Früher stand der Ansprechpartner für mein Label, an dem ich mich wenden kann, auf meiner Labelseite. Der ist nun verschwunden, weil ich womöglich nicht bezahle oder meine Verkäufe nicht so groß sind.
Ich suche mir jetzt einen anderen Vertrieb.

Well I havent been as active as I want to be, which is gonna change within the next month, but having said that I appreciate how even when not as active, the DigDis team is always way ready and will to support. And when communicating I get a sense of personal care. Keep it up guys!!!
Behandeln kleine Künstler schlecht
Ich produziere Techno, hatte mich von der Werbung und den Aussagen blenden lassen, Digdis sei eine gute Adresse für kleine Künstler.
Dem ist nicht so. Das heutzutage mehr gestreamt als gekauft wird, sollte jeden klar sein.
Meine Songs wurden gelöscht, weil diese sich kaum verkauft haben, aber streams hatten.
Ich habe viel Geld für das Mastering bezahlt und eine Menge Arbeit in die Songs und Cover gesteckt. Und nun das. Alles umsonst.
Es macht mich sehr traurig und wütend.
Ich kann diesen Vertrieb nicht empfehlen.

Ich habe keine Mail dazu erhalten.
Das Geld für die Speicherdaten haben die Songs schon lange eingespielt und die habt ihr auch kassiert.
Und auch glaube ich kaum, das sich alle Songs von großen Labels verkaufen! Aber da traut ihr euch nicht ran zu löschen, es wird bei den kleinen aussortiert.

The record label I'm signed to…
The record label I'm signed to attempted to migrate over to dig dis! and upon migrating to them it was nothing but endless problems to the point where they told us they where not going to fix anything or change their policy to fit law - that we would have to follow their poilicy that is not law.
Upon telling them these terms where unacceptable to us and that none of the previous distros had such policy to demand a remix license for every cover song since they do not accept cover songs as cover songs normally by law, but rather by their policy, that says cover songs are remixes that need a remix license not a mechanical cover license like every other distro requires.
Upon accepting their offer to cancel our contract with them on april 10th - they than claimed that wasn't good enough to cancel so we went back n forth trying to cancel till april 23rd where they demanded we say a exact sentence word for word in order to be "accepted" as a contract cancel, they waited nearly two weeks of us attempting daily to cancel to tell us this, while demanding we setup release date for the 30th of april instead of instantly like all other distros have done.
They rejected routenotes request to take over the account - than on the 30th they put a takedown notice instead of a migration notice up so now all of our songs are taken down.
It is now may 4th and our entire catalog has been down for 5 days and they are repeatedly rejecting any migration attempts out of spite since their staff are upset with us pointing out how their policy isn't law and inconsistencies in what they have been saying that conflict each other and law.
They have now told us they are going to ignore us despite refusing to accept the migration and both beatport and routenote (our new distro) have been telling us that hey can't do anything on their end till dig dis! accepts the migration - that they are refusing to do and have already rejected at least once - so dig dis! is effectively holding us hostage at this point outside of contract terms, after demanding we wait till the 30th, but still being unable to do it.
Its both unprofessional and not standard practice to put a take down notice - its supposed to be accepting a migration - but out of spite they put a take down notice.
This company is extremely dishonest and will tell you whatever they want in attempts to save face, even when you bluntly know otherwise and can prove it - they will get upset at you for proving them wrong or pointing out conflicts in what they are saying verse reality or law.
They are unprofessional and have no idea what they are doing - I would avoid like the pleague they are - they say they have less people signed to them as if its a good thing - but the reality is they have less people signed due to their treatment of people they work with and the clear lack of training or understanding of the laws they are supported to know - instead quoting policy above law as if we should care about policy of some company above law.
To be clear we barely where with this label - started march 18th - tried to cancel april 10th - they demanded we stay with them till april 30th - than they put takedown notice and rejected migration so our entire catalog is down now and has remained down for days while they refuse to accept the label migration.
I have never seen a company be directly screwing over people but also trying to play victim like you pointing out they are lying to you is somehow a you problem for realizing they are lying, not a them problem for lying to you.

