Unimpressed that the 'tip' was enforced at 10% minimum. If it can't be set to zero it's a fee not a tip.

When making a pledge or donation, you have the option to leave Crowdfunder a tip. You can choose how much or how little you give, or if you want to tip at all.
You can do this by either using the slider to adjust the percentage or by entering a 'custom amount' which can be set to £0.00.
The tip is used by Crowdfunder so that we can help more projects. We do not charge any platform fees for projects that are charitable causes, not for profit and personal fundraisers. We therefore rely on the generosity of those that can afford it, to tip the platform.

When i created the account I didnt know you would be charged
When i created the account I didnt know contributers would be chargd. I had lots of people tell me they did not want to contibute because of this. They paid me directly instead. What a shame.

everything was perfect until the final…
everything was perfect until the final payment. The crowdfunder was to hrlp my friends son pay for my friends funeral. It raised £4,205 but because the final payments came after the funeral, i paid him early. This left me personally out of pocket when i didnt recieve all the money due to the commission you take that is not made clear at any stage.

Forget any anxiety about fundraising - Trust Crowdfunder to support you to a successful outcome
I have never tried to raise money for a community project and at the start I was fearful, anxious and doubted my ability to succeed. Crowdfunder have a series of videos to help you design your page. They hold training sessions which you can attend on line, where they share their experience and that of others who have raised funds. They help you plan and run your campaign, they emphasise the planning element, we undertook 6 weeks of planning and the fact we exceeded our financial target in less than 5 days proves following their advice works. We have now set a stretch target for things that will enhance our project with 5 or the 6 weeks still to go.

Definitely recommended
A user-friendly platform, making it easy to set up a fundraising campaign, with all the legal requirements for GDPR and licensing built in. Our campaign, once shared on Facebook, was picked up by local and national press, which resulted in much higher than anticipated success! Useful tips on Crowdfunder about how to promote the campaign, and help is at hand if required. Easy to access donor data at the end to use with randomiser software, in order to fairly choose a winner. Would definitely recommend.
