First time using this company and wow I was impressed. Items were a great price, so I ordered and they arrived the next day!! Unfortunately they were the wrong rating (my fault) so I rang them to cancel the order and the lovely lady I spoke to, was super helpful and she said she would try to stop the order being dispatched if she could. She did this and the refund was in my account in a couple of days. I wouldn't hesitate to order again from this company again.

After studying reviews of lighting stores, Castlegate rate very highly and now I can understand why. Not only are their prices very competitive but just as important is their excellent customer service. One of the three lights I had chosen was delayed and Elaine went out of her way to locate an appropriate replacement, I was contacted by phone and email and the products arrived the following day. A reputation richly deserved. Thank you Elaine !

Very disappointed!
Purchased a reasonably expensive chandelier (£246.27) from this company in September 2021. In the last few days I noticed that x4 bulbs had gone out for no reason. I changed the bulbs but that changed nothing so I called an Electrician who came and inspected it and advised that the item was either faulty when purchased or developed a fault over time.

Contacted the company who advised that the item was out of the mere 12 month warranty. Surprising as for an item of that price I would have expected it to be longer (lesson 1). They then advised me to send the item to them to confirm whether there was a fault but also advised that they would not be able to replace or repair it. Sorry, but what is the point of me bringing an item to you to have it inspected if your company cannot replace and cannot fix! Sorry but some of us actually work for a living and have better things to do. I will take it as a lesson learnt and order from a more reputable company in future.

I have now taken the opportunity to seek legal advice regarding this item. Under the terms of the Consumer Rights Act, simply advising me that a Warranty is expired is NOT suffice. Your company are required by law to offer a repair. As you have omitted to do this, I will seek further advice as to whether I can claim this money back within the small claims court. NOTE that the time period for this is 6 years. That is the Law!!
