Flawless customer service, special shoutout to Alex from the Care Team for putting together an order really quickly in time for a shoot this week. This is the place to go for new camera equipment.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. I received a incorrect Blackmagic product (used/non functioning) when it should of been new. CVP informed they only accept returns of incorrect products within 24 hours, or 14 days if faulty, otherwise its warranty/replacement/etc. If I've ordered a new, functioning product, that's what I expect to receive. Both Oliver and Melissa in their CS team are the reason why payment protection systems exist. I asked to raise a complaint for any level of escalation and was refused. I used the retailer in the past but I won't be again, they can fluff all they want in a reply here, consider using someone else.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry that the Blackmagic Media Player 10G is faulty.

As the item was delivered on 15th December, we advised that this item was outside of the 14-day returns period. It was then confirmed that the unit would be covered under warranty, where we would require the item back for testing.
The information provided related to our standard returns and fault assessment processes, which are applied in line with our published policies and consumer law. The issue raised concerned the unit not powering on, rather than an incorrect product being supplied, which is why a warranty assessment is required.

Your request to raise a complaint was accepted during the live chat, where it was acknowledged and escalated internally. A senior member of our customer service team then took ownership of the case and contacted you directly to investigate and progress the matter.

The next step is for the item to be returned so our service team can independently assess the reported fault. A courier drop-off label has been sent to you. We have since agreed to replace/refund the item on receipt of return, providing the unit is not used.

Thanks again for your business and patience. We hope to have this resolved for you soon.

Absolutely Unacceptable - 12 Days and No Product, No Communication!

I am extremely disappointed with my first (and definitely last) experience with CVP. I placed an order on December 23rd, and as of January 4th, I still have not received my item.

The logistics management is a complete disaster. The DHL tracking information provided is inconsistent and impossible to track accurately. Even worse is CVP's total lack of customer support. I have sent multiple inquiries regarding the status of my order, but I have been met with absolute silence. It is clear that once they have your money, they simply do not care about the customer experience or professional deadlines.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I purchased this via Klarna in 3 installments. I am practically approaching the date for my second payment, and I still have no idea where my product is or if it will ever arrive. As a professional, this delay has caused significant disruption to my workflow.

I would strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere for their equipment.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused by the delay. Your order was placed on 23rd December and collected by DHL on 31st December following the Christmas period. Unfortunately, the parcel was routed through DHL's Runcorn depot, which has been experiencing significant backlogs, resulting in delayed and inconsistent tracking updates.

A member of our team contacted you last week to apologise and confirm that the delivery was completed on 5th January.

A smooth, well-communicated purchase from start to finish

I ordered camera gear from CVP during the Black Friday period, knowing at the time that some items were not immediately in stock and that delivery would take approximately four to six weeks due to supplier availability. Given how busy that period is, the entire process was handled exceptionally well. The order stayed perfectly within the communicated timeframe, and what really stood out was the proactive communication—I received clear updates along the way without ever needing to chase information or follow up myself.

The shipment arriving just before Christmas made the experience even more special, and it genuinely felt like a well-timed end-of-year delivery rather than a delayed order. CVP sets realistic expectations, communicates transparently, and follows through on what they promise. That combination of reliability and thoughtful customer service made this a genuinely positive experience and one I’d happily repeat.
