We are proud to be offering a fully regulated, Nurse led ear care clinic in the South Tyneside and Sunderland area. We specialise in ear wax removal using Microsuction technology, irrigation and instrumentation. Our clinic is based in the heart of Whitburn Village and provides an environment that is relaxed and responsive to patients needs. We are passionate that ear care should be accessible to all patient groups, by also offering mobile clinics to care facilities and the house bound. Crystal Clear was founded by our experienced registered Nurse Rebecca Shields, with over 17 years of providing ear care in the community. Rebecca always strives to deliver the highest standard of care to patients and prioritises a personalised and holistic approach to ear care and wax removal. Our passion is to collaboratively work with NHS services and enhance ear care within the local community.

Visited by Rebecca at Dads house on 28/1/26. Dad has dementia and his communication and understanding had taken a step down since before Christmas. A visit to his local Doctor advised Crystal Clear intervention. Rebecca was lovely, professional and had a very good awareness of Dads condition. To say I was overwhelmed by the results is an understatement. On completion of the process Dad was having a three way conversation and could hear perfectly. So so grateful.

Excellent service
Thursday 15th January was my first visit to this clinic and I have to say I was very impressed with Rebecca
she is very easy to talk to and caring, she said I needed to have a swab taken at my GP which came back saying I need to see ENT urgent, thanks Rebecca I hope I don't wait too long for my appointment

Excellent service.
GP had diagnosed cause of hearing difficulty in my right ear as wax and prescribed olive oil and subsequently Sodium Bicarbonate as softeners before unsuccessfully attempting to remove the wax. Was advised to continue using softener, but following a recommendation went to Crystal Clear Ear Clinic instead where the wax was successfully removed at first visit.
Very professional, efficient and friendly service. Would not hesitate to recommend.
