Their rewards program is lackluster and the service is mediocre at best. Only go to a couple locations when they don't have a drive thru line wrapping around the building (one in Long Beach off Los Coyotes and the other off the 405). I don't even bother with the location on Atlantic and Carson because the parking lot is usually full and it's a pain to get in. Since I go inside to place my order, it appears that drive thru order take priority so a five to ten minute wait is common.
Product itself is OK but there are plenty of places I can go where it's much more convenient rather than having to fight parking or a drive thru....Starbuck's, Steelcraft and Steelhead are a few that come to mind (and a few others I can't recall but they're indie shops).

I came in before 4 PM, probably like +20 mins early to order my drink, they had a promo buy ONE, get the other one for $1. Basically, a BOGO deal of the day. I didn’t really want coffee in my drank but that’s what they made me… UNFORTUNATELY…. They have MESSED UP MY DRANK ORDER TWICE ALREADY AT THIS SPECIFICALLY LOCATION!!!!! IT IS QUITE ANNOYING ASF. FML :/
Theft
I was wronged. Staff member was incredibly sick, constantly sneezing, and then using the same hands to make drinks after blowing nose. I was told I'd receive credit for the tossed drinks, then ghosted by corporate. I was very polite & waited months but nothing happened. This is theft in my eyes.

This company sells fake gift cards through ZIFT, and then won't honor them on their website. They tell you you have to use their app which is only good for local purchases and is broken anyways. After days and many exchange emails you'll get no help at all from them, they're just scammers, and if you sign up with them be prepared to start getting spammed and non-stop at your email address. This is a horrible outfit stay as far away as you can.
Practically impossible to get resolution from customer service.
If you have an issue with the site or a subscription it's a chore to get a resolution.
They sent me a discount code that does not work. Four days of back and forth with no resolution. They ask me the same questions that I've already given them the answers to. I work on the backend of a Shopify site. I know how easy it would be to just create a new code for me.
I'm also trying to cancel a subscription. When you sign up, they suggest that you just click cancel. Not true. You email them. I've resent the email several times over the past week with no response.
Horrible customer service
This company automatically enrolled me in a subscription. You can't cancel on the portal. I tried doing via email. They said it was canceled then charged me....then again agreed it was canceled....then charged me again. Do not do business with them....your money is not safe. It's still ongoing even though they agreed in writing I have no subscription.

Beware of their gift card!!!
I redeemed a lot of Citi Thankyou points and converted them into a gift card from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Company. I live in New Jersey, and when I tried to order coffee online using my gift card, the website indicated that the company doesn’t deliver to my address. When I contacted the company, I was told that I needed to use the gift card at a physical company location. However, the company is California-based, and has no East Coast locations.
There was no statement or warning provided by The Coffee Bean company indicating that they didn’t ship to New Jersey. Moreover, the company has no customer service number—you cannot connect with a human being there. You can only email with them, and the email responses I received basically told me, in a fake polite manner, “go eff yourself.”

Hacker’s steal email addresses to send phishing via PayPal email!
I have patronized this local store, near my doctors office, three times in the last week. I liked their herbal iced teas. But today, I realized that a phishing PayPal email transaction (fraudulent one!), arose from the Jollibee corporation The Coffee Bean & Tea leaf!
When I tried to download their app for points and coupons, my iPhone advised me NOT TO PROCEED. I didn’t, but tried logging in through the website. I reported this to the local store but the drive up girl said I needed the app for their 50% off on Mondays after 12:00. Her eyes got big when I told her of my experience! I asked her for their corporate headquarters phone number. She didn’t know it; but it’s in California.
What a nightmare! This corporation is all over the internet for how its website had been hacked. I can’t even reach the company to talk to a human.
Hackers are everywhere, but I don’t need to patronize this company any longer.
Unique Coffee Chain
Really like this Coffee Chain. They have many locations in Southern California, and offer different choices from Starbucks. I really like the hot tea lattes, something you can't really get at Starbucks. The only issue is they are limited geographically, so you have to live or visit in very specific areas. Very good mobile ordering and overall friendly staff. Only complaint is their app, everytime they do a update I lose my login.
Very unhappy coffee drinker
I have been waiting for almost 6 months for a bag of coffee I ordered and paid for. Can't speak with anyone, just emails telling you they will send a tracking number and a coupon and never follow through. How does a business stay in business. My my book, you stole from me. Why? I was a customer for over 4 years, but never again. Plenty of coffee company's out there. My emailing has been going on since February with a gal Jessica C. So dissatisfied and I know a little bit about sales, I've been in the business for over 25 years. I am leaving this review for my Mother. Sent another email tonight, guess I'll wait and see if they will make this right.

I wonder if those who run this company even care about customer reviews? Sadly, I love their Vanilla Ceylon tea but they are always sold out, along with many other brands. I visited The Coffee Bean at the Vegas airport. Ordered a large x-hot chair tea. Gave the cashier a $50 she gave me change for a $20 and refused giving me change.

I bought $80 worth of coffee from their website coffeebean.com, and they sent me outdated coffee. They dont have a phone # to call, they only have a form to fill out on their website in order to contact them. I have filled out this form at least 8 times in the last month, I have included all of the required information like the order number, and my contact phone and email. There is an auto-reply email sent to me each time saying that a customer relations specialist will be contacting me. NO ONE EVER CONTACTS ME!! Its been a month and a half now, Such bad business
