So happy with my new windows . Thanks to George & John you’re the best .

Just had 2 doors installed by Team 3 Bryan & Liam. Over the moon with my doors and the workmanship. Even tidied up after themselves. Thanks to John the manager for visiting also to make sure everything went smooth. Great service .

Arranged an appointment, however they cancelled and would not come unless both myself & husband were present. Extremely shovanistic in this day and age and a (couldnt care less attitude). After sending an email of complaint, received a call and said they would now call out. TBH, thankful they didnt call at the original appointment, doged a bullet going by reviews. Also noticed on website CSJ is closed permanently, although still using stationary with CSJ name!

I’ve used Central Scotland joinery on 3 occasions with replacing all windows and doors. I have noticed a benefit in keeping my house warm through the winter and the noise reduction has been beneficial.

The salesmen who attended my home was always friendly, up front and honest.

The company and installation team are 100% in their work and tidy up process and always work to a high standard.

I am very happy with the new windows and finishings in my home and would recommend this company as the quality of the windows will last years.

Dodgiest company have ever dealt with. Paid a large sum of money for specialist drawings 7 mths ago and still not received them, despite them guaranteeing 10 weeks max.

All friendly first couple of week or so up to the point where not allowed to cancel contract. Since then don't hear a word for them

Strangest thing about them is that they are a liquidated company and the company is actually Affordable Windows. Same Director James Haston who is pig ignorant and not wanting to communicate. Wish I had done my research.

I had the misfortune to have these clowns come in and destroy 12 months of my life, thankfully i have my wits about me to start the promised a dream bathroom, ours was very old outdated, they didnt sseem to have qualified fitters as they screwed my showerboard to the wall , then tries to hide it after it was cracked, i seriously could not beleive it, i have photographs of it all too. they then after 4 days not finished neither floor nor bath sides and a toilet that they said i could only have plain white , was no gray, really fed up now , no sink they cracked it, floor was unlined not flat ,very very poor quality of work after many emails calls promises they still continued for another 3 days ,to my horror they emailed me a figure not an invoice. asked for 6 thousand pounds, id no sink no bath sides and the ceiling well i could have fitted it better myself, they threatened court id alot of proof, after trips to solicitors ect i had to eject this company from my house, they caused me thousands in damage to my bathroom that had to be repaired so would i recommend absolutely not,no they did not get paid. id not even give them one star........

Update: CSJ - who took over from Central Scotland Joinery have now come to inspect my windows - I was advised that the issue was condensation, so still an issue but I suppose these guys did come out so they are not quite so bad as they were before...

Had 5 windows fitted in 2019 - the wooden cill is watermarked due to excessive wetness and mildew growing on the window itself. If I had my chance again I probably wouldnt buy replacement windows :(

Bought new sash windows on july 2019 the windows supplied and fitted were great,,,But their customer service is non existent..There was some electrical work to be done on my part before the joinery work could be completed after the first lockdown was lifted all eletrical work was completed...after 54 phone calls to csj asking them to come back out and complete the joiner work they eventually turned up only after being threatened with the complaints proccedure by this time its july 2021 they still didnt complete the work. only did the bathroom half of the kitchen which was shoddy had to be repaired and did not touch the living room only to be told they have run out of wood....Jason{i dont know what day of the week it is}project manger never contacted me again to make arrangements to complete the job all this to the sum of 8:000 pounds the outstanding joiner work was eventually completed with a private joiner...once csj take your money they dont care if anyone does get some customer service out of them think yourself lucky...use csj at your own risk.

This Company has been in Liquidation since Nov/Dec 2020. Why are they still posting positive reviews. They stretched out my project for months, without paying funds due to me for non completion of works and then went into liquidation without any feedback to myself and I suspect many other customers.

Not even had any work done, just looked out my window as my dog was going mental to find 2 guys in my garden playing football with my sons ball , when approached they laughed just saying they were having a kick about, and one proceeded to kick ball into street hitting neighbours cars - my german shepherd was going mental , totally unprofessional and I can assure you I would never contemplate using these people after this. They hadn't even chapped my door and were waiting for me - they were just strangers playing about in my gardnen .

This is 2nd time I've used CSJ for window installation. Team3 Liam,Stuart,and James arrived early. Job completed very professionally. Highly recommend these boys. Will use again.

This is the 2nd time we have used this company, first time we had the front of the house upgraded. They came back on 14th January to upgrade the rest of the house and we are delighted with the work carried out. The men were very curious and adhered to all COVID regulations at all times. The work was completed methodically and they were very thorough when tidying up. Would certainly recommend this company.

No hard sell. Great quality. Tidy. Doors dropped on settling, return to adjust really promptly. Not the cheapest but worth the money.

All I can say is very poor and if ask you to call using messenger Graham MacLauren Spiritualist and I’ll tell you how they took my money snd didn’t do the work. You can also see them on Cowboy builders on Facebook. The sales person talked the talk but couldn’t walk the walk and they are very unprofessional and gone bust according up the regulators and if you come across them please don’t use this service there are better builders out there who are not trustworthy,

Over the last few years, we’ve had all of our existing doors and windows replaced by CSJ and received great service..... we engaged them to take on replacing our old front porch after the original company went bust..... they had to do everything from scratch, including submitting new plans.... the process began just before lock down, which brought everything to a halt, but once restarted the workmanship has been first class and the finished product very impressive....... like all companies this year, CSJ have had major issues with supply chains, but we got there in the end! Many thanks again for completing a first class job in difficult circumstances.

