I strongly advise against ordering fresh vegetables or any perishable items from Desicart, and based on my experience, I would be cautious about using their service altogether.

My order arrived nearly two weeks late, which is completely unacceptable for perishable goods. When the delivery finally turned up, the packaging was extremely poor and inadequate for protecting fresh produce. As a result, most of the vegetables were rotten and unusable, and I had to discard a significant portion of the order.

This experience reflects a serious lack of quality control, proper packaging standards, and reliable delivery service—especially concerning when dealing with food items that require careful handling and timely delivery.

Request for Resolution:
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, goods supplied must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and delivered within a reasonable timeframe. The items I received clearly did not meet these standards.

I am therefore requesting a full refund for the spoiled and unusable goods. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will consider escalating the issue further through appropriate consumer protection channels.

I hope Desicart takes this feedback seriously and improves its service to prevent similar experiences for other customers.

Great products I order from Desi regularly and am never disappointed

I am writing to express my serious disappointment with the order I recently received from your website. The condition in which the package arrived was completely unacceptable and reflects extremely poor handling and quality control.

First, the whole wheat flour bag was torn open inside the box, and flour had spilled everywhere
Also inventory on website is not accurate, what you order might be replaced with similar products via email

Terrible experience — misleading and incomplete orders

This was one of the worst online shopping experiences I’ve had. If you live in the US, I would strongly caution against using Desicart.

We ordered a snack maker that was clearly shown as a complete set in the product images. However, when the order arrived, several essential parts were missing. It feels misleading to advertise a full product and then conveniently skip items during packing.

This caused unnecessary frustration and wasted time, especially since the issue could have been avoided with basic quality checks. I would not recommend this service unless Desicart improves accuracy, transparency, and order fulfillment.

As someone who loves cooking authentic Indian dishes, I love Desicart, because they have many items I can't get locally and their products are much fresher than what's available in supermarkets. I always think their packers deserve a gold star for their excellent work

My order was not delivered as originally agreed. After rescheduling I received my order with several items missing totalling approximately £14. My credit card had not been reimbursed for my missing items. In addition all my fresh goods rotted within the week. It was a Disappointing process from start to finish.

Site says over £40 purchase the postage will be free.

But then it isn’t -

Raised it three time separate for three separate but no joy.

The service was excellent. Goods ordered securely packed and delivered. Reason 4 stars instead of 5 is some items I required were out of stock whereas other retailers (your competitors) had these items in stock
