxes. I don't know how they are getting 5 star reviews, but it can't be through merit. Do yourself and avoid these incompetent muppets.

As a startup business seeking an MSB financial statements audit for 2024, we appreciated their professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail throughout the process. The team communicated clearly, answered our questions promptly, and helped make the audit preparation process smooth and efficient. I had a very disappointing experience with this tax service and would not recommend them.

From start to finish, there was a serious lack of communication and professionalism. I had to follow up repeatedly—through multiple emails and phone calls—just to get partial responses. At no point did I feel like my case was being actively managed. Instead, I felt like I had to hold their hands through the entire process and double-check everything myself.

They required full payment upfront, and after that, it felt like we were forgotten. We were left in a situation where we had already paid a significant amount but received little to no proactive service in return. There was no clear guidance, no timely updates, and no sense of ownership on their side.

What is most concerning is the number of errors and oversights. The Massachusetts tax liability they calculated was off by approximately $16,000—an enormous discrepancy that we had to catch ourselves by recalculating everything using TurboTax. We also discovered on our own that certain overtime income was not taxable in our situation—something a tax advisor should absolutely know. This mistake alone cost us over $2,000.

On top of that, the Massachusetts payment was never processed, and we were not informed. The only reason this was addressed is because I followed up. Had I not done so, it likely would have been missed entirely. Being told afterward to go online and handle the payment ourselves defeats the purpose of hiring a professional in the first place.

Overall, this experience created unnecessary stress, risk, and financial impact. When you hire a tax professional, you expect accuracy, accountability, and proactive communication. Unfortunately, none of those expectations were met here.

We gave Dimov a 5, and have every intention of using them again for future returns. We appreciate their work and grasp of tax laws, and the speed and care with which they prepare our returns. And we think their fees are fair.
We first went to Dimov a few years ago when we had a very complex ssituation that made completing our return a truly difficult matter that we and two other firms just couldn't do. Dimov really surprised us by quickly recognizing the proper tax laws to apply and made it an obviously correct return. Then they turned around and did it again the following year with a wholly different but equally tough situation! I can't imagine trusting our returns to anyone else.

I will start by saying Dimov Tax Specialists came highly recommended. Unfortunately my experience has been nothing but negative. First warning bell is they make you pay upfront for services. I ignored that concern since they did come recommended to me. I provided what I thought was all my documents but asked for a consultation to review for accuracy. That was back in February. It is now May and I have received no consultation, had to do my own extension since no one responded to over 10 emails I sent (over a 4 week period), and am still waiting on my completed return. I ended having to send additional documents on April 17th when I realized I initially missed some (aka the consultation would have prevented this). I've written twice in the last week for updates and received none. My POC is Renato Alcedo, however, other staff members and George have been on all correspondence with no response. Now I can only hope they actually didn't run away with my money... which was overpriced to begin with.

The service I received from Dimov Tax Specialists was exceptional! Deepak's knowledge of the tax code was remarkable. He took the time to fully understand my tax concerns and provided thoughtful solutions. I must admit, I gave the team a lot to handle, but they provided their services with grace and professionalism. I look forward to working with the team every year!

I needed a specialized tax related opinion letter and Dimov impressed me. I had AI help me search the web and I called the top 4 options. Dimov were more knowledgeable, more affordable, and more responsive than the others. They finished the project faster than I expected and it was at the height of tax season! They are considerably above average! Highly recommended.

Update: Within about five minutes of posting my original review, I received a text asking to set up a meeting to discuss how they could “make things right.” For the first meeting, they sent an inexperienced, clearly junior staff member who had no ability to resolve anything. I was then left waiting about 15 minutes for her manager before I ended up suggesting we reschedule.

We rescheduled for a few days later. At the second scheduled time, I waited five minutes past the start time before ending the call due to the continued lack of professionalism and follow-through.

If Dimov genuinely intends to make this right, the appropriate step is a partial refund rather than more wasted time and ineffective meetings.

I’m very disappointed with my experience. Before I officially hired and paid them, communication was excellent and responses were incredibly fast. However, once payment was made, communication dropped off dramatically. I struggled to get updates or responses to basic questions, and I often felt ignored. The only time I was finally able to get a response was after I threatened to terminate the engagement.

One of the most frustrating parts of the experience was that they did not file my extension on time, forcing me to handle it myself. Throughout the process, I repeatedly had to follow up just to receive important documents and information, including a copy of the draft return before being asked to sign consent forms.

While the return was eventually completed, the overall experience felt disorganized, stressful, and lacking in professionalism. I expected much better communication, accountability, and client support.

They were proactive in responding to me to get my business, but then near ghosted me after I paid for their services. After ignoring me for over a week and at the tail end of their initial completion estimate, I now get told that they are assigning me to a different accountant who is only now starting to look at my situation. This has been a horrible experience working with dimov tax and I would not recommend anyone else fall for their sales pitch.
