What a ripoff trying to charge $129 for…

What a ripoff trying to charge $129 for 150ml (5oz) bottle of black walnut bitters. I’ve seen maybe a maximum amount of about $20 for a bottle which I think is expensive but really $129 come on . Maybe they are smoking the bitters and not drinking it?

Buyer beware!!

Buyer beware!!! Cask Cartel didn’t ship according to the timelines that they estimated when I placed my order, they don’t allow you to cancel even when it’s WEEKS late, and you’re paying 4 to 6 times more than the average cost of the bottle. Why pay more when you’re not getting the service that you’re paying a premium for??

Likely I saw elsewhere for $55.

Inaccurate shipment status!

Inaccurate shipment status!! Spoke with Taylor on Dec 3rd and 9th because I wanted to be sure that the order that I placed on Nov 28th would deliver before Christmas. On the 9th, I was told that the package was in transit and should be at their distribution warehouse by Friday the 13th. When I called and spoke w Taylor on the 13th, she said the package is being delayed in transit. If the package hasn’t left the dock, it’s not in transit! Don’t tell customers that a package is being delayed in transit if the carrier never picked it up. That’s not the carriers fault, that’s the sellers fault. Tell customers the truth and don’t say something is delayed in transit if the carrier never picked up the package. This is basically like seeing “electronic information received” status which eComm shoppers know is a BS status. Only a physical scan should be used and communicated as “in transit.” Buyer beware!!!!

Bad experience! This company is obviously…

This company is obviously misrepresenting itself. The shipments take extremely long and their shipper is unable to give information. I’ve been trying for three days to get information from the shipper and can obtain it. After contacting fast cartel, they’re just reading it off of the same email that I’ve got. Obviously the shipment is late and the shipper has no idea when it’s supposed to be on the truck for delivery bad experience! Ed

One of the worst companies I’ve ever…

One of the worst companies I’ve ever done business with. I wouldn’t even know where to start. They took my money…5 weeks go by…after I complain enough I get 1 bottle that I ordered and they try to call the delivery complete. Then they make me prove I don’t get the second bottle…more time goes by…they tell me it’s shipped and all they did was send me another bottle of the one I had actually received. I give up…seriously. Help yourselves and run away.

Very Odd Pricings

I personally have not bought anything from them however they overcharge so much it actually makes me giggle. They charge $220.00 Canadian for a 700mL of Dead Man's Finger (passion fruit) when I bought it in person for $39.99 at a government liquor store. If you do buy from them, double check the standard retail price to make sure you don't waste your money.

They did a great job

Have to be honest, they did a great job finding what I wanted. I bought two bottles of gin that haven't been sold sincve 2014. They found them and sent them to me. It took a couple weeks, but they got the job done. Yes it's a little pricey, but for what I was looking for, worth it.

Absolute scam

Absolute scam. Bought a case of wine, only got 1 bottle. Cask Cartel finessed the order sheet to make it look like I ordered one bottle, so they could make the scam look good. Unbelievable experience.

Look at their reply to me! There was no offer to “help”. I was told that this was done by a 3rd party (lie), and that the sales are final and there’s nothing that could be done. They charged me $112 for 1 bottle of wine that I could get in any liquor store for $10.

Overpriced and kept on guessing.

I learned that my boyfriend's family is of Clan Bell. Upon research and talking with fellow Clan Bell members, I learned that the Clan has their own whiskey distillery in Scotland. I proceeded to purchase a bottle through the Cask Cartel website for our anniversary. The bottle is Bell's Original The Perfect Gift Limited Edition Whiskey, 700 ml. Pricing on the website is $149.99 and total with shipping from a location that had the bottle was $206.52, shipping cost $50.38. It took time for the bottle to be shipped. Purchase made on August 6, 2024. Bottle shipped from a location in France August 15, 2024 and arrived on my doorstep August 19, 2024.
If I had done further researching, even though I felt I did plenty, I would have found Master of Malt who has the same bottle for $19.45 and will ship for $61.26, totaling $80.71. So be aware that Cask Cartel does seem to greatly overprice their bottles and you may not know when you will get the bottle or have updates as to the status of what you purchase. I do not believe I will be purchasing from the company again due to the overinflated pricing, and uncertainty if I was to receive the bottle. 2 stars are given because I did received the bottle, but I was ripped off in my opinion.
Other reviews reflect my feelings for this company.

I did order specific bottle of bourbon…

I did order specific bottle of bourbon from them. I did not realize that all they are is basically a clearing house who finds where bottles are and ship it to you. I waited at least 10 days until they were able to locate the bottle which had me very annoyed. They then let me know that they were shipping this bottle of makers that’s made in United States from Europe and would take a month. At that point, I asked them to cancel my order and refund me the money. They did so immediately within 24 hours. So while they don’t get great reviews for the communications, etc., and they were not able to get me what I wanted , they did come through and refund me the money so be a better review than others

I would give negative stars if I could. I purchased a bottle of wine which would normally cost $25-30 max. I actually believed I purchased a case (at the least) for what I paid, but received 1 bottle only! This is clearly a scam,and I am disputing it with the credit card company.

Terrible site!

I purchased something (WAY over priced might I add) and then almost instantly changed my mind. I contacted them immediately to cancel my order before anything could’ve even been processed & they told me all sales final! They offered to take a 35% restocking fee for a transaction that never even got processed. Restocking is when you get an item BACK and have to return it to stock… no? Why a restocking fee of 35%? These guys are an absolute rip off, stay clear of this site!!

When i ordered the price for a bottle…

When i ordered the price for a bottle of sweet lucy was 19.99 a bottle and i ordered a case of 6 for 119.00. I also paid for shipping protection for 4.95, and shipping 30.38 which came to a total of 155.32 When I received my order I only received1 bottle and now when you go on there site the case is no longer available but you can buy singles for that price. What a scam Sweet lucy sells all day between 20.00 and 35.00. I sent them an e-mail still haven"t heard back . Why would i pay 155.00 for ! bottle. Buyer beware

Lost the item and blamed me

Lost the item after no clear communication how long it would even take to ship. They were quick to take my money and then blamed me for not buying this insurance or that insurance… Do not use them!!

Re: No, it wasn't resolved because you didn't let me cancel it. Replacing something late is not a resolution.

This company has ROBBED ME OF 57.00 because of I paid $119.00 for 2 orders and never received it, so now I receive my refund of $48.00. Lessons learned, never again will I deal with Cask Cartel again. Please don’t order from this company
