Signed up for their Internet like a Canadian moron. Found out that they're owned by Rogers their absolutely obstinate IVR, after two hours of waiting to speak to them to see when they were coming because they don't tell you that when you confirm that they took your $3 for the registration fee when they're coming to your house to hook it up the Internet she told me on this IVR that she basically hung me up to the customer service when I called for the first time because I called at 8:30 and they close at 9. Me now screaming and swearing at the thing saying that there's no reason for it to keep cutting me off and hanging up on me she didn't explain ever this robot that people who call after a certain time will not get through in the queue because they can't pay people any overtime. But she told me the second time I called after I called actually like three more times was never getting through that I could go to a Rogers store where they would take care of me faster with my needs here at ComWave so I like a stupid Canadian idiot drove 20 km an hour on an 80 highway to take three days to get very safely to my stable and monopolistic slop corporations that give you like whatever that human-based literally drink that people had in that book or movie or whatever; soylent green. Where you just worship Ted Rogers and people are still talking about those Shermans and Rosemary Barton ruins with all her food that she consumes, the NDP's only chance they ever had to win and so the first Prime Minister's party's name was liberal conservative and so people think that those are actually two different parties and the same thing as in America and you go to these companies and then they say no we can't help you here at Rogers because we have a different system than Comwave then you ask them who bought Comwave and they tell you to go home. There is no innovation in this country none whatsoever no competition these companies don't need to help you because why would they they need to take their gold plated silver spoon lessons for their children to be going to private school on your dime and why would they want to stop their kids from going to private school you will feed their entire families and their serfs and you'll be happy. How dare any corporation that makes probably like what is it; 800 million maybe every three years cannot even provide a basic phone service for people to call in and it's a scandal so bad that CBC covers it but they're just scandalous, themselves and everybody calls them too statist they're nothin like that I could never say anything on their comment boards about Rob Ford and his proclivities even after that tape came out because they have Saudi Arabian moderators and just everything is just set up for the removal of the rights of the common man in this country and you better do it safely and you better not stir the boat or you will face the wrath of these like I don't even know what they are they're just in bed with the regulators they're not even any kind of like justice system in this country like if you get fraud you have the anti-fraud centre that's run by like a charity out of like a knitting farm for like a church out of old ladies. It's like a volunteer organisation they don't even do anything you just complain about people and they just maybe tell the police and the police probably do nothing either because it's commoners' law and it's all garbage. Which was a system invented for illiterates who didn't feel like havin written evidence so all they wanted to do was gossip and attack sexual assault victims on the stand. I would think that it would be far easier to bribe a judge, this system than it would be to bribe one where everything is written out and the only people who can change the law are the legislators; you know the people who are there to make laws instead of these judges who change their mind on their own judge made laws that they passed in the 70s on abortion so now abortion is banned in America. And they think they're doing the religious right wing thing but abortion is up and down in the Bible even God does it Himself. Everything is a farce; I'm leaving all my anti-Canadian views that I've pent up for 38 years tonight on all the different companies that are garbage. In this oligarchy and I've reviewed so far BMO and next is going to be Bell and Rogers can take this one. Nothing has changed since when I was a boy and you were not allowed to have a telephone provider that was outside of Bell Canada because they had a government sponsored monopoly and then people woke up to that you think you woke up you don't even do anything about it neither do I nobody does anything about anything and all these criminals run away with bags of money and carpet bagging they'll probably privatise healthcare soon and you can have your shitty public pension that they'll ruin and they'll give to Alberta, to separate

Very disappointed with conwave didn't…

Very disappointed with conwave didn't even get the opportunity to be hooked up.I hour on the phone with my daughter then an 1 hour with me Couldn't get connected.couldn't promise me sending somebody to house for a cable hook up...Very disappointed in their customer service ended up sending everything back.If this is how first time service will be with them dont want their service! They dont even deserve to be rated

Comwave was a reasonable choice until…

Comwave was a reasonable choice until Rogers got involved. Since then, the service has been horrible. TV reception stopped for hours. Modems were repeatedly replaced to no avail. Service requests were ignored. Calls for help were difficult with ongoing language issues with those who finally did answer their phones at Comwave. The company double billed in error but never did refund their mistake. When the account was finally ended, Comwave/Rogers took an additional $300+ in cancellation fees according to a contract they claimed existed — it did not. They made us pay for shipping their equipment back and then charged an additional two $25 restocking fees.

UPDATE. 3/26/26. Spoke with a customer service rep named Nicole who was most sympathetic regarding this travesty. She worked with her manager in customer service and they agreed to refund this customer the $300+ that had been charged to her account. Thank you Nicole!

Horrible for watching any sports or shows with a lot of action, like hockey which is my favourite! It’s very jumpy and makes you feel like you’re on a bender. It works good for turtle racing though!

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Had Comwave as our ISP at my office. 3 year contracts. We had been customers for around 6 years and were told we had 30 days to cancel before contract automatically renewed. Called to cancel so that our contract wasn't renewed for another 3 years (price was no longer competitive) and instead of cancelling on our renewal date as discussed they cut us off a few days later and refused to reconnect us even though our contract was fully paid up until the end of our term. As a result, our place of business was without internet service for almost two weeks as we scrambled to get reconnected with another company. Customer service representatives were rude, unhelpful and seemed punitive in dealing with THEIR error because we chose to cancel. Avoid this company at all costs!

Je déconseille fortement cette compagnie d'internet. Mon expérience a été une véritable arnaque à la fin. les conseillers sont des victimes de la politique de cette entreprise.
L'attitude de l'entreprise est totalement déplorable. Ils ne respectent absolument pas leurs clients, et leurs promesses sont des mensonges. Il est clair que l'objectif de cette compagnie est simplement de maximiser ses profits au détriment de ses abonnés.

