I recently required some assistance from Deege solar following the solar installation I had completed over 3 years ago. The level of assistance I received was excellent. They are friendly and prompt and keep me updated on progress. A date for completion of the required document was given and I received it on time.
What I found to be incredible was familiarity with the individuals I had spoken with. I felt listened to and heard and they acted upon my request.

I have recently made the switch to an electric vehicle and so needed a home charger installing. I’m so pleased I chose Deege Solar. Dave and the team have been fantastic throughout the process. They were really flexible, completing the install around my busy schedule. They spent time and care to ensure I was happy with where the charger would be situated prior to starting the work and the install itself was completed efficiently but carefully and looks really neat. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough and they will be my first port of call if I ever need any such work doing in future.

The whole team, roofers and electrician were polite, friendly and completely helpful. The job was done in good time and very tidily. I would thoroughly recommend Deege to anyone getting Solar panels fitted. The price was good too.

Friendly service with great communication by both the installation team and the back room staff.
They designed my system around all my needs and budgets.
The installation was done over a few days of my choosing. They worked at a weekend to fit the job in so it fitted my shifts.
Some of the kit installed was faulty (Not Deege Solars fault) and the guys got it remedied as fast as humanly possible.

It’s been a pleasure dealing with them. A1 experience from start to finish. I’d highly recommend!

As I had been researching my options for solar, givenergy hybrid inverter and givenergy All in One battery. I approached Deege for a quote. At the time Rod discussed options around inverters, I decided I wanted a one app system for monitoring so price was agreed. Amy and Kate arranged for install date and deposit payment several days later. I was initially disappointed when install day was moved 2 weeks, however as a storm Cieran had just passed I gave them the benefit of doubt rather than blame them for things out of their control and relaxed that the install was going to happen, and it was only my own frustrations appearing. This pause gave me the opportunity to discuss with Dave the option of switching from the givenergy hybrid inverter in favour of the Growatt 6kw as having done more research, and how clipping would affect my array. Discussions with Dave and then subsequently with Rod, a new contract was signed and my overall bill was reduced! Rod was right! Closing in on install, the team coordinated throughout process explaining when they were going to arrive and what was likely to be installed at each step. So, with my install the team spent 4 days to compete over a 5 day period. Final install was fantastic, the sun was shining! I would well recommend Deege to anyone, they are passionate about what they do!

I have never experienced such poor customer service.
The initial quote was quickly done and there was at that time good communications with the sales team.
After the quote was accepted, things started to wrong with delays. I was never notified of a delay, it was up to me to keep chasing and get a new installation date

No scaffolding was used, just ladders to get to the roof. I have to presume that scaffolding was included in the quote as every other company who quoted detailed this.

Work was completed in 2 days and I was given to understand that all the certification and handover pack would be issued within the month.
Install date was 5th April 2023. Handover pack received 25th October 2023, replacing the original pack that was issued on 7th June 2023.
Still waiting for further certification relating to the installation of a secondary consumer unit.
I've sent numerous emails that apart from auto generated replies go totally ignored, including those sent to David Norman. Pointless phoning as all calls are diverted to a voice mailbox that cannot accept calls as it is full.
My next step is to contact the certification companies to raise my complaints there, as it is clear that Deege do not care about their customers.

Friendly helpful installation team install is high quality (I'm an electrician) no mess left and everything was nice and tidy

Richie and Jimmy was great very polite and I'm really happy with how the panels look my wife is surprisingly happier than expected with how they look which is great news.

Tom and Mick, thank you both for putting your heart and soul into the finishing product. I know it was not easy getting the battery in place but we are very happy for all your efforts and helping me with light I've been avoiding doing myself . Thanks again guys

I'll try and update on performance as the weather today is not great but even now we are coving our load consumption so super happy 😊

I’m so fed up with the Deege Solar customer service and communication.
Initially the quote was good – great to speak to an engineer and not a sales person, I really appreciated that. We had to wait about 8 months for the installation of our panels. They said this was due to Brexit, battery availability and staffing levels. Their communication about several dates changes was ok.
During this time I sent a few emails asking questions. I don’t recall any of them being answered quickly, without chasing or phoning.
On the installation day I was surprised there was no scaffolding, as was the installation team! This work had been outsourced, so it wasn’t Deege employees that did the work installing. It took them till about 8 in the evening as they hadn’t worked with our type of panels and installation before. Good job we didn’t have plans.
It took a month of chasing to get our “welcome” pack. It took six months to get the DNO letter so I can setup my tariff properly to get money for what goes to the grid. I’ve sent over 20 emails chasing this up with Brittany O Brien, then Chloe. Plus emails to David Norman who’s in charge and his PA Iolanda Di Maio. Since putting in a complaint, I had an auto-response email saying that they would respond within 5 working days. 22 working days later I followed up. Obviously no response.
Three times I asked the same question to clarify my understanding of the DNO letter, and they were ignored every time. Brittany O Brien did say at one point “I’m haven’t been ignoring you”, but still didn’t actually answer my questions.
After trying all day I finally got through on the phone to Amy Coping. She didn’t seem very apologetic at me being an annoyed customer. Apparently the phone system hasn’t worked properly ever since they started working from home. Phones seem to be a business critical system to me, but hey ho. So it seems Brittany had left the company and no one had picked up on my missing DNO letter in the last four weeks. It’s just excuse after excuse.
The only department at Deege that seem efficient at doing their job at the right time is.. you’ve guessed it, the accounts department. Within minutes of the solar panels turning up at our house they were on the phone asking for payment. Funny how some departments work really well isn’t it!
Part of the problem seems to be a high turnover of staff. I finally had a phone call from the same finance person when I paid for the panels and she didn’t seem too aware of my complaint. She did verbally apologise and when I said “is that it?” she just said, “yes”.
In no way do I recommend Deege and I’ve got no idea how they got awards in the past if my experience is anything to go by.

