Refund Refused For Defective Battery
One star is too high.
I purchased a battery from CanadaLaptopBattery.com last month and unfortunately it was a few millimeters too short. The battery has 6 tabs attached to it, so that I can screw it into my laptop but I was unable to do so since the battery was too short.
I contacted the company and send the numerous photos of the new battery they sent to me, my old battery and my laptop. I provided them with lots of information including the length and width of both batteries and the location of the tabs. I followed their installation instructions each time. We exchanged emails every day for over a week. If you read their return policy, you will see that they warn you that they will refuse to issue you a refund unless you provide them with all information, photos and videos that they request and then they deliberately ask you for ~100+ pieces of information, specific photos and specific videos over the course of weeks so that they don't have to refund your money.
Sound crazy ??? Don't believe me ??? Well, you will if you have to return a defective battery to them. LOL
In the end, they believe they sent me the correct battery but were surprised it didn't fit and would not give me a prepaid return shipping label or issue me a refund.

Dell XPS 13 9300
The website was easy to use and had all the information I needed. The 1 year warranty and 30 day return policy made me comfortable with the purchase.
The battery arrived in a few days and it came with tools and picks which were helpful. It also comes with a guide book for batteries in general. I’ve only been using the battery for a day so I cannot comment on its longevity. However, my Dell reported it as “excellent” health and it can hold a charge.
It is also great to support a Canadian business.

Battery life before degradation too short
No complaints about the seller, purchase, or shipping. The battery was the proper size etc. So it plugged right in nice and easy. Worked great to begin with but less than a year in it's going dead before the vacuum can get back to the base station after less than a year. Original battery was over 3 years old before it started doing that. Unfortunately my Shark does not have the ability to set the threshold voltage or percent to tell the vacuum to return to base. It goes from 20% to dead in seconds.
I contacted them and they were willing to give a significant rebate on a second battery. Hopefully that first battery was an outlier. I won't know for another year.

Expect Hours of Work for a Refund/Replacement
They sent me a defective battery. I've had to dedicate about three hours of my time to receive a refund. Not worth the trouble.
Reply to Canadalaptopbattery: Your return/warranty policy is a 50% refund. That is not acceptable for a product that does not work.

I bought a 10.8V 8800 mAh HP Pavilion DV6-1253CA replacement battery for my laptop. It came with a 1-year warranty from the manufacturer, AolsteCell, so I thought that, as with previous batteries bought for other laptops, this battery should last 3 years as I primarily use my AC power cord when using my device. I would only need to charge the battery maybe once every 3 - 4 weeks. Same routine as with previous batteries. Much to my surprise however, the battery started to noticeably fail to hold a charge at about month 8 and by month 10 or 11, I couldn't get more than about 1/2 hour run time on a full charge. In total, I probably charged the battery maybe a dozen times max before it wouldn't hold any charge. A big waste of money. Would not buy this brand/product again.

While many users expect their batteries to last for years, actual lifespan varies depending on usage and environmental conditions.
Therefore, if you can provide relevant information regarding a significant decrease in runtime within one year, we would be happy to review your application.
Although the original warranty has expired, as a gesture of goodwill, we will offer a discount to returning customers if you decide to purchase again.

Good battery, delivered quickly.
Having never purchased a battery from this source before, the price and reviews were a big part of my decision. Happily, this replacement battery for my Dell XPS13 (9350) exceeded my expectation. It arrived quickly and well packaged. It contained the necessary tools to complete the installation. It was a perfect fit and had ample charge for initial testing. After the 15 minute simple installation, and a 1.5hr top up for full charge, the laptop is now restored to like-new condition. I'll buy from here again.

Battery range is poor
The battery was a knockoff, which was ok but it does not get close to the original battery range. It drains quickly roughly 2 hours when the original was 10-12 hours.
Not satisfied - will not buy from canadalaptopbattery.

4,5 stars; a caveat for the quality of the battery
I made a brief search online, among the three AFFORDABLE batteries I found for my laptop, here was (I think) the best price. (Also, another site was dubious, only going through price & shipping estimates resulted in a "bill" I "had to pay" and several e-mails.)
The transaction went smoothly, the shipping too (especially that I had it delivered to a secure mailbox).
The battery isn't top quality, but... as I said, it was the cheapest. It's about half the weight of the old one, it drains fast, but I don't have all those messages that I must change the battery.
Also: it must be calibrated !
(Doing the calibration I discovered how fast it drains... reason for which I'm not sure the calibration was done properly. The analysis shows it was, but... as I said, it drains fast).

We recommend completing 2–3 full calibration cycles (charge to 100%, then discharge to around 5–10%, and recharge fully without interruption). This helps the system learn the correct capacity and can noticeably improve performance readings.
About the weight difference: replacement batteries can sometimes be lighter due to different internal cell layouts or casing design, but this does not necessarily indicate a defect. That said, if you continue to experience unusually fast drain after several calibration cycles, please contact us — we’ll be happy to check your case and provide a suitable solution.

I installed a 42 Wh replacement battery in my ASUS K571GT laptop. Without the power cable, it lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes, which is less than the original battery’s performance.