Ne perdez pas votre temps ni votre argent avec eux. Une véritable arnaque !

Soon after my complaint, Camille from Comwave with Rogers phoned up and discussed the issues with me. She was very polite and compassionate. She promised to refund the charges of $276.85 which she did. Thank you, Camille, for your compassionate conversation with me.

This shows that Comwave with Rogers is committed to improve customer service to fulfill and satisfy their clients.

No wonder why Comwave's rating is at 2.4. I have been with this company for the past 14 years. Two months ago, I had a heart attack and while I was waiting for my open heart surgery, I contacted Comwave to suspend/cancel my account as I felt uncertainty in my life. The lady who spoke to me was kind and immediately cancelled my account, and gave me the confirmation of cancellation ticket 793269.

On Oct. 25, 2025, Comwave, without my consent, charged my visa card with $169.50 and on the next day with $107.35 when I did not have any pending payment owed to them. Total amount Comwave charged my card illegally was $276.85.

I wrote to them of illegally charging my visa card and took up the matter with the service provider and lodged charge backs for both the amount.

COMWAVE IS NON-RELLIABLE, UNTRUST WORTHY AND FRAUDSTERS!

Just don’t try it

First time I ever write a review.

I wanted to get out of Bell. Comwave was offering for a similar price a better speed. Did everything on the phone, was told there would be an activation fee (okay no problem).

Wasn’t told I had to buy the cable to plug the modem to the wall, as it was a self installation service. Call them, they can’t do anything. Then I finally managed to make it work.

Funny enough I had a Zoom call, two weeks separated, with the same person, (first time was on bell, second on Comwave), and it didn’t work. I took the call last time from the office, now I had to take it from the living room at less then 5 feet from the modem. Even connected with cable to a PS5, speed was subpar.

I call them less than a month in to cancel. They tell me that I have to return the equipment (no problem), but I’m the one paying the shipping ? I had to call another time to be told that yes, I had to. I paid the shipping (around 30$ with Canada post), receive a cancel confirmation, was still charge a full month of service, but at this point I was fed up and just wanted to cut to the end.

Fast forward a year, and I learned from a automated phone call that I owned them another 30$, didn’t had access to my account so I had to call cx services, and there they tell me I had a 25$+tx equipment return fees…

Cx services was mostly correct, but they miss so much information that it was just baffling. I cannot recommend you go with Comwave before they change their game.

DO NOT USE COMWAVE, YOU CAN DO BETTER!

Absolutely horrible customer service and has no ability to communicate properly.

I waited 3 weeks for comwave to install the modem in my residence. They simply did not show up to an appointment, and then didn't honor the second appointment because customer service forgot to put the A on my address.

They charged me for 10 days of internet when I didn't even have the service available to me, and after 3 weeks of constantly calling and trying to figure out what's going on, offered me a 10$ discount.

DO NOT USE COMWAVE, YOU CAN DO BETTER!

Comwave is the WORST

It is the worst internet provider as I really look forward to get rid of them as soon as my damn contract is done in September. The speed is not stable, all modem settings are gone if there is any power outage and I have to set it again especially for device and wireless MAC filtering which means no security. The technical support sucks as I called them several times about setting device MAC filtering in modem, but any other devices can connect to wi-fi without any trouble and wireless MAC filtering not only is not working at all but I cannot even add any more MAC, but the tech told me they updated modem firmware and it would OK but nothing changed and still experiencing the same issue. AND finally customer service is the worst and even unable to say sorry for all this trouble. It is something like we got you and you are not able to do anything till the contract is over. It is just my regret to believe their words and ads. I hope no one else have this horrible experience with Comwave.

Good, But Not Great

I'm happy with my Comwave service, but it has been problematic trying to reach anyone there for technical support. It took me two days and lots of time waiting on hold to get through. Comwave is owned by Rogers now, so that could be part of the problem. The good news is when I did reach someone, they did a great job at resolving my issue, which turned out to be faulty hardware.

Be careful - It is going to cost you

Comwave states the price will never change. It did. You have to call and they put it back.

They pay games to get more money of you monthly.

Off shore support

There is a RESTOCKING fee after your return their equipment. WOW - Should have keep the equipment and paid for it.
I will never recommend them.

File a complaint against Comwave with the CCTS

You will get billed an early cancellation fee no matter what you do because you can only cancel by phone and it is impossible to get through to them by phone. You will never know the date on which you can cancel without a fee because your invoice says you have a 3-year plan but their system says you have a 4-year contract that renews automatically without any notification to you. The contract is entered into verbally (is that even legal?) and if you want a copy of what you agreed to, you have to request a transcript of the phone conversation and pay for it, but you have to know the exact date and time you had the conversation! My phone stopped working. I filed a support request. They closed the case without fixing the phone. This did not give me grounds to cancel the contract without the early cancellation fee, although I cancelled before auto renewal! You will be billed for non-return of the equipment even if you return it on time. You can get that reversed by calling them. Wait times are 80 minutes but your call will be dropped before that. There's a $25 restocking fee that no one mentions. I urge you to file a complaint with the CCTS to get your money back and get these scammers put out of business.

Comwave is running major…

ThIs company (Comwave)is running major scam. We signed up for free month trial. After 1 month THEY disconnected service. We called to say we wanted to keep but they wanted 3 yr contract to which we said forget it. Now more than a month later they have withdrawn over $200 from our bank account saying it is an “early cancellation” fee. Am having bank reverse and block comwave access but EVERYONE needs to know that these people are accessing and stealing from your bank account. We tried to remove all our info from their site but even though it says account inactive all our info, including bank info remains and cannot be removed. #Comwave
