Have spoken to David, the Managing Director, cleared off the communication gap and he resolved the issues. Everything got resolved and completed the installation successfully.
Mick is a friendly engineer who did the installation, an extremely knowledgeable and well-experienced person.

Hard workers
Bit rocky to begin with, however me and mrs decided to stick with this company due to their honesty. Lack of communication could be better however all staff members seem to be working from home due to refurbishments at their office. They seem to be doing the best they can during this time and it seems email is better to get in contact as the phone lines are busy during the day due to not having as many phones apparently. Install was completed last week and what I will say is me and the mrs couldn’t be happier, professionally done and had a great laugh with Richie and Mick.

Great installation
Choosing a installer was challenging in itself, so many companies all with mixed reviews then Deege installed my neighbours and even though there was some delays they was kept informed and it was due to stock issues, on choosing them they kept me informed on dates ect I was pushed back a couple of times but was advised at beginning this could potentially be an issue. I was then advised of my install date and on the day Mick arrived. He was courteous and showed me how to use the app to track my usage. I also had Antony and Shane turn up to to do the roof they was also polite and works clean and tidy. I am happy That I am now generating greener Energy and that my usage will start to save me some money. I can’t thank the team at Deege solar enough for all of that they have done for me once again. Thank you

Still waiting to have the installation…
Still waiting to have the installation working correctly. Multiple emails with no reply. Multiple calls to voicemail. If I did get through to a person, told they would call in the morning, guess what…..no call. Avoid at all costs as the customer service is lacking and have spent a substantial amount of money for a system that doesn’t work. Very disappointing. Not really one for leaving reviews but I am at the end of my tether with these people.

Be careful about this company
Be careful about this company. They moved my installation dates many times. Tried to contact the sales guy Rod and his phone always goes to voicemail. Spoke to Cloe and she said she will come back to me in a few hours, but no update for many days. calls to her phone go to voicemail. Emailed both of the above and customer services, but no response yet.
This team may have done a handful of installations in the beginning to gain goodwill, but I don't think they are doing any business at all now.
If the customer service before the sale is like this, imagine how it will be after you spent your hard-earned money!

I work in the automotive industry which has been plagued by supply chain issues (shortages, price hikes & logistical problems) since the COVID-19 pandemic started. Solar PV systems use many of the same components & materials so when it became apparent that the original delivery date could not be achieved due to these same global supply issues, we rescheduled the installation plan and Deege stuck to it relentlessly, providing regular updates & confirmation.
The admin team is quite small at the moment so it takes a little patience to contact them at times but they know their technology, they know their installers and they know what their customers need.

Paid deposit, nothing close to installed for 10 months. Required threat of court action to recover money.
Well the website and social media looks great doesn't it? I think they were even a Which Trusted Trader when I placed an order. They're not now.
Unfortunately a flashy website is where the good bits end and the nightmare begins.
First point of concern was the total lack of survey. Given the very grainy picture obtainable on Google Earth and the difficult pitch and dormers on my roof this was quite worrying.
What then followed over a period of ten months was a laughable series of dates set and then cancelled, frequently at very short or no notice. No scaffolding had been arranged for any of these dates despite it being essential to access my steep roof.
At one point there was a bizarre cancellation because the wholesaler "wouldn't release kit" to them.
Many other excuses followed for cancellations, mostly blamed on a lack of kit - they didn't seem to make any effort to purchase components before the day of install which seems like a hopeless way to run a company.
The supply issues were probably credible for the first month or two, but not subsequently as I watched several friends place their orders after me and get them installed within a couple of months.
I eventually began to worry about the viability of the company and realised that in 10 months they hadn't even requested a DNO thus requesting the refund of my deposit. At this point the stated reimbursement delay grew from 14 days (stated in the original contract) to 30 days. Numerous phone calls and emails were ignored before and after cancellation. I had to threaten legal action before my deposit was refunded.

