I’ve been an active customer of Coins and Collectibles for the past 14 months. My story is a unique one as I began collecting at age 8, mentored by my father’s brother, a MASH surgeon in Vietnam. He was as meticulous about coins as he was about his surgical procedures. In fact, it was because of him that I too decided to pursue medicine as a neuroimmunologist neurologist caring for patients with chronic Neurologic disorders. By the time I was 18 my collection was appraised at over $250,000. Sadly our home in California was robbed and I lost it all. So distraught I was, I swore I’d never collect again. That was until I met the Wizard of UK numismatics, the owner and innovator that Coins and Collectibles has become. I can honestly say that IMRAN single handedly re-inspired me to recognize the very special nature of coin collecting, with clear and special dividends with respect to history, investing, and the joy of learning. In fact it has been because of IMRAN that I have journey across the comfort zone of United States numismatics, crossed the pond and have become telescoped upon UK coin collecting. While I cannot say that IMRAN has taught me everything about this new and exciting odyssey in my life, without question he has taught me the most important things. Facilitating such has been the Coins and Collectibles Shop he single handedly created, for the express purpose of illuminating the magic that UK Numismatics is all about. In fact, to fully understand the evolution of American Numismatics, you really must first commence your journey in the United Kingdom, as America initially was an extension of Great Britain. The continuity of such is unmistakable.
