Croatia Visa Omdömen 

My experience with the Croatian visa application process in Vietnam was extremely disappointing. Despite providing clear documentation, having a strong travel history, and previously traveling to Europe without issues, our visa processing took an unreasonably long time.

The delays ultimately caused us to miss our planned travel dates, forcing us to cancel our flights and resulting in significant financial losses. Throughout the process, we made numerous attempts to contact the embassy by both email and phone to seek updates or assistance, but we received little to no helpful support.

What made the experience particularly frustrating was the lack of communication and transparency regarding the delays. Had we known that the process would be handled this way, we would have reconsidered our travel plans altogether.

I understand that visa applications require careful review, but applicants also deserve timely communication and reasonable processing times, especially when travel dates are approaching. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below these expectations.

I applied for a visa to Croatia from the UK and unfortunately had a very negative experience. My visa was denied because the embassy wasn’t convinced I would leave Croatia after my visit, despite clearly stating my travel intentions in my application. I was informed that I could appeal the decision, which I did, but due to the Christmas and New Year holiday period, I missed the deadline to submit the appeal.
When I arrived at the embassy to submit my appeal after the holidays, the staff member informed me that the deadline had passed and that nothing could be done. I explained that the delay was due to the holiday season, but she simply reiterated that the deadline was final.
To add to my frustration, she mentioned that one of the reasons for my visa refusal was the suspicion that I might travel from Croatia to Italy, implying that I might overstay my visa. This reasoning felt completely unfair and unreasonable. I explained that I have a life in the UK with my husband, children, and a stable job – why would I leave all of that behind to stay illegally in Italy?
In the end, my visa application was rejected because I missed the appeal deadline, and despite my efforts to explain the situation, there was no flexibility shown. I feel like I’ve wasted my time, energy, and money on a process that was both confusing and unnecessarily rigid. It’s incredibly frustrating when an important decision like this is made with such little regard for the applicant’s personal situation.I feel this was a complete rip-off of my money, and I’m deeply disappointed by how my case was handled.