See below a summary of the letter of complaint that we sent through to the industry body Heis:
Despite a contract, just 5 working days before installation Deege tried to increase the price of our system by over 40%. As a result the installation never occurred. Not only were we distinctly unhappy but also seriously concerned that this is a tactic they are using to pressurise customers into paying vastly inflated sums, increasing their profit margins and potentially breaking Heis Membership Rules.
In April 2022 and over the following months, we undertook extensive research into Solar power as we developed our thoughts/ideas around our needs. We had several in-depth conversations with a number of people at Deege (both sales and technical) obtaining several quotes. We also spoke to different suppliers too but overall we had felt confident in what they said, so in August 2022 we signed a contract for panels, batteries and installation at an agreed price - inclusive of VAT - and paid the 5% deposit. At the time we were told and accepted that some of products would not be available in the UK until end of November so installation would be delayed until then.
Having heard nothing, we contacted Deege early November. We were advised the battery (2.6v) would now be a replaced by a slightly higher voltage (2.8v) at no extra charge, everything else was ok and installation would still take place as planned at the end of the month. As we were offered a replacement battery for the same contract price we believed Deege had looked at our quote/job in detail.
However 5 working days before the installation Deege verbally advised “The price has gone up and we’d need to pay about an extra £4500”. They also said “they had mis-quoted and we couldn’t expect them to do a job they wouldn’t be making any money on”. So we could either pay this increase or they offered to refund our deposit. Their actions we believe contravened the contract we had signed and giving just 5 days notice was neither fair or reasonable. No-one at Deege had previously told us there has been a mis-quote although there has been several opportunities to do so. And what was the point of signing a contract at an agreed price if it can just be changed at will?
We requested a breakdown of the costs which we received by email, but this did not appear to be in any official format so how were the figures were obtained? We noted the line-by-line detail of the new quote had changed from our original contract and now the cost was excl of VAT. No contract variation documentation was provided. No explanation of the increases in price was given. No new total price was clear - taking into account the Govt had changed all the VAT rules for parts of solar.
So we decided to accept their offer for a full deposit refund yet this message didn't seem to get through as they asked us to fill in forms to say we were cancelling the contract - incorrect and different altogether!
After e-mail correspondence and a recorded delivery letter (legally required) we did finally received our full deposit monies back.
Our installation was terminated because of their mistakes. Is this how Deege work - try to undercut competition to win business and then at the last minute suddenly put costs up to increase profits?
So be careful would be our advice.

Whilst it is understandable the cost of batteries went up, the installation (which had not changed) increased too. Plus other elements were suddenly added in.
And, less than 4 wks before it was all due to be installed, when we were told a bigger batteries would be used, there was no mention of a price change. Yet 7 days later suddenly they cost more!!

Fantastic Experience
Fantastic Experience, would happily recommend and already have done to my brother. I found deege through social media and was a little apprehensive. However from our initial contact through to installation they were professional and responsive throughout. A little mention to Rod for his time and patience when designing the system and Mick and his team for the quality installation.

Also to Nick, whose electrical work was super tidy with all the wiring and units installed perfectly. Amy and Kate your regular updates and throughout the process were really reassuring, thanks for coordinating everything in such a friendly way.
There are lots of companies installing solar/battery systems, for a good value and a quality installation, I’d highly recommend Deege Solar.

Equipment good - customer service less so
Picked Deege back in August 2022 as they had good reviews and good feedback from Facebook solar group users.
The quote was good, and Pete the sales manager was helpful.
After that it all went a bit sideways. Starting with lots of wrong quotes/contracts (my father was also having an install and Deege reference their jobs by first half of postcode and surname - which is the same for us both), then install delays.
The communication was poor, with calls on the expected install day around mid-day to confirm the trades weren't coming (who'd have guessed? ;o) ). Amy in the admin/scheduling team was always very nice to deal with, but Deege were impossible to reach on the phone so I was in the dark until they called me.
Install was completed over a couple of days in early March and is all working OK, but I've since found out from Givenergy that I need a canopy over the kit (not advised by Deege) and that the install is missing the earth tie between the inverter & battery, and there should be warning stickers on the AC switch gear (doesn't bother me, but it's supposed to be there)
I've had no handover pack, and have chased a number of times for DNO notification and electrical certificates.
The MCS one arrived a couple of days ago but the generation amount is wrong as Deege couldn't install all the panels from the quote as they didn't fit the roof...
I'm not sure what actual kWp is as I supposedly now have 10 x 410W panels, but 2 aren't the same visibly so I think I have 8 and 2 smaller. Again, with no paperwork from Deege I have no idea!
I'm sure that Deege are victims of their own success along with beneficiaries of the energy crisis, but they need to sort their back-office out before taking on too many more jobs. A few phone calls to keep people in the loop goes a long way to making them feel reassured about the work.
Finally - be wary of the dubious positive reviews here. Go and check Yell.com - the last 5-6 reviews appear there word-for-word... seems a bit suss and smells of Deege trying to 5-star wash away the recent negatives!
Oh - and if you DO need to speak to Deege, be sure they will call you repeatedly for payment (before the trades have even left site). I'd suggest holding some back to get all your documents in order. I wish I had!

