Visited the DBS Bank branch at Westgate and had a very unpleasant experience.
There was a male staff in a white long-sleeve shirt (appears to be a meet-and-greet staff) who was extremely unhelpful and came across as arrogant. Instead of assisting customers, his attitude made me feel judged and unwelcome — truly disappointing for a bank that prides itself on customer service.
Customer-facing staff should at least show basic courtesy and professionalism. This experience fell far below expectations.
Hope the management looks into this seriously and provides better training. Customers deserve to be treated with respect.
Poor customer service
Poor customer service and customer protection, any time you have an issue they vanished and they do not help the customers, I have experienced a scam issue due to poor governance and they did not even care. Not trustable.
Really disappointing experience
Really disappointing experience. I tried using the card to fund my investment account on Bitci Stack Asset platform through a Bitcoin purchase, and the transaction kept getting declined for no clear reason.
It was a legitimate online transaction, yet it simply didn't go through.

New internet banking interface is so difficult and complicated to use. Who approved this nonsense?! I struggle with navigating and figuring it out myself, let alone my parents who may not be the most tech savvy. Bring back the old website interface!
A nation bank that lacks empathy
My daughter’s and son in law’s bank accounts were frozen just because the husband made a few fund transfers to the wife and thereafter the wife transferred out the monies to pay bills. These transactions were hence classified as “suspicious” and their accounts were frozen just 3 days before the Chinese New Year. Despite submitting marriage certificate and other supporting documents as required by the customer service team, there has been no actions and both husband and wife had to scramble with bills payments including children’s childcare fees. From my personal point of view, the bank is irresponsible and remains clueless, oblivious to how small families manage financial commitments. While I appreciate the bank has strict guidelines to safeguard accounts against scams, the bank should review their SOPs and act in faster pace. This is absolutely a lack of empathy.

Digiportfolio Closure took 1 month, cannot close bank account from their end....
One of the worst organisation I had ever dealt with. Close 2 investment portfolios, with roughly the same amount, the latter portfolio was closed earlier than the earlier initiated closure. I had to call them 4 weeks and 2 calls later to expedite the return. The teller on the phone communicated to me was rude and unprofessional.
Now I am facing an issue with the closure a bank account. I have a 14 cents interest to be debited to my account and I have called them to say I can forfeit and close the account without receiving it. Yet, they cannot close the account from their end because of this interest. What low level organisation is this? Thank god I have ported over to the other bank. Just want to get this nightmare over and done with.

Pichhle 3 saal se maine manager, customer care aur branch visit karke kai baar issue solve karne ki koshish ki, lekin abhi tak koi proper resolution nahi mila.
Customer ke paise lene ke baad bhi bank ka attitude bilkul supportive nahi hai, jo bahut hi frustrating hai.
Mujhe umeed hai ki is complaint ko seriously liya jayega aur jaldi se issue ka proper solution diya jayega.

Absolutely the worst bank I have ever…
Absolutely the worst bank I have ever dealt with. Don’t be fooled by their presence in Singapore or the fake-looking high ratings on the App Store — they mean absolutely nothing.
They suddenly and automatically closed my account even though I was using it daily for transactions. As a result, I can’t receive payments at all, which directly affects my finances. That alone is unacceptable.
It gets worse. They automatically cancelled all my cards, even though I still have another active account with the same bank. That level of incompetence is staggering.
Now let’s talk about online shopping. I ordered something on Amazon on Black Friday, way before Christmas. Amazon did the card verification with no issues, but when it came time to actually charge the card, the bank rejected the payment. What the hell? Not only did I miss the discount, but the gift also arrived after Christmas. Unbelievable.
Cash withdrawal is a complete nightmare — endless queues, wasted time, and zero efficiency. The contrast is embarrassing. With OCBC, I actually had to send a physical letter to close my account, even after leaving it untouched for years — yet cash withdrawals were almost instant and hassle-free. That’s how a real bank operates.
This bank shows a total lack of respect for its customers. No transparency, no accountability, no professionalism. If you value your time, money, or sanity, stay far away.

I wish there was a 0 star rating available I haven't seen a bank in my life so pathetic I opened the account in the year 2023 all these years everything was fine suddenly they sow an opportunity to freeze my account and staff is so unprofessional 2 men are shouting on top of there lungs
International transfer gets lost
We are not a DBS customer; however, we are the beneficiary of an international transfer sent from a DBS account on 24 November 2025. As of 16 December 2025, there is still no trace of the funds.
Unfortunately, the hotline has been unable to assist, as they cannot verify the transaction. The only option provided is to ask the sender to contact their bank for further verification.
After more than 30 years of experience in international business and having received thousands of overseas transfers, this is the first and only incident we have encountered involving DBS.

Very bad. I regret open my bank account in DBS. I asked for e statement, and everytime they just ignore and said they will send it to my email. Been asking for couple of months and they don't even give me my saving e statement
