I had a major issue trying to set up our agency appointment on the government gateway website. I called in and spoke to Rosie, who was incredibly patient and walked me through the entire process step-by-step. Brilliant customer service that went above and beyond what I expected.

Fantastic rate reduction secured
We were skeptical at first when approached about our business rates, but Corporate Commercial Surveyors did a fantastic job. They identified an error in our valuation and handled the entire appeal process with the VOA. We ended up with a substantial refund and lower monthly rates moving forward. Highly recommend their service.

This company scammed us last year, just read all there recent 5* reviews , this must be a totally different company to the one we dealt with! All the 5* reviews all seem to follow a spate of 1* reviews to try and bury them so you don,t scroll down that far. Look closely at the reviews they are mostly done at the registration stage which is like giving a restaurant a 5* review before you have had your meal? This company promised us 100% that they could reduce our rates , something they are not allowed to do (look at the contract they make you sign where they state they cannot Guarantee a rate reduction) We have witness,s to there meeting with us so any negative
reply to this review from them take with a pinch of salt.

My experience with Corporate Commercial Surveyors has been nothing short of appalling.

On 3 March, I received a welcome letter stating that they would assess my business rates case. It clearly said that if their Survey Department could not identify grounds for lodging a case with the Valuation Office Agency (VOA), there would be no charge. It also stated that their £1,595 + VAT fee would become payable only if they concluded my case met the criteria for submitting a challenge.

I paid the fee in good faith, believing my case would be progressed.

The reality was very different.

No appeal was ever submitted to the VOA. After taking my money, I was eventually told they had decided not to proceed because a challenge might have a negative financial impact. They then refused to refund the fees I had paid, despite the appeal service never being carried out. Instead, they simply cancelled a future invoice for work they were no longer going to do.

To me, this is unacceptable. I paid a substantial fee expecting a professional appeal service, yet no appeal was ever lodged and I was left out of pocket by £1,595 + VAT.

I cannot understand how a company can justify keeping a client's money for an appeal that was never submitted while relying on the explanation that they were acting in the client's "best interests."

If you are considering using this company, ask one question before paying a penny: If you decide not to submit my appeal after taking my money, will I get a full refund?

I wish I had asked that question. Based on my experience, I would never use this company again and cannot recommend them.

I have just had a brilliant conversation with Louise who was so helpful and explained not only their process but the VOA process. Louise so helpful and patient in explaining that gave me comfort that I now understand fully. The customer service demonstrated by Louise was excellent.

Louise has been most helpful in advancing our claim, despite the opacity and needless complexity of the VoA's on-line systems.

Corporate commercial surveyors have saved me alot of money in the last rate period and now the rates have been reviewed I am confident they will perform well again. Charles Grant-Peck has been very helpul and made the whole process stress free. I can recommend this company.

Fantastic service… I’ve had a number of companies continuously calling about Business rates to the point where I stopped listening and would just hang up. Corporate commercial surveyors were recommended to me and I can see why. No pressurised selling tactics, just clear cut honest advice. Would definitely recommend to other businesses.

Finance team helpful, good and easy to deal with.
Rest of the company not so helpful and responsive. Customer facing focus needs to be improved.

Complete scam - they take your money (and carefully because the contract locks you in to paying again for the next ratings period), promise there's a strong case and then say nothing can be done. They've also invoiced commission for our rates having dropped after the recent budget despite them having nothing to do with it.
Wish I'd checked their reviews on here and Google before engaging. This has wasted thousands of pounds.
