Crafty and dishonest insurance …
The card I use for monthly payment expired at the end of October, I emailed and informed them I could not get the new card from home as I was away on a business trip, I received an email saying my policy has lapsed on 7 nov I added my new card details on Friday when I returned home
Called them on 10 to confirm they have received the new card, refused to accept the payment card, told me I have to have a new policy- quoted me double what I was previously paying
Be careful these people are dishonest and carry sharp practices, been a customer over 10 years and was very loyal shame they didn’t repay that

I can confirm that your first email reached us on Saturday, 8th November 2025, which is unfortunately outside of our operating hours. Our team responded first thing Monday morning to let you know that a quick phone call would be the best way to get this sorted.
As explained in our email, whenever a payment fails, we automatically attempt to recollect it over the following 7 days and also send an email notification about this. We completely understand that you may not have been at home during that period, but unfortunately, we wouldn’t have been aware of this on our end.
Since the payment was still unsuccessful after 7 days, the policy automatically lapsed. Once a policy has lapsed, it can’t be reinstated, which is why we weren’t able to negotiate or match prices for a new quote.
We’re sorry to hear that this experience left you feeling disappointed, but we’re glad to know you now have cover in place.

Very poor customer service
I would have liked to get more notice that the account was being suspended - one email that I missed as I was on holiday and not checking emails. when I contacted you there was no help just that I had to get a new quote - no price match to my old policy and no negotiating - I felt like there was absolutely NO customer service, empathy or care
I have gone with another insurer. It’s cheaper and included river rescue so I won’t be back to you
Very upset with the way I was dealt with. And will share this around the boating community

I can confirm that you initially sent us an email on the 08/09/2025 and we responded the same day to inform you that the policy had been cancelled due to non-payment.
You were informed via email that whenever a payment fails, for the 7 days following the failed payment we will attempt to recollect it and we also send out an email to notify you of this but I do understand that you may of been on holiday during this period but this is not something we would of been aware of as a company.
As payment was still not successful after the 7 days, the policy was therefore cancelled which we informed you of and once this has been actioned, we cannot reinstate this so that is why there would have been no negotiating/price match as this is not possible for a new quote.
I do apologise that this has made you feel the way that you have but I am glad that you now have cover in place.
