Camino Ways was easy to work with. Our hotel rooms were great, the luggage transfers all arrived without incident, and they were great about answering questions quickly while we were walking the Camino. I highly recommend using Camino Ways!

We walked from Sarria to Santiago over 9days. Most Superior-class hotels arranged are off the walking route and require transportation. Caminoways provides the exact hotels only one month in advance, leaving insufficient time to make alternative arrangements. There is no definition of superior. Most farmhouses have their own character but may not have modern facilities. Some provide excellent meals. Instead of changing hotels daily, one could consider staying in 3-4 major towns with better hotel facilities, since transportation is needed anyway. Staying in larger towns allows one to attend the evening masses at the local church, stock up, and have time for laundry. Suggest confirming the hotel once after paying the deposit, while there is still time to make alternative arrangements.

When planning was Easy to deal with had quick good response to queries. Portal was useful in planning and during the walk. We opted for cottages which were all good. But do check location of your stays as may add a small time to your walk at the end of the day. If we walk again will use Camino ways

Team was very responsive every step of the way. All of our plans worked smoothly, including luggage transport, transfers and accommodations.
Marie listened and did a great job putting together our unique itinerary based upon our preference for more time walking on the Portuguese coast. We elected standard rooms and enjoyed most of our accommodations. We had a couple of last minute changes for two of our transfers and Maria and Anna handled for us.

Some of the a accommodations and meals were exceptionally were fantastic providing a unique authentic experience , especially in Hotel Rural HOSPITAL DE ÓRBIGO and RABANAL DEL CAMINO
O the downside, you indicated that the walk from Mazariffe to Hospital de Obrigo was just a few kilometers so three of our party decided to walk it and two taxied. However the walk was s further 18 and we were not prepared for the long boring walk , i was concerned for the health of one of the party as he was over tired
I wonder what value we get from booking with Caminoways , rather than individually , the guidebook document was very sparse on information .
Also co-ordinated airport to startpoint transport could be beneficial to reduce the cost

The misleading and inaccurate information was astounding once we arrived in Portugal. Camino Ways was difficult and in some cases, impossible to reach. They did return our call, AFTER TWO DAYS. I would never recommend or use them again.

Walking the Camino Coastal Trail for seven days was such a memorable experience, and a big part of what made it so special was our guide, Maria.

Maria was attentive, calm, knowledgeable, helpful, and incredibly patient. We were a group of seven strong-willed women with plenty of personalities and opinions, and she somehow managed all of us with grace, patience, and a good sense of humor!

She was very knowledgeable about the Camino and the places we visited. I especially appreciated that when we asked her something about the history or an area and she didn’t know the full answer, she never just guessed. She would look into it and always come back to us with the answer. Her recommendations throughout the trip were also excellent.

Maria really showed how much she cared when a couple of women in our group became ill with food poisoning. She handled everything calmly and made sure they were taken care of while still looking after the rest of us. She also went out of her way to help us check into our hotels when we arrived earlier than expected so we could get settled and rest after a long day of walking.

What touched us even more was that Maria herself wasn’t feeling well during our Camino, but she never made it about herself. She continued to put our needs first and made sure we were okay. That said a lot about her dedication and the kind of person she is.

Our accommodations were great throughout the trip. The food was okay for the most part, although some of the hotel breakfasts could have been better. Our only real suggestion would be regarding dinner portions—they were often far more than we could possibly eat, and we felt bad seeing so much food go to waste. Smaller portions would have been more than enough and would still have left everyone satisfied.

Overall, this was a wonderful experience filled with beautiful scenery, lots of walking, laughter, challenges, and great memories. Having Maria with us made a huge difference. She didn’t simply guide us along the Camino—she genuinely looked after us, and we are very grateful to her for helping make our seven-day journey one we will always remember.

Camino Ways were proactive from the day we first enquired. Helped with bookings either end of the Pilgrimage.
Everything they offered went like clockwork. Hotels taxis and instructions were perfect. 100% reliable and as promised.
Some of the places we stayed were incredible and deserve thier own review.

What a wonderful journey we had. Camino Ways did a 5 star job of organizing, communicating and ensuring our journey was flawless. Looking forward to booking another leg of the trail.

Going thru the villages on the walk was awesome and the hotels that were booked for us were very nice!

Our group was so impressed by all of the reliable organization of great suggested hotel selections, the daily luggage transfers, and the selection of our Camino guide that the CaminoWays Team had worked with us in putting together for the stages we selected for our 7 day, 128 km Camino from Baiona to Santiago. We loved that if you followed the process each morning, that when we arrived at our next destination, everything was waiting for us. The daily half board for breakfast and dinner was brilliant as it made it so easy for departure and arrival each day, given that we were a group of 7 of us, which helped avoid having to select a different place each evening for dinner after a long day of walking. We absolutely LOVED our guide Maria from Doiro Guides. She shared historical info at the start of every morning, tips on keeping our feet in good shape, and stayed back with the two of the seven friends in our group, who were walking at their own pace. When these two folks got food poisoning she was right there getting them to a clinic and then getting transportation to the next city and hotel and offering info on the pharmacies in each town for folks that might need more moleskin for their feet, etc. Maria would also provide recommendations for lunches at our halfway point on the trail each day. I cant say enough about this amazing human being!! Thank you so much Maria, you truly made our trip so incredibly memorable!! I would highly recommend CaminoWays and their team to friends and family and would use them again for another Camino in the future!!
And big thank you to the team for all of the back and forth details you helped us with over the last year to pull our Camino together for everyone. Truly Amazing service and knowledge sharing over the last year in preparation for our Camino as well!!

Reliable luggage moves and great hotels.

Only improvement would be earlier breakfast times as it was very hot and we wanted to start walking early.