Tracks einfach gelöscht!
Es wurden aus unserem Label einige Tracks gelöscht, weil diese sich nicht verkauft hätten.
Angeblich wurden E-Mails zur Information der Löschung geschickt, in der man begründen soll, warum die Tracks im Vertrieb bleiben sollen.Da wir nie so eine E-Mail erhalten haben und nicht reagieren konnten, wurden einfach die Tracks gelöscht.
In unseren Vertrag steht nichts von der Berechtigung das der Vertrieb die Tracks löschen kann/darf. Auf die Frage auf welcher rechtlichen oder vertraglichen Grundlage die Tracks gelöscht wurden sind ,gab es keine Antwort.
Digdis hat sich zum negativen verändert.
Die postiven Bewertungen kann man gar nicht für voll nehmen, sehen eher aus wie Fake.
I had high hopes
I had high hopes. I asked alot of questions and they made alot of promises - but as soon as we transferred our record labels catalog over to them that's when reality set in. It was a bait n switch - they have a English speaking "sales team" that disappears the moment you get signed and they leave you with foreign imported responses from a completely different team and the original sales team and will ignore you cuz their job is to make promises, not deliver on them.
Upon transferring over - they rejected our obvious cover songs claiming they are remixs for reasons that prove they don't know the law (like length of track being shorter despite melody and lyrics are intact and no copyrighted samples or vocals used from the original, everything remade from scratch as a cover should be)
Upon wasting two weeks trying to sort this out the "solution" they offered me was to threaten "we’re here to discuss alternative options, including the possibility of contract cancellation." so we took them up on the offer of contract cancellation since we have a lawyer on staff that is confirming these guys are lying to us about copyright and cover laws while trying to insinuate their policy is law when it is not - they have policy in company that is different than actual law and expect you to respect their policy that every other distro we've dealt with doesn't have, as if its same as law.
Even distrokid can properly upload covers so for them to be completely unable to and send us 4 different opinions and stories about what the process would be, it really proves to us they have no idea what is going on but are trying to save face - this is not the type of company I want to deal with where they make up whatever they want to try and save face and somehow your the problem when you point out what they are saying is wrong and different every time someone comments from your company.
After being repeatedly disrespected and lied to due to their blunt ignorance on the subject - we got fed up and ended up going to routenote since dig dis had threatened to release us on the first problem we encountered - so we decided it was best to leave.
After saying they would release us - dig dis is currently refusing to release us (contract cancelation they threatened to do and we accepted) and is actively fighting the switch over despite the fact we have not released a single new song under dig dis, only transferred our catalog.
Dig dis sent this to routenote "We do not agree with the switch because we have a current contract with the label." despite dig dis threatening contract cancelation, us confirming the contract cancel was okay and requesting it to go forward, they are holding onto us out of spite and refusing to release us to routenote.
These guys bait n switch - will lie to you instead of listen to you when your paying a lawyer for information they seemingly lack and will grow an attitude with you like YOUR the problem for trying to point out reality to them cuz they policy comes before reality and laws in their company.
I would heavily suggest avoiding this company - the extreme lack of professionalism and experience around the laws of the industry really makes us wonder whats going on at this company.
Instead of addressing the fact they had been lying to me or that their policy is not law - they would instead like to focus on the fact I called them incompetent despite it being a accurate description of what is happening atm. "not competent; lacking qualification or ability; incapable" <-- this is exactly what their company has been with me but they would rather get upset at the frustrated word we used than realize how they are screwing us around, wasting our time and money, lying to us and expecting us to just go along with whatever they say... these guys are dishonest weasels who have no clue what they are doing, working off policy not law - they will spend all this time being nice to get you signed and than switcharoo on you the moment you get signed
I still can't believe they told us they would cancel us - we agreed and formally requested to be canceled - we uploaded our catalog to routenote and they can transfer us in under a week - but since dig dis is holding our label hostage by refusing to release us, routenote can't take over the account due to them saying "We do not agree with the switch because we have a current contract with the label." despite the contract being invalid since we have requested to be released over a week ago now but they are refusing to!
-EDIT/UPDATE-
Instead of accepting migration of our catalog on beatport, dig dis! decided to issue a takedown notice of our entire catalog before the migration date out of spite. This is not normal practice to force someone to wait an additional 20 days, than issue a takedown, while rejecting migration requests
Extremely unprofessional.
