If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered the MARLOWE | WOMEN'S COTTON EMBROIDERED 3/4 SLEEVE BLOUSE.
Nothing stated on the website is true.
The blouse is not cotton — it’s more of a polyester blend. I ordered it because it looked light and gauzy. It’s not.
The sleeves are definitely NOT 3/4 length. You’ll be lucky if they reach your elbow.
It took a month to receive my blouse. It had to be shipped from China. The company definitely is NOT a North Carolina company.
Customer Service is abysmal. No full refund will be given if:
“To clarify, according to our store policy, the following situations are considered change-of-mind returns:
The product does not fit
The wrong product was purchased
The customer no longer wishes to keep the item,”
Most returns are requested because the product fits or because the customer no longer wishes to keep the item because it did not meet her expectations.
And you need to be aware that, “In these cases, customers are responsible for return shipping costs, and shipping fees are non-refundable.”
Should you request a return, you may be offered a sight discount, and a partial store credit. Since you will never want to have anything to do with this company again, both concessions are worthless.
It will take you quite a few emails to request the return because the company will keep amending the offer. And they will promise you that should you persevere through the process, your return (minus shipping costs and stress) will take quite a bit of time because: “Please note that, we operate internationally and ship directly from our global warehouses. This means the return process may take longer and require some extra effort on your part, which we would like to help you avoid if possible.”
How I wish I had found trustpilot.com prior to ordering anything from CarolMargaretWilmington. Big lesson learned.

I got scammed
I got scammed! The return policy states you can return within 30 days if not completely satisfied. But I had to contact them to find out where to return. I was instructed I had to take many photos of the items first and they had to approve them to be returned. The items clearly show 100% polyester fabric and their description states 100% cotton! Still they told me I didn't qualify as they delivered the items and they were 'wearable'. But I could return them to China if I insisted at my expense. These dresses are so cheap in construction and fabric, I use to sew a lot and I know quality, I would never even want to wear such cheap crap. Trouble is my cc company will not take the transaction back as long as the vendor proves delivery. They must know that. I wish I read the reviews before ordering, It took 3 weeks to get the items and I contacted them the same day it was delivered. BEWARE

This is one of the biggest scam I’ve ever encountered. Their website popped up on my computer andI was sold not only on the pictures and descriptions of their clothing and shoes but their backstory. Two women opening a shop for mature women who are looking for high quality, fashionable clothing. I love linen and cotton clothing because as women’s bodies change finding materials that are
“forgiving” is a must. And let’s be honest-clothes displayed on-line are marketed for youths. Women or should I say girls whose bodies haven’t begun to reach their peak. Anyhow I ordered several hundred dollars worth of clothing and shoes on three separate occasions. After about two weeks of waiting for the first order it was finally delivered. Upon looking at the size of the package which contained three dresses and a blouse I instantly became suspicious. After opening the bag I was beyond livid! The clothing was nothing like they advertised. They were shipped from China and instead of being linen material they were cheap polyester. After contacting the company they requested that take pictures of each item. After sending the photos I received a reply saying that the pictures couldn’t be downloaded which was a bs. I requested a return label and was sent an address of where to ship the items-BACK TO CHINA! Having taken the items to the post office I had to declare customs which cost thirty three dollars. Can anyone imagine how angry I was. I felt totally blindsided by this company and not to mention being ripped off. After receiving the other two deliveries I refused to open the packages and returned it to sender. They advertised that the company is in Wilmington, NC, the shipping company was out of CA. but I had to return the items to China. I pride myself on supporting small businesses especially those owned by women. After receiving these cheaply made clothing I felt robbed and scammed. BTW I have yet to receive my refund. This company will be reported to the AG, BBB, and the FTC. They won’t get away with this deception.

Beware- poor quality clothing and ridiculous return policy
The clothing is nothing as indicated. It is made of cheap polyester or some other crappy material. Though I ordered size small- the clothes are gigantic on me, looking like big sacks. The worst part is that their return policy is misleading and in my opinion unethical. We must ship the items to China to return them at about $35 for 1.5 lbs. of clothes. I bought them from this company specifically because they advertise as a Wilmington NC company. I live in NC, so this seemed a great way to support a local entity.
I wish I had read some of the reviews prior to my purchase.
Do not buy from the company if you are wanting to support a local enterprise and want quality clothing- they do not have it!

I SENT OVER 10 EMAILS TRYING TO GET A REFUND TO NO AVAIL. I AM THROWING THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE IN THE GARBAGE, IT IS NOT FOR TO EVEN GIVE AWAY.
THEY HAVE A FALSE WEBSITE THAT LINKS TO CHINA AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER IN THE USA. SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF DRAMA AND DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM CAROL AND MARGARET WILMINGTON!