We bit the bullet on refitting our family bathroom and ensuite in Feb’20 before the arrival of our first baby. We went with CSJ after a positive review from a relative, but on reflection this has felt like a massive mistake with a lot of grief over the past six months.

For clarity I’ve listed the issues faced in an itemised list, as it is rather extensive!!! Whilst problems have been created by contractors and sub-contractors, the buck ultimately stops with CSJ who have not been forthcoming or proactive in resolving despite several recent phonecalls and opportunities.

1. Reflecting back to the initial consultation, the salesman clearly overstated what was achievable on the project - for example, promising to conceal wastepipe in wall, making shower tray flush with floor and expected timescales. This has left us with bathrooms not in line with what was initially designed and paid for. Additionally, the salesman advised of the sq metres of tiles required and did not calculate enough excess leaving an imperfect finish in places (see point 17).

The CSJ team should not overpromise, especially when I challenged the ability to do this, and was met with a ‘double down’ on the promise.

2. The salesman's technique of selling the finance option has left me in two minds to report CSJ to the FCA for mis-selling. Part of the original attraction of CSJ was the availability of finance as fitting two bathrooms isn’t cheap! But we were always intending to pay some money upfront to reduce the amount of finance. Your salesman however was pretty insistent we shouldn't be paying anything upfront... a tactic that suggests to me your sales team are paid commission on (mis-)selling finance. Thankfully as I have a background in finance I was able to see through this.

CSJ need to make sure their sales team are trained to sell this service and act with integrity. I have major concerns that other customers are being mis-sold finance.

3. CSJ then repeatedly requested payment even though we hadn’t agreed to the final bathroom specs. This felt incredibly pushy and awkward and not a great way to enter customer relations.

4. After agreeing a start date and two week timeframe, we got a call 5 days before the start date flagging that CSJ had changed supplier and we needed to reselect our full suite for both bathrooms. Initially it was said it would not lead to a delay, and then were told it would. This delayed our fitting by a week.

I don’t believe changing supplier is a spur of the moment decision, customers should be given far more lead time to reselect furniture (if this needs done at all!!)

5. Despite agreeing to do one bathroom at a time (and not both simultaneously) the Contractor turned up on Day One expecting to rip both bathrooms out. With a pregnant wife, the prospect of having no working bathroom for a week plus was never an option, and thankfully I was working at home that day and was able to intervene. And it really would have been a disaster, as the country went into COVID lockdown at the end of that first week (hindsight is a wonderful thing!).

6. We sourced tiles for our en-suite and were told the Contractor would pick them up. With significant concern about an inevitable COVID lockdown, we were acutely aware it was urgent the tiles needed collected ASAP, but they never were. We later found out the trader sold on our items which led to a couple of months of inconvenience, tracking down our order and waiting for them to restock.

Whilst the resale of our tiles wasn't CSJ's fault, it was still frustrating being told the pick-up was under control and another example of over-promising and not delivering.

COVID - At the point of lockdown 80% of the family bathroom was complete, and the en-suite not started. No one could have foreseen the locktown that followed, but our job could have been finished if it wasn’t delayed as mentioned in item 4. We were left with a number of heavy boxes upstairs that, due to my wife's pregnancy and visitor restrictions, we weren’t able to move easily.

7. When lockdown restrictions were lifted we contacted CSJ via email to get an update, eager to get our house back. We were frustrated not to receive a courtesy response to our email and the Facebook chaser sent a few days later. The Contractor then got in touch, suggesting our messages were seen, but a simple acknowledgement of enquiry would have been appreciated.

UNFORTUNATELY, THE CHARACTER LIMIT ON THIS RESTRICTS ME FROM WRITING ANY MORE, DEPSITE A 27 ITEM STRONG LIST OF GRIEVANCES COVERING INCORRECT PRODUCTS, POOR WORKMANSHIP, POOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND POOR RELIABILITY / TIMELINESS AMONGST OTHER THINGS

CSJ completed my single storey extension on budget and to a high spec level. Everything written down on the contract was honoured. I was very impressed with their array of skilled and knowledgeable workers. Each person was professional and polite which was important when you have them on your property every day for many weeks. Even during the Covid 19 situation they were responsive with possible re-start dates and I felt very comfortable with their guidance and decision making. I am very happy with my new extension, so a big thank you to all the team.

Garage conversion just completed on time and budget. All the tradesmen were excellent and very professional and the result was first class. Easy to see the progress each day and John was always available if we had any queries. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have just finished on a large garden room extension completed by CSJ. We are delighted with the outcome. A truly beautiful, light filled room with a vaulted ceiling & bifold doors. The work was led by John & Jason from start to finish. Their guidance and professionalism was excellent. We are very pleased with quality of work. In summary, they did what they said they would do in the time they said they would. We would recommend CSJ. Thanks to the team.

The boys were hard working and made it stress free. They tidied up afterwards and carried out a fantastic job. Would highly recommend the company.
