apparently a ''computer glitch'' gave me a quote on their website for my car that was 5000.00 higher than what it was supposed to be. they also sent an email stating they were ready to purchase it at the aforementioned price but then changed it because of the ''software error''. in this case, seller beware.

Avoid this happening to you
After they purchase your car you will have to fight with them to make sure they payout the lein. I have no heard back from them in 3 weeks since the sale and have had to make 2 additional payments because how long it has taken them to make the payment to the finance company.

Easy, Efficient and Fair Pricing
I sold my late model Honda to them while simultaneously listing it on Kijiji, and did Canada Drives pull through ... with flying colours! I had a lot of offers, but Canada Drives made it quite easy to select them. I didn't have to deal with low ballers or tire kickers wasting my time. However, deducting $250 per scratch (surface scratch) seems excessive. I understand the fee for rim rash if they have to send them out, but minor body scratches that are not deep could easily be $100 ($50 for paint touch up and $50 for labour buffing out a 1-2 inch scratch). In the end I was happy that I was able to negotiate the deductions, and still come out ahead of any offer I received on Kijiji. Thank you Canada Drives! Oh, and Shuaib who picked up my car needs to be in sales or customer service -- he's frickin' awesome!

Great business
Very reassuring and answered all the questions I had. Extremely flexible on vehicle pick-up date and time. You’re not going to get the highest price for your vehicle but you need to realize that they’ll give you fair market value and zero hassle. Would definitely use again.

Fraud company
They don't post real photos on the site. Only after we paid for the car and paid for the insurance did we get a notification in the mail that they "accidentally" discovered two large dents on the car. And it happened the night before the delivery day.
During a phone call, the manager assured us that they did not see anything wrong with this and tried to sell us the car in a bad way - they just made a car delivery even though we don't want to buy it with dents.
I think that they either hit the car during loading or deliberately hid the dents. The company did not offer any options and the impressions from communicating with them were not the best (except for the delivery guy - he was great).
In any case, do not contact these scammers, it is not worth the time and money spent.

Sold my car and it was SO easy
I sold my car to Canada Drives before I moved out of the country. Honestly, it couldn't have been better. I got a reasonable quote for it online and then got on a phone call where I gave more information. My offer was amended slightly due to the car needing two new tires, which I expected and was a fair amendment. I submitted some photos and received all my documents by email. Someone called to schedule my drop-off, I showed up, went over the paperwork, and left. I received my money the same day and, since the car was financed, the balance of the loan showed as paid in full with my lender within about a week.
Canada Drives saved me the hassle of getting a vehicle inspection, detailing the car, and handling paperwork for a private sale—and they offered me several thousand dollars more than traditional dealerships! Highly recommend.

Terrible Customer Service!!!
Update: Thanks for the response but the fact that you totally missed the mark regarding my complaints just shows how this company really operates. You focused on addressing the mechanical issues that were resolved rather than the issues I actually raised. And if you really want me to talk about that HEADACHE of a process having to go to a not so “local” mechanic MULTIPLE times prior to being sent to the dealership etc. I’d be glad to make another review. Not to mention coverage wasn’t just “offered” as you say, I was told this issue would’ve had to go though my extended warranty policy (which made no sense) and I contested. This company worries more about their image than their customers and tries to make it look like working with them is so easy. If my experience was so peachy then my review would be different. Just stay away and save the stress.
Initially my experience with this company was positive. Easy online shopping, quick process etc. But my issues began only a couple days after receiving the vehicle. Word of Advice: if there is ANYTHING at all wrong with the vehicle prior to 7 days RETURN IT! They will do and say whatever to get you to keep the car past the initial 7 days so that they are no longer able to take the vehicle back and you have to now deal with any issues.
Secondly, I don’t know who the hires and trains their customer service employees but lying and tricking customers is what I’ve had to deal with and when you try to address the unethical behaviour of their staff the management will simply bypass your concerns and redirect the conversation to say “well the important thing is the issue gets resolved”. Meanwhile the downfall of this company is their unethical customer service staff who DO NOT know how to handle customer situations appropriately.
Also BEWARE of sharing your actual truthful experience with this company if it’s not positive or else you’re met with multiple requests to remove it along with vague threats for them to not fulfill part of an agreement in exchange for its removal. The manager did apologize but I highly doubt there was any repercussions for that staff member.
Long review but people need to know these things before working with any company.
Did I get a car I liked.. yes I did.
Was it as smooth a process as they promote… no not really.
What could have made my situation better… EXCELLENT customer service!
Moral of the story for consumers. It COULD be a good experience based on who you deal with but BE CAUTIOUS and if anything seems off just don’t do it. Get EVERYTHING in writing! Even after phone calls when they say whatever they want then blame you for any misunderstanding.
Lesson I hope this company learns. Great customer service goes a loooong way. Lying and trying to trick people on the phone (so theirs no paper trail) is shady business and makes the whole company look shady. Always blaming the customer for “misunderstanding” is a low excuse for poor service. Y’all need to do better.
Would I use this service again… Negative.
Would I recommend this company based off my experience….. Nah.

