We have had an air source heat pump installed by Caplor Energy. The installation has gone smoothly, with no worries for us. The team carried out the work efficiently. All the installers were delightful and easy to have around. In some ways we are sorry to see them go, we shall miss seeing them (in the nicest way).

Caplor worked hard to meet my requirements and I'm very pleased with the installed PV system.

Having received favourable comments from my brother, I approached Caplor for a ASHP survey, recommendations and a quotation.
My request was dealt with promptly and a thorough investigation carried out with a detailed explanation of what was involved. I accepted the quotation and agreed a date in July for the work to be started.

It began as arranged, with two plumbers and an electrician. The work started by removing all my old radiators, gas boilers and water storage tank. The ASHP was installed on a pre-repaired concrete slab. A new storage system was installed. The required plumbing connections were made with a high standard of insulation. The complex electrical wiring was carried out neatly and included a new distribution board and systems controller.

There was a thorough cleanup after the installation including dusting and vacuuming.

The system is now working well and I would not hesitate to give Caplor a very favourable recommendation

I have to try and be fair because the work was done during the pandemic but I was not impressed : no prpere handover of the system so I sttill working out how to use and they didnt sen my intallation pack for 2 months. Mostly subcontractord of course but that seems to be the same everywhere now.

I wish to install an air source heat pump. Being a 4 storey Vicorian House with 2 existing gas boilers it is not entirely straight forward and I contacted Caplor because they were recommended by Good Energy (my energy supplier).
The initial response was an estimate that was an inappropriate for the information I had suppled. This was followed up by a better response but I have not heard back from the surveyor providing the EPC.
What is really missing is the design and specification process. What seemed to be on offer was a survey followed by installation of who knows what.

Caplor installed my PV system 11 years ago and since then it has over performed against the predicted output ever since. This I attribute to the quality of the materials used.
I went with Caplor because they were local and offered good value for money.

We had our PV panels installed by Caplar five years ago and have been completely satisfied not only with the installation process but also with the panels’ performance - exactly as expected.

Install completed in March 2022. Caplor advised but then listened to our requirements, rather than telling us what we ought to have, allowing us to have a two-string panel set up facing both South and West providing me with 5 kw. Also installed a GivEnergy battery. Very happy with their staff and the installation process. Good performance from solar panels and battery combo so far.

There was not coordination from placing the order to getting the work done. The technical representative agreed one system with me and the roof it was to go on, only to have the scaffolders turn up to erect the scaffolding on a different roof. Lots of subies being used who did not know the system.
The scaffolding took months to be dropped and remove.
The electricians did not have equipment to get the battery pack into the loft. The set on the phone for hours to get through to GivEnergy to sort out simple problems.
Glad that it all appears complete.

Caplor did a great job fitting and explaining the solar system i ordered , which is now saving us a fortune in utility bills, the I-Boost system is also working well, our gas boiler is completely turned off now, not needed , Thankyou,

Bit slow to get Caplor into action on a Solar PV maintenance issue, but response suddenly got a lot better and the teams to put up scaffolding and then remove some panels, install new hardware and get it all back up & running went very well. I think the maintenance team (they are lovely people) is overloaded.

I have been trying to get my solar thermal system sorted out by Caplor for 9 months now. Despite several visits by engineers it is still not working. The last visit was on May 10th and despite chasing I am still waiting for a report. All communication seems to have ceased.

Had to put one star as would not let me write a review otherwise. Worth zero stars.
Total failure of service by your company after initial visit about 6 months ago. Chasing had no effect whatsoever. You have left me without generation from solar panels losing me many hundreds of pounds. Why did you bother to inspect if you did not intend to follow up by carrying out the simple repair required.
All that is needed is replacement of two connectors where the old ones burnt out.
Caplor's response does not help. This is not the way to treat a customer, why waste time visiting and inspecting the installation, promise a further visit, then fail to answer all calls and emails. Caplor deserve bad publicity.

We had solar panels fitted by Caplor around 10 years ago. The fitters were great, we have not experienced any problems with them so far...

I had an excellent and motivating chat with someone at your office some time ago.
Since then we have been hoping to move to the next stage of a quote for acquiring solar panels etc.

We have solar panels for generating electricity and water heating on our roof and we had a central heating problem which British Gas Services couldn't resolve because it would involve interfering with the solar water heating system. We contacted Captor (who had taken over our original installer) and they arranged for an engineer to come and resolve the problem. They were efficient and helpful when we contacted them and the engineer carried out the work efficiently.
