Had a couple of deliveries from Champion Timber now. Each time, driver has turned up when expected, friendly and helpful enough to leave the delivery in back garden until I need to use it.

Om Champion Timber
Skrivet av företaget
Champion Timber - Specialist Timber Merchant.
Unrivalled quality. Unrivalled range. Unrivalled service.
Good quality timber is a joy to work with and creates a better job. In fact, cheap timber is often a false economy, as anyone who has had to deal with excessive knots, warped joists or splitting timber knows.
At Champion, we source our own timber from Northern Scandinavia, machine it ourselves and sell directly to you. By doing this, we control the quality and continuity of supply and offer the best quality at competitive prices. We also have a comprehensive range and carry vast stocks of decking, landscaping timbers, fencing, sheet materials, insulation, flooring, doors and stairparts. We also stock a wide selection of timber-related products such as fixings, adhesives, power tools, ironmongery, paint, and much more.
With 10 branches across the South East, we are the region's leading independent timber specialist with over 90 years of experience of supplying the trade. We are dedicated to providing you, the professional, with the range and quality of timber that will save you time and money.

First Class Service!
I recently visited Champions (Bromley Branch) to get some decking boards. Staff were incredibly helpful, they calculated the number of boards I needed, carried out several cuts and provided an all round fantastic service. They went above and beyond ....and with a smile! 😊

Worst delivery service ever
Had a delivery from Champion Timber in New Malden on Friday 17 of July 2021. The driver left everything on the pavement and because it was s 3.6 mm ply the wind blew it all over a busy road in central London. The lady which manages the offices, rang me to let me know that she wasn't happy with my shopping choice and had to one of the guys in the offices for help. Rang the branch and David told me that a lady I think she is the transport manager was going to ring me shortly. Waited all day, rang them back, Jack told me she had gone home and he was going to leave a note. No has rang back. Having done business with Champions for years their delivery service always has been rubbish. I have never understood their delivery service. Until they get prosecuted for leaving things wherever they can, they will never learn. I don't think they even have a customer service.

Really, really helpful staff in Bromley
I only use the Bromley branch so cannot comment about elsewhere. The staff in Bromley are so helpful and patient with keen DIY builders who need advice before buying. I really cannot speak highly enough about this branch!

Viv, thank you for the lovely review. We will be sure to pass these comments onto the Chessington branch.
Bunch of clowns!
This company wanted £50.00 to delivery 4 x 1.2 metres of Ogee architrave to Reading! Apparently they couldn't put it in the post - they'd have to "hire a van" to deliver it. Total p*ss take!

Hello Sharon, unfortunately, this is just the way that we operate. We have a fleet of vehicles that cover the local area for free delivery, anything outside of this area is chargeable. In addition to this, putting 4 x 1.2m lengths of moulding into the post would be both impractical and most likely end in damages in transit, therefore this is why we suggested hiring a courier to deliver this order.
Can't fault Champions
Can't fault Champions. The staff are always super helpful and carry out their jobs with a smile. Definitely recommended.

Very helpful customer service via telephone.
Online ordering should be improved, but I'm still giving them 5 stars.