***** UPDATE *****
Following the below review which was at 2 stars I was contacted by the owner the next day who paid the money owed and sent me my documents - for this reason I have updated the review to 3 stars. It's still a real shame that it took posting here to get the matter sorted. I will add that the actual solar install that I had checked by an independent third party electrician is excellent and he was really impressed with the level of care and thought that has been put into install and the isolaters used - it's just a shame then that Deege are let down by their admin team.

Gave 2 star because I did at least get solar panels installed.

Avoid these - I only got them to finally come out and fit the panels after being cancelled 4 times by saying if they didn't show up this time that I would be cancelling the order.

Broke a bunch of roof tiles whilst fitting the panels and have so far refused to pay for them - they have been given a deadline of Friday to pay and I suspect I'm going to have to take them to county court.

Installation was 4 weeks ago, and I still do not have an MCS certificate or handover documentation, a compaint has now been raised with MCS themselves.

Deege have stopped responding to my emails

Do yourselve a favour and find a company that gives a damn.

I felt that Deege's process from sales to admin to installation was professional; everyone came across as helpful, informative and friendly. The installation was done in half a day, and I'm now eagerly watching the stats on the app!

Very poor after service!
Solar and installation of panels fine but after-service poor.
Once they have your money they will not respond.
Our scaffolding has been up 5 months as Deege haven’t paid the scaffolding guys.
Haven’t had the DNO certificate yet. Was promised 8 weeks not 5 months.

The whole process from start to to finish was made very easy and was done very professionally. There was always somebody on hand to help with any queries and we had many.

The installation was very quick and the 4 guys (Mick, Tommy, Richie and Johny) were so friendly and did an amazing job. The fit was neat and tidy both the panels on the roof and the system in the loft. They removed all boxes etc. After it was complete we were talked through everything about how it all works.

Kate kept calling to check everything was going to plan and to make sure it was all going smoothly.

We already had solar panels installed but we’re very troubled with pigeons. Deege installed the netting, the men were efficient extremely polite and tidy workers. Delighted to say we have no constant cooing now. Would highly recommend.

The company did the install quickly, efficiently with a minimum of fuss. They were polite and helpful at all times and worked with us to find a solution to meet our needs.

We recently had Deege Solar fit our solar system & can’t recommend them enough.
We had a team of 4 fitting 19 x solar panels, 2 x batteries & a growatt inverter, all fitted in a day!
We had a small issue at the end of the day with some of the panels not working, this was due to a faulty connection which they came back to rectify the next day.
Nothing was too much trouble, they were all very friendly, professional and efficient. They even helped me out with some heavy lifting unrelated to their job!
Dave is very passionate about his work & strives to please, he’s very knowledgable & always has time to discuss/explain things. He works hard to create a successful business as do his team! Well deserved 5 ⭐️

Deege Solar added a new Growatt inverter, an EPS switch and 2 batteries to my 8 year old existing SOLAX panels.
I am highly delighted with the installation and the way it is performing.
There were a few hold ups initially, probably due to waiting for contractors who could install the EPS switch.
The staff on the sales, installation and technical support teams are extremely helpful, polite and knowledgeable (special thanks to Kate and Aimee).
My only minor issue was lack of communication from them at times. When I was given an installation date, I would to ring them the day before to ask what time they would arrive, only to be informed it was postponed. This happened on more than one occasion.
Other than that I am very happy and would highly recommend them

David and Scott helped me with a phone call to get my Growatt system up and running again.

I would highly recommend Deege Solar. We had a team of 3 in our house last week.They were all very quick, professional and efficient. They even went the extra mile and offered to fix a small electric problem in the house.Very approachable, friendly and passionate about their jobs. I am not too keen on having workers in the house while home alone but they were just a nice bunch of people which put me at ease. They also brought a very positive energy in the house especially Mick the dad.

From my initial enquiry about solar, it became clear that this was not your everyday company. There was never any pressure, or buy what we want to sell you, I clearly remember the first contact I had with Rod (system designer), it was a case of how can we help you, what do you need. We had some issues throughout the process, however, they were dealt with swiftly and honestly by either Amy, Chloe or Kate in the office, then came the installation, the team were excellent, from Mick - who literally hit the ground running, and didn’t stop, through to David (MD), Scott, Anthony, Rich and Johnny - who came over from another job over an hour away very late in the day. The all worked hard, cleanly and explained anything and everything along the way, their work ethic and determination to finish the project in one day was clear to see from the start. There are a lot of companies out there, not just in the solar field, who could learn a lot from the way Deege operate, with honesty, determination to operate ethically, and passion for delivery of a top class product, with top level service. We happily spent £13k and had 16 Aico 450W panels, Growatt hybrid inverter and Growatt 6.5kW battery, a system I can’t recommend highly enough.
All in all, an excellent company to deal with who treat you like a human, nothing is too much trouble for them, and the main one for me was the total honesty and dedication throughout from everyone I had contact with. Thank you Deege Solar.
