Just closed my account with no explanation after recently upping my spending allowance. No reason, extremely poor correspondence. Avoid this company at all costs

I had my phone stolen I lost my passwords so contacted them despite sending them proof of who I am a new email and phone they froze my account so I have contacted them several times and now have delegated the app
So disappointed their customer service is appalling bad

Absolute crap company was going through a hard time with being scammed ,had to change all my bank details,got back to clearpay and paid my account off ,to be told I can’t use ever again.customer service is just a waste off time ,is there any higher you can go there an absolute joke

Absolutely rubbish company
Absolutely rubbish company. Admittedly I was late paying my balance but cleared it in full under the assumption my services would be restored (in black and white from them on an email). DO NOT BELIEVE THIS RUBBISH!! They will take the money and then close your account for ever! Customer service didn't want to know despite me threatening them with watchdog due to false / misleading information.

They have not refunded me twice both Marks & Spencer goods.
I have emailed the 9 times with no joy whatsoever I’m shocked as I genuinely thought they were a proper company.
I too have reported them to the FO and will issue a claim in the courts.
DO NOT USE THEM.

Unbelievable been on app in the help bit and Been waiting 3 hours on a reply some customer service not surprised with all the reviews on trustpilot says it all I got past onto clearpay bye a friend of mine and now I'm having second thoughts why do they let you download the app and wait to you have filled everything in and been excepted and given 450 pound balance and have you thinking you can go make purchases and even tell you that you can go to shops and use your virtual card to make purchases when you can't even get a purchase for 50 pounds and before clearpay message back and say anything about making sure you have funds in your back account for them to take 25% of what your purchase is also that everything you filled out the app is the same as when making the purchase so to be clear hear everything is perfect I've checked several times and have also tried the purchase numerous times also lowered my payment purchase which is really silly as what is the percentage of 50 pound of 450 pounds yes so it's pointless lowering my purchase it would be a waste of time can someone at least reply to my messages hear or on the help bit on app which I'm still waiting on reply for the last 3 and a half hours much appreciated Mr Robert Callaghan clearpay are just a waste of time as per its the usual message ever one gets back to every message go to the app and go to icon and select help what a waste of time I've already done that and waited 10 hours without reply what now..

Clear pay has taken refunds for all my returned orders. Please don’t use them, it’s a fraudulent outlet. I wish l had read reviews before using them. Never again. They’ve taken over 300£ from me, it’s ridiculous, and you get no where with ther customer service team. They keep sending silly emails instead of resolving the issue. Stay away people

Shocking service being charged for orders that I do not have.
23rd July made a order online with river island purchased some sandals at £15 soon as I made this transaction I got a email of cancellation from river island instantly however the money was deducted of my clear pay balance and £3.75 was taken for my first payment from my bank account….as I said this was cancelled by river island and I have sent you copies of this email cancellation to prove this and it looks like I’m fighting a battle now and getting no where I want this sorting or I will take further action this is your mistake I want my first payment I made back and. The money putting back on my balance I do not owe this…..I have spoken to river island directly about this they have not taken any money from clear pay…this needs sorting I’m not getting anywhere this is your error

Scammed
My daughter has only used Clearpay once a long time ago. Last week her bank account showed several transactions all Clearpay all different amounts, none of them hers, they amounted to over £400. She phoned the fraud dept at her bank and they refunded her cancelled her card and sent her a new card. Two days later same thing again, several transactions with different amounts this time over £200. Scary, we cannot understand how they got her new card details. She tried to sort this out with Clearpay but could not get hold of anyone there. Please never use this awful company. I use Klarna regularly and they are brilliant

To be honest I’m very surprised how this app has only 2 stars because it has never really failed me every item ordered has successfully been delivered with no problems what’s so ever the only downside is probably the harsh credit limit even after multiple back to back purchase with no increase but I’m sure each to there own I guess

Card cloned after using ClearPay.
Never use the card or bank account that is connected to my ClearPay account…used it for the first time to pay for something via ClearPay two days ago, and it was immediately cloned & many attempts to pay for things were made. Now my card has been blocked. Their security must be really bad.

