Making a tricky process fairly painless
Stephen made getting through the tricky process of applying for enhanced DBS's fairly painless. I appreciate that there is a lot of checking going on behind the scenes but Stephen was always quick to respond to any queries or updates.

My employer requested me to have a CRB assessment off yourselves .
The manager and myself answered the questions required online . And the payment was made .
As it was just over three weeks ago I decided to contact your team as I had not heard anything. Today I received a nice email off Paul on the application assistance team, asking me to inform my manager as they did contact them on the 9th February 2026 requesting more information. So my application could be completed.
I did contact the manager straight away obviously they may not of read it. And I apologise on their behalf. But I believe Paul contacted them by landline and sorted the problem out . Thank you.
Paul is an asset to your team and he has dealt with my request promptly and courteously . He deserves 10/10 rating well done Paul.

Having my application reviewed and processed could have been fraught with challenges and self-doubt as ot was my first application. At every point of contact, Kathryn who was looking after my case, gave clear instructions and information that really helped me with the application process. It was particularly helpful when we had a telephone conversation. Her professional approach and knowledge was very reassuring to me and a genuine benefit of this service.

Very costly!
As a business i paid £45 registration fee, then i need a DBS check quickly, this was £93.50, then i needed to verify the id on a 3rd party website which was £15. The process was done in 24 hours which i paid for but then to obtain the actual certificate i had to pay another £11!
EDIT: Olivia has processed a refund for the £11, sorted out quickly.

Just to clarify the part about the £11 charge. You don’t need to pay anything extra to receive your physical certificate. The official certificate is automatically posted to you once the check is completed. The optional £11 fee is only for viewing your result online before the paper copy arrives, in case you needed early access.

This service is expensive and slow
This service is expensive and slow. I paid for a fast track and they have been very slow in responding. I was unaware using the service that the Gov.Uk offer the service directly for a fraction of the cost, i paid £100 more than I needed.