After a few push backs I’m extremely happy
Well after having out install date moves 4 times we wasn’t best pleased & was then in contact with the MD David who understood the frustration and anger was told it was due to stock issues in the high demand industry in which I totally understand
David guaranteed my installation would be completed the following week with a good will gesture of bird barrier
The following week has pasted and I’m please to say my install is complete & up and running with the bird barrier as promised
I had Anthony install my panels really polite and high standard of work the panels look amazing 9 panels in total with a growatt system all work is tidy and looks professionally finished
Also had a zappi fitted plus an hot water controller both optional extras
Although pushed back 4 times I’ve taken 1 star away due to the industry in high demand and stock issues that are understandably out of Deege solars hands
Since speaking with David everything has ran smoothly and I’m extremely happy with my service

With 11 Hyundai 415w panels installed with a Growatt system had a hot water controller as an extra
Everything was to the point from start to finish

Overall really happy
Happy to say my solar installation is now installed and working I have 36 Ulica 400w panels with Solar Edge inverters/optimisers and battery
Mick the electrician showed me how to use the app after the install was up and running and I must say I check the app everyday and find it really helpful ,useful and easy to use
After waiting a few months for my install it’s finally finished and working
Few push’s backs is the only negative I can give that’s why 4/5 stars and not 5/5

A great start, wobbly middle, great finish
Fantastic first impression with sales and talking about what I wanted/ needed. Had my installation date moved a few times due to supply issues. Great installation and waited on an Eddi ( not in stock with the manufacturer. Some small commissioning problems with the Eddi ( we shall find out soon enough if it is working properly), but eventually all sorted.
All at the office have been helpful, but a special mention to Brittany who sorted out my handover pack and ensured everything is running properly.
I would recommend without hesitation,but try to hold them to an install date…..

great system and exactly what I wanted installed professionally
I know with a lot of Solar installs you only hear about the bad things, but I wanted to share my honest review of my experience.
First up I got a few quotes from other companies and found all the big ones horrible to deal with, then I came across Deege Solar which was one of the few to actually have some rough pricing on the website and had different sized systems for most needs.
I was going to be a heavy user as I work from home, have lots of smart tech plugged in and run an electric car so needed a decent sized system to suit my needs that wasn't going to break the bank. I worked with the sales team and was so happy they didnt tell me what I needed and how great they are, they listened to my needs and together going back and forth got a great system planned for all my current and future needs.
It was a while before my install and I did have a couple of delay’s but supply issues are common in this country currently which along with a snow storm did push it back a bit, plus in the lead up to install day I was contacted about the batteries I ordered which weren't going to be available for a few more weeks and again we worked through a solution that I was happy with and in my time scale that was important.
On the day of the install, the team of 4 young guys arrived nice and early and despite it being cold and a little wet at times we discussed the options, and they were happy to make sure the cables were neatly hidden, routed where I wanted them and changed trunking colour to match my roof as I wanted it to blend in.
The panels all went up and the bird protection netting was then added and took a while as it’s a tricky job, but it looks amazing and they did a fantastic job.
The battery system was installed and again we discussed the options and were I thought I would put them clearly wasn’t the best option with the inverter size, so I followed the advice given by the install team (and yes they were right) and its now all mounted on the wall in a cupboard under my stairs and looks amazing.
They then set up all the app part and showed me the details I needed to know along with how it works with my car charger and when I had a couple of technical questions the tech team were on hand to give me the answers and find out things for me that not your average user even asks.
I have been impressed with Deege's willingness to discuss and change options based on my needs as well as being lovely people to talk to. I have already recommended them to Friends and Family who have installs booked.