CLEARPAY STAND WITH SCAMMERS
i have been scammed and never received my goods ,
CLEARPAY refused to refund as seller provided them fake tracking number ,
AVOID CLEAR PAY , will never order something trough the CLEARPAY ,
rubbish customer care .
Let the seller keep the goods and my money
Reported a return several times for another joke of a company -GeeHair.com - seller refuses to refund me or respond despite signing for the goods on 18th June.
For some unknown reason, Clearpay ‘found in the seller’s favour’, letting them keep the goods and my money. Clearly nobody has bothered to even look at the tracking.
I’ve considered this a criminal matter and I have reported Clearpay to the Financial Ombudsman, Trading Standards and I am opening a county court claim by the end of this week.
I will take great pleasure in imposing the court fees plus 8% interest charge on these clowns.
EDIT Tried to message on the app, it says ‘unable to open a dispute at this time’

The customer service team is utterly…
UPDATE: The Trustpilot reply says it all. Incompetent. I have advised you SO many times I have deleted my Clearpay account - how on earth can I contact you via the app and via my account if I have deleted my account. Honestly, this is utterly embarrassing for you as a company. An absolute bunch of repetitive, macro using bots.
The customer service team is utterly shocking and frankly incompetent. My question was simple: How will I receive a refund for an order paid with Clearpay now that my Clearpay account is closed? Ara, in particular, lacks comprehension skills and keeps resending the same generic email instead of addressing my question. This experience has been appalling, and I am now extremely glad I closed my Clearpay account, even though that wasn’t my initial reason for doing so.

Ignore emails
Ignore emails - I have been trying to reach to clearpay about a dispute - which was cancelled from my Monzo bank and I sent them proof to show that it had been cancelled by my bank, yet my account is still frozen on Clearpay - I have sent them proof like 4 times and they just blank me. But if I stopped paying I'm sure they would be sending me emails.
I've asked for someone from the "management team" to ring me about a complaint, but I have still not heard anything.
They then tell you to go to the help page on your Clearpay app, but I have done this for over 2 weeks and nobody has replied to me!

This credit company appeared on my Temu account which had nothing to do with me... as I dont have a clearpay account and I don't use credit...

Just as I predicted Clearpay do their cut and paste utter nonsense. They are full of complete c***. They will fo nothing . I intend to ignore them and the account will be closed in 2 weeks. Nothing will change they are still the predictable disgusting human beings they have always been and absolutely nothing has changed
Never never take any notice of their grovelling messages to contact. It will all come to nothing and the agony will just carry on. Either shut your account immediately or never never open one to start with. Have they contributed to someone ending up really ill. I would put my house on it.
I have been reviewing for nearly 2 decades. This Company Clearpay are the worst Customer Service I have come across in 20 years. They are so appalling I can take no more. They are utter utter lying vermin. Who make promise after promise and then continually let you down. They are so bad I have had serious stress issues and my wife has suffered a stroke. I am not saying they are responsible for the stroke but the stress they have caused most definitely has gone some way into causing it. I have one last payment to make then I have informed them to shut this account down for good. I beg you do not go near them under any circumstances. Just do not the stress they will cause you will have you pulling your hair out. When I say these people are dangerous to your health if you are elderly I beg you DO NOT GO NEAR THEM. THE ADVERSE REACTION MAY WELL CAUSE YOU TO HAVE SERIOUS FURTHER HEALTH CONDITIONS. IN 2 WEEKS MY ACCOUNT WILL BE SHUT FROM THESE DISGUSTING DESPICABLE PEOPLE.

every time i go on amazon clearpay charge 3 pounds but states you will only be charged for wat you have spent so you owe me 100s of pounds will report this to trading standards fraud comes to mine as you state no charges well you have thank god this conservative goverment have gone and will can tax these rich money takers
I’ve used Clearpay for a few years now…
I’ve used Clearpay for a few years now and never had a problem. I had access to lots of gift cards that i used regularly for gifts. All of a sudden they remove most of my gift cards. They told me that if I make regular payments that this may change. I’ve never missed a payment in all the years I’ve used them. They haven’t lowered my credit limit though. It’s really annoying. They just send me the same automated message when I’ve complained and asked why this happened. Now I’m having problems with buying from Iceland and have been for the past 2 days. Won’t recognise the items in my basket. Not sure what’s going on with Clearpay over the last few weeks. Never had a problem before.
