Worst tracking company I have ever dealt with, they treat customers poorly, they harass you about services, managers work from home so that's you don't get called backed, they don't take accountability for poor customer service, the technicians are not held accountable for not even pitching for appointment and all they do is lie.

AVOID, SWITCH, STAY AWAY! This is my 3rd review of this pathetic company, I have received on average of 2 emails a day from this useless business about an arears amount that was settled a year ago. I even dealt with their even more useless DV Law partner to ensure that everything was handled accordingly. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

My dealership recommended Tracker, but I preferred to handle it myself and chose Cartrack instead. I contacted them, went through the process, discussed pricing, and agreed to proceed. During our 30-minute call, we thoroughly covered the contract terms. I have since requested a recording of this conversation.
The salesperson assured me that while installation couldnât happen that day, he would mark it as urgent and try to schedule it for the following day. Wanting it done as soon as possible, I proceeded with the contract, assuming installation would take place within three to four days at most.
However, when I was transferred to the installation department, I was met with a completely different attitude. The woman I spoke to was dismissive, arrogant, and sarcastic. She informed me that the earliest available installation date was more than three weeks awayâalmost a monthâdirectly contradicting what the sales team had promised.
At this point, I was beyond frustrated. Cartrack had taken my bank details and signed me up under the pretense of a prompt installation, only for the installation team to claim that the sales department âalways liesâ and âobviously doesnât knowâ the actual schedule. The entire system is dysfunctional.
To make matters worse, I asked them to check with the Durban installation branch for earlier availability. Both times they attempted to call, they couldnât get throughâjust voicemail. This companyâs lack of professionalism is staggering.
Despite multiple calls, I still havenât received clear answers. Every time I phone, the line either cuts off, or Iâm told they canât reach the Durban Fitment Branch. I was provisionally booked for March 7th, yet now they claim I was never scheduled and that the earliest available slot is March 11th. The frustration is endless, and getting through to the Durban Fitment Centre is nearly impossible.
Additionally, I have twice requested recordings of my calls, as Cartrack claims all conversations are recorded. I was assured I would receive them that evening, then the following eveningâbut still, nothing. The lack of follow-through and accountability is appalling.
Now, after more than three weeks and countless phone calls, I finally secured a fitment appointment for February 24, 2025âonly for no one to show up. No call, no communication. When I phoned at 16:30, I was put on hold for 10 minutes, only to be told the technician wouldnât be coming and that I now have to wait another three weeks for the next available appointment.
I am absolutely shocked by this level of service

I had and issues with 1 of my four vechiles i have contacted with car track I called cartrack on the 28th of January because the one vechile was not loading on the app and the unit was off it shows N/A on the app, they had said they would let the technical department phone me, they never did get back to me. I called once again on the 10th of Feb and they called me on the Friday and said a technician would sort out the problem it is now the 17th of Feb and my vechile is still not sorted out, I called car track today and gave my grievances and all the problems I am having the lady told me to hold then blatantly cut the call. From the 28th of January up to the 14th of Feb I sent 4 emails with no reply so what kind of a customer service are they providing? From 2024 for 3 vechiles they had to send technicians out to change the unit 3 times each and for the other one of my vechiles it was 1 time so why are all the units faulty ? Each technician blames the last one that was there and says the unit has a fault. As a customer that has 4 vechiles contracted to car track i feel as if cartrack does not care for their clients because as a client my payments are never late but I can never get a response or a proper service done!

Customer services is atrocious! They allocate an account manager to your business - but they changes frequently, they will not call you to discuss issues, if you call the call-centre they will not put you through to your account manager as they do not have a direct line? What utter non-sense, it is frustrating and a waste of money. Their turn around times are never met, they tie you into a 36 month contract BUT the tracker units are only covered for 12 months and they need repairing after 12 months which is at your cost, clearly shabby equipment is installed! Money-making is their only concern, customer service is not their priority! We have had non-stop issues from 2023

Terrible service, would never recommend this company. I needed to have a tracking device installed in my new vehicle, a fitment was scheduled however the technician never pitched. Was being sent from pillar to post with different stories & how the system did not allocate the technician. After numerous calls and 2 weeks later, no technician was dispatched. I have never experienced such a terrible service before. Extremely unprofessional.

Awful service, would never recommend this company
we notified them we were selling a vehicle and needed the device to be removed and reinstalled in the new vehicle. This was last year November. they never came out to do this, however charged us the R850 reinstallation fee twice and kept debiting our account. we phoned constantly and kept getting told its being escalated. Its 4 months later and still nothing. i have never experienced such service before. Extremely unprofessional.

Terrible service! Submitted all required forms over a month ago for a change of ownership and banking details updateâyet nothing was processed. Cartrack kept debiting the wrong account despite follow-ups. Called today, got transferred multiple times, only to be told the vehicles are still under the company. Completely incompetent and disorganized. Cancelling both subscriptions. Avoid this company!

Your sales team phoned me for over a year begging me to sign up, which I eventually did.
I have a 3 year contract with you, awesome!
I bought a new car and I phoned them last week Tuesday to do a deinstallation and to fit that unit into my new car, they said it would cost 870 to do which no problem you took the money off my account straight away! Over a week now and nothing has been done to get the work sorted out always excuses we phoned the dealership where my car is and they donât answer! Itâs over a week now!
I phoned again this morning and no concrete answers as to when this will be done!
My new car is now sitting without a tracker and my monthly debt order just came off! How awesome is that????
I want a unit fitted into my car and you will not charge me an extra 600 because you Cartrack cannot retrieve the other unit from my old car!
If this is not done I will start processings with the ombudsman and I will cancel my contract with you and I wonât pay the 3000 that you told me I need to pay if I cancel!
This is unnecessary b.s DO YOUR JOB, I am a paying customer even though Iâm not getting the service I paid for!!!! I want this escalated and sorted out this week! Iâm done playing little phone games with your call center!!!

I called to test the unit, they told me it's faulty, now I must pay call out fee and extra 600 rands for they say it's out of warranty. If I could I would give them no stars they donât even deserve one. The staff at the call centre are rude and frustrating to deal with. One hand doesnât know what the other is doing. It took a frustrating few days to get the system installed with numerous âdroppedâ calls from car track where you have to phone back and spend loads of time trying to find out who phoned you.
They go through the same long winded verification process and questionnaire process in every phone call, so if like myself you have to speak to them 20 times you have to do it 20 times because the staff have been trained like robots with no brains to trouble shoot or resolve any issues that were ONLY on car tracks side.
When you say youâre going to cancel your contract they say âfineâ
