The distinctive blue and white banded pottery owes its name to an employee who said it reminded them of the blue sky and white-crested waves of Cornwall. Today, Cornishware is a family run business based in the West Country employing over 30 people who have successfully brought production back to the UK from overseas.

We now have most coloured mugs which…
We now have most coloured mugs which makes hot drinks very cheerful. Being critical were a little sad the orange and the red colours are not more vibrant like our other colours

Personalised to perfection
I recently purchased a classic mug for my sons very kind teacher at his specialist school so I wanted to get something really memorable and a gorgeous personalised mug with her name and a little message was the best gift it was an easy service and customer services were awesome and incredibly helpful.
The item was dispatched really quickly and delivered safely. When I received my item I was even more happy with it, she will love it and I love it so much. I even want to order one for myself now and my husband. Will definitely use this service again it’s brilliant and the cup was of course just gorgeous.

Thrilled with My Purchase!

DISAPPOINTED … Through the years we have bought many mugs from Cornishware, for ourselves, friends and family and always been impressed with the chunky feel and make, so we recently ordered two more for my sons wedding as a present and rather shocked when we took the mugs out, much thinner, lighter and one on the printed names was off centre, and generally felt cheap, I contacted Cornishware and was told the firm was now using different clay to make the mugs but was of good quality, to be fare they did offer a full refund if I sent them back, however with the wedding approaching we decided to keep them but came away from this dissatisfied.

I'm pleased you've decided to keep the mugs, although I'm sorry to hear that they haven't met your expectations.
I want to reassure you that no cost-cutting was involved in our move back to UK production. In fact, manufacturing in the UK using Cornish clay is significantly more expensive than overseas production was. The differences in weight and profile result from the change in materials, manufacturing process and tooling, rather than an attempt to reduce costs.
I completely understand that you preferred the feel of the previous mugs, and I appreciate your honest feedback. We've shared your comments with our production team as customer feedback is important for the ongoing development of our UK-made range.
