The excuses this company have given me.

The excuses this company have given me. We need wayleave, we cannot install a feed just to your flat, it has to be all flats (A few days ago they installed a feed to a single first floor flat in our block). Toob was ready to connect me up and had sent the router out so I checked the day before as there was no sign of a cable being laid or a box placed on the wall, they told Toob that a manager had cancelled the job, never contacted myself or Toob about it. You cannot contact them directly as you have to go through your supplier, even when you do not have a supplier? Joke of a company. No reply, what a surprise!

Finally BT no more

As someone who has been hostage to BT and openreach for many years is great to see competition where cityfiber provide cheaper and faster internet.

The installation was seamless, where a custom run was required where we choose to run to the garage which was very tidy and meant I did not need to dig out my walls if it was installed where fiber met the house.

The engineers where informative and took care to make sure they did a tidy good job. Was even given a cable with extra slack so I could cable manage the hub.

Wast of time and wast of space

Wast of TIME & wast of space…
Sky sent them to install Fiber at my address in Huddersfield. And they refused to do it because my building has a TeleCare Alarm. So had to go through BT Openreach 🤷‍♂️..
As I am against forcing people to work, I would advise those in Huddersfield NOT to use CityFiber !!! and go directly with an operator that uses Openreach (you can find them on Openreach site)..
On top of my complaint with CityFiber, I raised a complaint with Sky Broadband, my local Council and informed the Huddersfield Examiner….
The Huddersfield Council has told me that CityFiber’s refusal to install Fiber was not founded and falls, as the Alarm is independent from any Phone or Fiber installation and secondly I do not use the system in my apartment…
So CityFiber could have installed Fiber in my apartment, it was another issue (time, running late, lack of technicians, etc…) The alarm was just an excuse…

Trustworthy service

Efficient service - installation engineers were respectful and polite; informative about what to expect about the services being live, etc. no problems and issues encountered at all and we are happy with the installation process.

Excellent service from City Fibre

Had our full fibre broadband fitted yesterday by City Fibre. Couldn’t fault their service . They lifted a row of block paving to run the fibre cable down our drive and you wouldn’t have known they had been lifted . The two engineers so respected our property inside and out , and it was all left as they found it . Highly recommend them . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thomas the engineer disappeared

They have made two appointments now to install, they cancelled the first due to unsafe pole.
Returned yesterday had a text my engineer Thomas was outside, he walked up the driveway then disappeared never to be seen again.
Honestly stay away from this company.
Terrible communication skills, it’s like they really don’t want the job.

Groundhog Day but they never get it right

Absolute joke of a company. Decided to switch to Sky and got an installation date.
ROUND 1
Day 1- Engineer comes around fixes everything and finds that the connection is not working - possibly cable fault.
Day 2- Another set of engineers come around the next day and confirm the cable fault and that it will be fixed in 48 hours.
Day 3 - get a message from Cityfibre saying they are sorry I cancelled (I had not) and asking me to contact Sky.
After 3 hours on the phone Sky say they have to place the order again
Day 5 - get a new router though I told them I have one already.
Day 6 - get a box asking me to return the router.
ROUND 2
Repeat of Round 1
ROUND 3
So far the sequence is staying true to form
I am just wondering how many more rounds. In the meantime my advice to people - stay clear of Cityfibre and Sky - made for each other. Synchronised jokers

Full Fibre installation at 120 Glanderston

Firstly although the job was under my name at 120 Glanderston, this feedback is shared to include no.122

August 2025, same job cancelled after engineers described what it entailed.

Had these engineers been Alan & Kenny who attended it, then it would have gone ahead in 2025.

From the very start, both myself & Russell (no.122), felt a calm reassure from your guys when describing ever aspect of the work entailed.

Once the work was confirmed ok to proceed from Russell & myself, it was completed.

I’d like to summarise as follows

Pre description of work involved - 5⭐️
Did work match description - 5 ⭐
External work & satisfaction - 5⭐️
Internal work & satisfaction - 5 ⭐
Customer service - 5 star ⭐️
Professionalism - 5 ⭐
Assurance of process of any future issues / service - 5 ⭐️

You might feel this is exaggerated, but it isn’t. Both Russell & myself were concerned about this work after 2025 discussions. However these fears were instantly laid to rest with Alan’s explanation.

I am not always the easiest customer to please, but both Russell & I agree strongly agree that if this is the benchmark which your company strives to achieve, then you should be proud of both Alan & Kenny as they have shown that your company is in good hands.

If you feel there is an aspect I haven’t covered, it will also be a 5 ⭐

I am very happy with the services…

I am very happy with the services rendered, the installation was smooth, polite engineer, he explained all he was going to do and took consent to proceed. Very strong signal since installation, no complain or lagging.
