BWS are using deceptive and dishonest marketing through their APP specials.
Prices revert to full retail at the point of purchase and unless you check your receipt or bank statement you have been conned!
When confronted about this they state that prices are 'store specific' and guess what , the advertised special price is never available in your local store. I don't know ow how they are allowed to continue practising these scams and ripping off the public. I will never step foot in one of their stores again!

I gave my name and he retrieved order and demanded to see photo ID... I know it's Monday morning and a job you do not want to do but taking it out on customers is not the way forward Will not be going there again

Got a docket offering a 6 pack for $17 dollars. The girl at the counter told me that it was a typo and that I couldn’t have it because of that…
I reached out to BWS Customer Service team who told me that someone would reach out to me directly but they never did…
If they don’t care about their customers, you may as well got to Liquorland next door… That’s what I’ll be doing moving forward.

The staff, including the duty manager, where more interested in decorating for Halloween and spending time on their phones behind the counter than serving customers.
I politely asked about a product and was told to find it myself.
The duty manager was rude to customers and created an unsubstantiated scene in-store for no reason.

Rubbish. Bottle shop they have clearance on things and they never have the stock just to get you in most things are never as cheaper than dan merfeys!!!!

I would like to commend the Manager Mellissa for the incredibly high level of customer service and general friendliness she exudes at her shop. Mellissa is a true treasure and should be commended for the way she runs her shop! she is always cheery, helpful and knows all her stock. whilst there I saw take stock outside to an elderly delivery person to save them having to come in. I have also in the past seen her carry purchased stock to elderly people and load it into their cars. This was just a small example of her customer service. Mellissa alone has made this my go to shop considering there are 3 other brand shops within walking distance. I hope BWS gives her the recognition she deserves.

Went to the local BWS this afternoon only to be greeted by no customer service. A young guy & girl who were to much into there own conversation to even say hi the rudeness beyond belief but after their private conversation finished the guy greeted a male older customer obviously has a issue with women or maybe it’s because his private conversation had finished.Disgusting customer service. BWS really need to get better staff and train them properly. You are paying these people to do a job not stand there talking to each other!!

I paid $198 for 24 pack of Wild Turkey 101 cans. When I got home rang three other shops. 157 at largest. 40 dollars rip off. People shop elsewhere rip offs. Only reason I got wikd turkey because all other 24 packs were cold.
BWS Carnegie - smoke break ahead of customers service
BWS Carnegie, myself & 2 other customers had to wait outside a closed store ( even though the store hrs say it's open) while the store person had his smoke outside. Customers were told they have to wait till he is finished, then he proceeded to have attitude when I was eventually able to get in to collect order.

I went into BWS Banora yesterday with my Daughter in Law and Granddaughter who is 15. We were looking for white and red wines and asked the staff member (young male) several questions which he responded. We would know better than him and took out his phone to goggle if something was on special.we selected 2 bottles of wine that my daughter in law and I carried to the counter. At know time did my granddaughter touch or carry any alcohol and we had been in the store for 15 minutes. The staff member asked my granddaughter for ID and were told that he could not sell us the wine, which we said as we were her mother and grandmother and the wine was for us, but he said NO. The customer behind us had 2 children with him and he was laughing thinking it was a joke but NO. Don’t know if he got his purchase but we went to another bottle shop purchased our wine without my granddaughter but asked the question of them about the situation. They replied that as long as she didn’t touch or carry the alcohol it wasn’t a problem. I worked in a bottle shop for 5 years and never asked people to leave their children outside but did explain that the children could not handle the alcohol. This staff member lost a $40 sale and really could have asked us when we first entered the store about ID. We had a very bad experience with this store and staff member

Just tried to order 2 bottles if wine. Would only let me buy one when offer advises 2 for $22.00. Come on guys, get your app together. Now I have to ring to order in the morning. What is the point of having this app?

So awful for the second time in two months I tried to order off the app and they messed it up and I had to run around trying to either get what I ordered or get a refund and neither 1/ half and it’s an absolute joke

BWS advertised Oyster Bay sparkling 2 bottles $40 told by a friend on social media
Drove 20 min to Southpoint as it was a good buy they only had 1 bottle left and wanted $26 for it Staff were rude and said they’d only had 6 bottles in stock and someone bought 5
They said Dan Murphy’s were owned by same people so go there
I bought an alternative brand to stick to my $20 a bottle budget and time constraints
Told a friend and was directed to Dan Murphy’s where it was only $19 a bottle and no minimum The biggest difference was the staff were helpful and friendly
Will not be going to BWS again

Rude Management and service because they have a monopoly
My wife who is 38 yrs old walked into the store to purchase 4 bottles of beer for me. The store manager was not able to tell the difference between 18 and 38. She didn't have any ID so I went in and the manager would not sell me the alcohol even though I have been going to the store for 15 yrs. There are rules for a reason but also needs to be applied with a bit of common sense. Management should be hiring people who are nimble and able to think on their feet, don't hire imbeciles. Anyways I will never be using BWS / Dan Murphy or Woolworths for purchasing my alcohol as they are able to treat customers this way because they now have a monopoly in my region after sending the smaller bottleshops out of business.
People should support their local smaller bottleshops as the big retailers sell their alcohol below cost until the local smaller bottleshops go out of business. Then they have free rein to jack up prices and treat the customer any way they feel like. DOWN WITH THESE LARGE RETAILERS!
Home delivery meant to be 1 hour but…
Home delivery meant to be 1 hour but had to wait almost 2. No phone call, no apologies just had to wait. You'd think they'd be able to at least let you know it was going to be so long when you place the order so I could have sorted out my booze elsewhere.
