My experience with Cargem customer…
My experience with Cargem customer service aftersale site was good. Although my appointment was 12noon and didn't leave there just after 3.30. But was worth the wait and patient. I was looked by Mr Hussain Haque who was welcoming and friendly. Keep me up to date on what was happening and what was the problem. Bending their heads to solve & figured out the problem till the team cracked it. They explained what the problem & even showed me a video clip on what happened to the valve sensor on my alloy wheel that cusing the problem. I would like to thank Mr Hussain Haque & Cargem Customer aftersale team for a great service and great advice.

Appalling after sales service
Purchased the car 31st March. Salesman was desperate to hit month end targets so suggested it was delivered same day. Arrived on a truck but had a chipped windscreen. Notified Danny via whatsapp but received no answer to any of my messages.
Contacted customer services whos solution was for me to do a 100 mile round trip to their windscreen repair shop!
The rep was unable to comprehend why I thought this was unsatisfactory and didnt seem to understand there were mobile repairers who could do this at my home or at least more locally, even asking me why I thought it was ok for him to spend time coming to me to fix it!!!
Beware attitude seems to be we will offer you a resolution that is so unreasonable we know you wont take it up but at least we can tick the box saying we have offered it.
Just hoping nothing else goes wrong as aftersales support couldnt be any worse.
Update - Via trust pilot they contacted me asking to call them to resolve this. After numerous attempts they answered the phone only to tell me 'well that is our answer, maybe someone from management might have looked at this and will make an exception I'll get them to call you'
Waited three days and still nothing.
Just confirms my initial findings that they talk a good game but their responses and resolutions are worthless.
I'd say avoid at all costs.

Refuse to refund deposit on already sold car.
Found a car on auto trader that CarGem were selling. Wanted to move forward woth purchase but was a long way to go so reserved the car through CarGem's website for £99. Received an email saying my reservation was confirmed and to ring up to arrange collection. When I rang up I was told that the car in question had been reserved by someone else 4 days earlier. The salesman then immediately tried to start selling me other cars. When I made it clear to him that I wasn't interested in other cars (on the 4th time of trying) I stated that I expected the deposit to be refunded as they allowed me to put it down on a car that was already reserved. I was told he would take care of it. Nothing happened. I have since sent two emails to customer services to have no response. I am now at the stage of raising a complaint through my credit card company to try recoup my money that way. A company with terrible customer service, a website which is obviously not for for purpose, and a call handler than outright lies to your face. I would recommend avoiding if at all possible.
EDIT FOLLOWING RESPONSE:
Once again that is an outright lie. Your sales assistant made absolutely no mention of a £500 full holding deposit and simply said the car was already reserved. I appreciate you processing my refund but it should not have taken a review on TrustPilot for you to actually act to correct what was a system error on your part. I await the arrival of the refund, if it does arrive I shall amend my review to reflect this.
Update: Refund has been received, amended to 3 stars to reflect this.

Diren was excellent to work with. Clear, keen and professional. We agreed a timeline on when I would confirm if I was going to purchase the car after paying a holding fee but on Diren’s day off, I received a phone call from Ryan who seemed rather pushy and demanding. Something that made me very close to walking away. This would have been a 5* review if this interaction with Ryan wasn’t presented.
I have no issues with the car at all mechanically. Runs and drives well.

I was impressed with our first contact with Cargem
Shortly after leaving a message on the website on Monday evening regarding an interest in a car on their website I was called back by Jahid at Cargem, Rainham,
Jahid took me through the options and suggested a payment to secure the car we were interested in until we could view it, this would be at fully refundable whatever our choice.
It turned out to be a good option as just after we had viewed the car and agreed to buy the next morning Jahid received a call at his desk from someone asking for a viewing.
Throughout Jahid was very personable, he provided and explained information concerning the great options that Cargem have for extended warranty, interior and exterior car protection and was continually helpful making the whole process as smooth as possible for my wife and I despite the car on sale only being with them a very short time Jahid allowed us to go home the same day with a lovely replacement car, being MOT’ed & Serviced only 3 days after my wife’s car, her pride and joy, was written off by someone’s careless driving.
As they say Happy Wife Happy Life. Thank you Cargem. Thank you Jahid.

Sales team were very keen and wanted me to write a review for them straight after buying the car on Google, then it went downhill. The salesman started ignoring my messages after I found many issues in the car the very next day.
The salesman also told me that the car had full service history but upon receiving the documents, it indeed did not.
The after sales team is even worse, as others have mentioned they have no respect for customers, as seen by my interaction.
Now I’m stuck with a broken car having to spend my time dealing with the finance company. Genuinely horrific experience like many others here.
I expect Cargem will reply with the same generic rubbish to contact the after sales team that they keep responding with, had the after sales team been helpful in the first place everything should’ve been dealt with before writing this.

Disappointing service and poor handling of a valid issue
I bought a Mercedes from CarGem 11 days ago and raised serious issues within few days after purchase - and got nowhere.
The car has a constant rattling noise and clear paint issues. Before buying, I pointed out a darker area on the front that I had seen in the online advert. I was told it was “just a shadow” and that the car had been fully checked, prepared for sale, and had no paint or accident issues.
That simply wasn’t true.
Once I raised my right to reject within the short period, it was refused. CarGem said they would fix the rattling, but made no acknowledgment of the paint issues and kept questioning them, saying they needed to “investigate” and asking if I had a recording with the salesperson — implying that without it, there was no evidence.
Yesterday we spoke with the aftersales team, I was made to feel like I was simply “Unlucky” compared to other customers and assured that they’ve dealt with many legal cases before and that I wouldn’t succeed. That’s not how you treat someone raising legitimate faults.
After a few emails, they told me to seek legal representation, so I’m not planning to stop — I have every legal right to pursue this and try to be ''Lucky'' this time.
Overall — it feels like once they have your money, that’s it. Issues are ignored there is no proper support, just pushback. If you’re thinking of buying from them — be careful. Don’t rely on what you’re told and get everything in writing or better recorded as advices by Aftersales.
