I'm pretty sure there'll be some bullshit response from them, but this is what happened:
First of all this company has different names. Originally it was Clove Market, in their emails they are called Clove Technology and on Trustpilot the name is Clove Recycling.
I bought a Google Pixel 6 for my wife. Soon she realised that the screen was flickering when she was using the camera. I bought another one, she moved her stuff over and I sent the first one back for a full refund.
The second one had issues with the screen as well (flickering, opening apps randomly, etc.) but we were outside the 30 days warranty.
After 2 bad phones we didn't want a third one from them so we bought one from BackMarket. She moved her stuff over again and I sent the one back to Clove saying that we lost our confidence so we just want or money back. And here comes the catch.
I took pictures of the phone, packed it up and sent it to them. I did get an email from them saying the screen is cracked followed by a long ass arrogant explanation why they think the phone wasn't damaged during transport but by us! I showed them the pictures taken right before packing it up and I did get a similar answer to the first one.
So instead of making a claim towards DPD damaging a packege on transit they simply sent the broken phone back to me...

Because I only payed £130 for the second phone and I managed to sell it on Ebay for £70 I decided not to fight with them but I'm gonna make sure no person I know is buying anything from this bunch!!!

I sent my old iPhone 15 in for recycling and had the quoted trade in value in my account on the same day that the phone was recevied by Clove. I have to admit to being a little wary as there are several unhappy reviews posted, however my experience was perfect.

Absolute mint condition iPhone 15 pro max with 91% battery health when I sent it, well above the quoted requirement of 85% or above, is seriously devalued by Clove Recycling due to battery health. I query this and I’m given a generic response of their diagnostic software does not agree with the battery health I see with my own eyes. Can I trust this, who knows, but they move the goal posts with no evidence. I won’t be using them again and I wouldn’t recommend them to friends or family. If they quote 85% battery health as a minimum they should provide evidence of why a 91% battery health phone (what was reported by the OS of the phone) has not met this 85% requirement, or provide more specifics beyond battery health percentage in their quote as to what constitutes the battery health requirements. The whole experience left me not trusting them for future trade-ins. Themselves saying they can be trusted does not hold water when I trade in a phone with 91% battery health, 6% above their quoted threshold, and they provide no evidence as to why that requirement is not met. Send me the battery health report then I’ll trust you.

I saw this company recommended online and had never heard of them but they had good reviews and people thought they were fair.
Turns out they are excellent. Everything was done so quickly with great communication. My phone was in excellent condition, their offer was very reasonable and they paid very quickly.

Great service all round. Sent the return label immediately after the quote. Updated once the parcel arrived, then within a few hours confirmation that all was good and my money had been processed. Couldn’t be easier or quicker. Will definitely use them again.

If you are looking to sell your phone this is the company to do it with, excellent service, no messing, very fast payout once your phone has been inspected, they keep you informed of what's going on, I would highly recommend them.

I placed my order before going to work in the afternoon. I received the delivery bag next day and dropped off my packaged phone at the post office using the freepost envelope before work that day. The money hit my account before work the following day with no adjustments to the initial quote! Fantastic service that I would highly recommend!

This is a total con. I received a quotation for a Samsung s21 phone. Prior to sending the phone off, i took several high resolution pictures, just incase i had any issues. The revaluation i received was £60, claiming the phone had heavy scratches on the display screen, which as the pictures i took proved, simply wasn't the case.
I challenged the revised quotation, only to have the same answer repeated. I even emailed then the pictures I had taken to prove the condition of the phone, however they repeated the same answers and, failed to provide any written report. I finally asked for a complaints email address, however they have failed to provide this, so will now look at taking this matter further. My mobile was returned and no scratches on the display screen. I would have attached pictures of the mobile here, but I don't have this option sadly.

I checked all the comparison sites and although another site was paying more for my S21 FE, the reviews for Clove were what swung the deal.
Packaging and prepaid returns slip arrived promptly, and on arrival at their premises, my order was quickly reviewed and payment for agreed amount was issued that day, notifying me at each step.
Great service and would definitely recommend.

Really impressed with Clove. Comfortably offered the best price for my Pixel 8 Pro. Notifications all the way through the process and the payment was in my account the same day they received the phone (posted it to them Saturday and was paid on the Monday, with no quibbles over the offer).
