NACA was referred to me by a friend's mom and it seemed all too good to be true but, seeing that she's went through the program herself, I trusted it. NACA is everything it says it is, a first-time home buyer program made simple and affordable. Provides an easy to fill out and manage portal system to track spending, budgets, debts, and other relevant info necessary to become qualified within the program. You're given a counselor that's available, via email or phone to answer questions regarding the process alongside the general NACA services line to help with other issues if needed. Everyone is extremely kind and understanding and makes sure your issue is resolved at the end of each call. I have not had one negative experience thus far and I doubt I will going forward. I am extremely hopeful for my future and excited for what is next, all thanks to NACA's easy and supportive home buyers' program.

Went to the NACA Workshop on May 31, 2025. The seminar was very informative. I started the process and although it seems very tedious, I believe it will be well worth it. My counselor, Kimberly Burkhalter, is very knowledgable and is guiding me through the process. I can't wait to become a NACA homeowner!

My homebuying process with NACA has been a learning experience. I now understand a lot of things better and changing things around while I'm going through the process. My counselor has been helpful, and I can't wait for the day when I'll receive the key to my future home.

Naca is a great program for first time home buyers. Naca helps you prepare the documents needed for a home purchase and assist with organization and financial monitoring. The mortgage counselor, Ms. Ellen Petersen is very informative and knowledgeable of the home buying process. She is professional, kind and accessible. Iḿ hoppy to have been paired with her to help guide me through the home purchasing process.

No down payment, no closing cost. The process can be long and tedious, but it’s worth it. Thanks to my counselor Ellen for being patient, and explaining the process in a professional manner.

Id like to start by saying Ellen Petersen is so helpful. She made me more excited than ever. She was very helpful through out the entire process. Even though I am at the tail end of my process, she is very efficient & responds to all your questions. I am very excited to be a home owner.

So far, my experience with the NACA mortgage program has been positive. Our agent has been fantastic—very responsive and helpful throughout the process. While the list of required documents is extensive, it's manageable with good communication. Initially, categorizing three months of expenses felt overwhelming, but once we learned it only applied to checking and savings accounts (not credit cards), it became much more straightforward. Looking forward to continuing the journey with NACA.

NACA Update!
We’ve officially found a house and are now in our 30-day escrow! The process is definitely not for the faint of heart — be prepared for a laundry list of documents to send in and lots of emails flying back and forth between NACA, your realtor, and the title company. That said, we feel very fortunate. Our NACA counselor knows the program inside and out and has been incredibly helpful at every step. Plus, we have a realtor who’s been willing to learn and adapt right along with us, which has made a huge difference.

My mortgage counselor Ellen Petersen is absolutely wonderful. She helps me set goals as well as motivates me. She wants me to get my house just as much as I do. It makes the entire process much easier when you have such a caring person like Ellen in your corner. I am so glad I decided to enrolled in the NACA program. I am so close to qualifying to buy my first home. Thank you Ellen for all you do!

I am currently working with NACA to purchase my first ever home! I have an amazing counselor, Nati who has been very proactive and diligent with everything since the beginning of this journey. I feel more confident about my homebuying experience due to all the guidance provided by her and the team at NACA. All of what this program has to offer is a huge part in my decision to purchase a home at this time. The process has been a lot less stressful than I anticipated due to all the help and guidance I have received. I would recommend this organization to anyone who is looking to purchase a home, and needs someone to help breakdown the process and help keep you on track.

My wife and I attended a Naca workshop in March that was full of information. My wife went into the office to do some paperwork but has vision issues and was helped by Barbara at the front desk. Every person we have met has been so helpful. We are currently working with Daniel Ortiz who walked us through the process and answered so many questions.

Today was my first virtual meeting with my counselor, Gladys. She was very helpful and specific about what additional documents were needed. I also appreciate her quick response to emails. I am looking forward to continuing this process, and I hope to be a homeowner soon!

The NACA program is such a great resource for anyone thinking about buying a home! I’m going through the process myself, and my counselor Ellen has been amazing. She’s always on top of making sure everything gets submitted on time and helps coordinate everything when things get a bit tangled. I have wanted to be a homeowner for as long as I can remember, but growing up in California without family assistance or an inheritance, it simply hasn't been possible. My friend who works in the mortgage industry told me about NACA a few years back and it all sounded too good to be true, so I brushed it off. Recently I decided to give it a go. Watching the video about how they advocate for homeowners was inspiring and resonated with me, I figured even if I didn't end up a homeowner I wanted to be involved. I did the courses and paperwork and recently met with my Mortgage Counselor, and it has been such an amazing experience! I am now on the road to fulfilling this life-long dream due to NACA's guidelines making it so easy for someone like me to qualify for a mortgage. I make decent money and have perfect rental history, my issue is not being able to save up tens of thousands for a down payment needed for a traditional mortgage. That is not a requirement for NACA's purchase program. I plan on doing more volunteer work for this amazing organization and am beyond elated that I will be a homeowner this year.

My experience with NACA has been great and they have been able to work with me as best as possible in order for me to obtain the perfect property. My counselor has been very helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to purchase their first home!

Hello for starters I recently filed bankruptcy so I called NACA office and specifically asked if I could do the program the lady put me and hold to get some assistance with my question came back and said if you filed 13 you can’t until your discharge would could take 3 or more years but if you did 7 and your discharge you can and we can help you she also encouraged me too complete the application process and pay the fees so I did and waited months to speak with a counselor finally got my meeting last week and after about a hour she tells me that NACA can’t help me for at the minimum 2 years by law I explained to her that I was told by an associate that you guys could help I felt mislead all the intrusive information I put into the portal to be told there’s nothing they could do so disappointed I feel like this company wants way too much control over you for paying the closing cost and guaranteeing you your monthly payment stays the same it kind of reminded me of how welfare use too treat people year’s ago my counselor was professional and respectful and another thing your credit score does matter they watch it like any other lender would so very misleading my experience was horrible

I recently started my road to ownership through the NACA program. My counselor Katya Walker is an experienced professional and has provided me with so much advice and information throughout this process. The NACA program provides assistance for those of us who may not have believed that homeownership was possible. I look forward to making my dream of homeownership come true through the NACA program.