We looked into your concerns with our customer relations team and reviewed the communication we have on file. You recently spoke with our customer relations manager in regard to the repairs of your vehicle and warranty coverage under our Canada Drives Limited warranty policy.
When you initially contacted us at the beginning of November, you spoke with one of our customer relations representatives in regard to a vehicle concern with the emission system on your vehicle. You expressed concerns about the 7-day return policy coming to an end, and our agent assured you that we were committed to assisting you with your concerns and that we would work with you to get your concerns addressed. Our agent let you know that all of our vehicles come with a 30-day Canada Drives warranty policy and we would cover the cost of the diagnostic appointment for your vehicle at one of our partnered shops near you. After the initial diagnosis was completed, unfortunately, your vehicle had to be brought to Clarington Honda for further diagnostic testing to remedy the concern. After the additional diagnostic tests, Clarington Honda was able to diagnose the component causing the emission leak which fortunately was very minor. Coverage was offered by our customer relations team under Canada Drive's 30-day limited warranty policy and all costs for diagnostic testing, parts, labor, and repairs were paid for by Canada Drives. The repair work has been completed on your vehicle and you have since picked up the vehicle from Honda Clarington with no further mechanical concerns.
We appreciate all customer feedback, and your concerns and response have been brought to our management team. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me directly.

Terrible experience with Canada Drives
Terrible experience car shopping with my son. We went to multiple dealerships but took the offer from Canada Drives. They then lowered their offer a week later which we still accepted via docusign. When we went to pick up the car they lowered the offer again. Don't believe the offer first made to you and be prepared it is very likely they will lower it on inspection for minor reasons.

When you arrived at our location to complete the trade-in of the vehicle, our team reviewed the trade-in vehicle and found additional undisclosed damage that was not previously reported in our initial review. These damages included: curb rash on the rims, a broken plastic skirt, and a scrap on the front bumper. Unfortunately, after careful review from our reconditioning team, a new offer was given based on the repair work required for the unit. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Unethical, dishonest ,lying, cheating Company
This company cheated me out of my time, energy and faith in human decency.
Thank God I was able to walk away from them before I got stuck with one of their vehicles.
They suck you in with friendly phone and email communications. After choosing a car and filling out a form describing your trade-in both parties sign a bill of sale. Then they take your deposit and a fee for registering the prospective new vehicle for you and ask you to show proof of insurance for it. All this is done before they have appraised the trade-in based on the pics they ask you to send. Then they break the bill of sale after seing the pics and offer almost half of what they initially promised. Then they get you to sign a new bill of sale reflecting the lower trade-in offer. Now they give me a pick up date and I travel 12 hours round trip to pick up the new vehicle and trade in my old . Once they have you there they use every trick in the book to decrease the value of the trade in that both parties agreed upon.
I signed two bills of sale for the vehicle and Canada Drives broke both agreements.
You may think they will deal with you fairly but they won't.
You are better off going to a regular car dealership where they can see your trade-in and deal with you in a more honest way.
In my opinion the owner and managers of this company belong in prison for their fraudulent business methods.
