Zero customer service
Really not great. There is absolutely no customer service. I can't withdraw money because it says 'insufficient funds' when there are funds, but there is no phone or even chat customer service available. A major drawback - and something for people to watch out for if intending to open an account with this company

Impossible to get rid of
Easy to use, and buying/selling most options works fine. However some of them you cannot sell yourself, and it's near impossible to sell them through email - which is what they want you to do. It's also impossible to close your account.
I've been trying to close my account and sell my options for the past 3-5 months, and still only get emails back with 'this order is too agressive, this order is too passive' I genuinely am happy to take my loss if it means I can be cut loose from this platform.

Some products, like specific options, do have particular conditions or limited tradability, but a months‑long email back‑and‑forth is certainly not the intended experience.

Poor Customer Service
I probably would have given a 4*. What really put them back was the condescending of their staff. Its almost like they are doing me a favour by responding to my query.

Excellent range of shares to invest in.
The share dealing account is easy to set up and run. The dealing process is straight forward. Funding the account and withdrawing cash is easy. Tax free ISA accounts are not available for UK investors but the range of shares available is second to none in my experience. If you are having trouble buying a particular share, I'm sure it will be available on the Degiro platform.

Increasing their fees every year
I have been using DEGIRO for couple of years now. I have built my portfolio based on their ETF Core selection due to the low fees they offer for these products. Suddenly this October they changed their core selection without any prior notice removing all the products that are not exchanged in Tradegate AG. This resulted in a huge increase of the fees impacting the return on my portfolio. Really disappointed from their response on my email about it.

They don’t reply with any understanding of the products they offer .. generic pointless replies . Unable to a knowledge the emails you’ve sent .. deliberately vague and never add any value to a reply or go out of their way to improve

Closed my account, sadly
Have sent several emails to clients@degiro in the past week and haven’t heard back from most of these.
I did get one response, the directions of which didn’t match up with the options in my account.
It’s really difficult to deposit funds into my account, and not much details on the help center.
Such disappointment, I used to love Degiro, and just feel like the experience has gone downhill. I’ve closed my account sadly.
