Unfortunatley the venue was changed due to unforeseen circumstances. We sent an e-mail offering to transfer to another event for the same age group in another part of London. As per our terms we do reserve the right to change the advertised venue however on this occasion we have provided a full refund to Stefani as she was unable to attend the new location. The matter has been resolved promptly (within minutes of her original e-mail) and we have apologised so I don't feel there is any need for this review. Unfortunatley there is a very bad culture of people rushing online to damage a small business if the slightest thing goes wrong. I really hope that changes in the future. Regards, Rob.
Great fun with a great host
First speed dating event, I felt relaxed and it was a fun experience overall! Met some lovely people and the atmosphere was lively. Rob was a great host and very accommodating. Would 100% recommend if looking for something fun to do in the evening.

Attended singles boat party
I've attended a boat singles party event. My expectations were really low. But it ended up being great, a lot better than I expected. The way it was organised allowed for easy socialising and breaking the ice (keys and locks was a cool gimmick imo). I met a lot of cool people, both men and women.
I would recommend this company to anyone.

It was easy going , alots of interactions, nice views , , good vibes , the hosts and securities were very informative but 4 hours on boat was a bit too long , I think 2 hours would be great 👍 I would recommend this event to friends 😀

Interesting singles event …
Singles Ghost walk was interesting singles event to attend. due to the fact that it was more casual than the usual speed dating. The walking tour was fun learning about spine chilling historical spots and it was an innovative idea

Don’t do it - lies, amateur and dodgy
The day of the event received an email informing us venue had changed - no apology no offer or refund if not convenient - some people met not of seen email (my friends I was going with hadn’t) the 1hr before start time a text saying venue change - absolute useless late communication. The original venue looked ok however the new choice of venue was appalling - drinks served in plastic cups , abysmal service. Sadly at this point seeing the clientele that were arriving for the speed dating left us in no doubt but to abort - the numbers clearly were very low and uneven it was very amateur and will never use this company again put us off for life and will advise anyone I speak to not to use dateinadash an easy way for them to take £60 which was wasted for the 3 of us

Let me quickly address this drivel. Unfortunatley we had to change the venue due to circumstances beyond our control. Venues can and do change from time to time and we reserve the right to change an advertised venue to another one (it's on our website, in our terms etc etc) We contacted all guests to let them know of the new location via e-mail and SMS. I disagree this was 'useless' communication but on the contrary excellent communication with an initial e-mail in the morning followed up by a text message incase some guests had missed the earlier notification (which as it happens you had...surprise there) given the new venue was less than 5 minutes walk away from the original one a text message sent an hour before wouldn't have caused any inconvenience for guests as they would have either been in the area or on the way. I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the venue but really this feedback should be directed at them not us (we did not provide the drinks in plastic cups or the abysmal service!). It's very sad to hear that even in this day and age people can judge others based on what they look like. It's clear to me that you decided to leave the event due to calibre of men who turned up. Infact, you didn't even bother to sign in with the host and just left. You cannot possibly know what the numbers were or the ratio as you didn't even go upstairs. If you had contacted us via e-mail and approached this in a different way then perhaps I could have transferred you to another event but you've rushed home and jumped online to foul mouth a business that has done nothing wrong. I take great issue with the title 'Lies, amateur and dodgy' the only thing 'dodgy' about your review is the spelling. The actual Speed Dating event was well attended with a great mix of people and everyone had a good time. Regards, Rob.

Speed Dating event at the Piano Works…

Speed dating
The Speed dating event was the second one I'd been on. The evening was fun and relaxed. There was a nice mix of ages. Everyone was friendly. I would recommend anyone who hasn't tried one to give them a go.

Boat Party
Boat Party. Amazing views. Fully stocked bar. DJ and dancing area on the boat. Loads of cool people to hang out with. What's there not to like? Great evening. Also, chance to win prizes with 'lock and key' ice breaker

Great idea to bring singles together
I really like the idea of bringing people together for certain ages, especially for people who looking for partners, who are single.
Love the recent boat party met bunch of nice girls and guys. Nice view of London from river.

The key and padlock game indeed a clever ice breaker, many people opened conversation with it.
Alcohol is priced reasonably.
The views along the river from East to West were superb. Saw all major landmarks along the Thames!
The Madison event is also great!
Will be going to both again!

False advertising
I booked a speed dating event at the Luxe on 10th September only to find out the venue had been permanently closed for months. I was not offered a refund and am very confused as to why this company would advertise events at a venue they knew would not be open. In response to Rob, I understand venues closing down unexpectedly which is fine but what I don't understand is why there are various events advertised at the Luxe if it is a known fact that the Luxe is permanently closed.

Originally was a 2 star review but judging how the company responds to other complaints I have felt the need to reduce this to the lowest. I don't hold out much hope for a polite response to the following.
In short:
- Booking site states a venue in Shoreditch, confirmation email immediately changes venue to Cornhill. Company response to other reviews stating similar had said that venue closed down weeks ago, but obviously haven't bothered to update their booking sites.
- Host turned up at 19:45, when sign on starts at 19:30. A lot of confused guests wondering what's going on.
- Host doesn't have a list of people who have booked and is just writing names down on their phone.
- Never been to an event with such a mismatch in numbers. 10 women and over 20 guys. Some men had to wait nearly an hour to get to their first date.
- No name badges. In review responses the company likes to rely on what standard to expect at a speed dating event when it suits them (loud, close proximity etc), but somehow thinks name badges are quote "cringe". Instead you spend 25% of your date trying to work out how to spell their name.
- Nothing to write your matches down on. In other responses they have claimed it's communicated before the event that you must note them down on your phone. This is wholly untrue. I have checked all emails and this is not mentioned. It was also not mentioned on the night.
- £20 is a lot for such a poorly run event.
- Website states expect 15-20 dates. Men got 10.

Unfortunatley venues do change from time to time and we reserve the right to do so. Our venue in Shoreditch closed down and we have not found a permanent replacement yet. Forge bar is a great venue and certainly an upgrade on the advertised one. The host should arrive at 7pm ready to greet guests at 7:30pm. If the host was late then I can only apologise for that. The host was provided with a list of names as I sent it to her at 5:30pm. We organise a lot of events and 99% of events go ahead without any problems and are fairly well balanced but sometimes as is life, things do not always go to plan. It should be noted that on our website we do clearly state that we cannot guarantee equal numbers because it's simply not possible but i'm aware no one reads this. We cancel any event that has less than 10 dates but I believe that 10+ introductions is an acceptable number of people to meet at a Speed Dating event. There are other companies out there that would consider that a 'full house'. I know we had a few more guys but generally most guys are cool with waiting around or having a few drinks etc. I'm sorry this caused problems for you. Yes, IMO name badges are cringy and we do not use them. It makes us stand out and draws unwanted attention. Logistically they fall off and get stuck on tables and glasses. We want the focus to be on conversation and meeting people not admin. All your dates can be viewed within your user cp from the moment the event starts and that will show you their names and a photo if they have uploaded one. The matches are done on your phone and this should have been communicated by the host. I take on board the fact it's not mentioned on e-mail prior to the event this is something i'm changing this week. Yes, we do state that you can 'expect' X amount of dates but this is not a guarantee (this is based on average number of dates at the venue from previous experience) How can I possibly know how many people are going to turn up? I will speak to my host about this event and find out what time she arrived and if the matching was explained properly and if not, why not. I would like to follow this up with you but as you have chosen to leave this review under an alias this is not currently possible.
