Bunk Campers - Dublin Omdömen 

À fuire !!! Ce sont des voleurs !!! Avec mon mari nous sommes partit quelques jours , malheureusement l'arrière du rétro légèrement abîmé il nous on pris 912 euros de cotion . Et refuse de nous montrer les factures du garage. Un retro coûte entre 250e et 500e maximum . Nous allons commencer des poursuites judiciaires. Ce sont des profiteurs et arnaqueurs. Ne vous faite pas avoir et surtout ne réservé pas avec eux

Bunk campers Irlanda son unos auténticos ladrones, te ofrecen un seguro carísimo que si no contratas te apuntan daños que no tiene el vehículo, han falsificado mi firma porq a la entrega del vehículo te dicen que el q lo inspecciona no está y luego falsifican tu firma, se niegan a darme la factura de los supuestos daños ya que yo tenía un seguro sobre la franquicia de 3000€ (que se han quedado) y no puedo reclamarlo a mi seguro. No puedes mediar con abogado porq tienen la sede fuera de la unión europea.Cuando vimos el correo con los daños falsos aún estábamos en Dublín y les llamamos a decir que íbamos a ver dichos daños en el vehículo y cuando llegamos se negaron a enseñarnoslos y como yo tenía un video q habia hecho a la entrega el estafador del dueño me escribió un correo diciendo que me iba a descontar ciertos daños falsos que pude demostrar y lo que hizo el h d o es cobrarme lis 3000€ de frsnquicia. No contratéis con ellos, ha sido la peor experiencia de mi vida y me ha costado una pasta. Es una estafa en toda regla y lo hacen frecuente.

DO NOT BOOK with this company. There is no 24/7 service and they will make no effort to resolve an issue that comes up and also take whatever extra from the deposit they possibly can. They really are fraudulent as the other reviews said, and I wish I had read these reviews before booking. We paid quite a lot for this motorhome hire (Dublin office) on the impression they had 24/7 roadside service, as outlined all over their website and in booking materials. However, when we had an issue resulting in no heat, hot water, cooking, etc. for two nights with young children in cold Autumn weather - we could not reach anyone until the third day. Funnily enough, they mentioned wanting "good reviews" upon picking up the motorhome at which time the issue was apparent (the lock to the propane door not working properly, which the next day completely broke) yet Owen completely glossed over struggling with the lock and went forward in handing over the vehicle.When calling the 24/7 roadside service line - which is actually a call center, not a direct line to the company, the call center could not get in touch with anyone from the company until the third day. I even emailed eht company on the first night of the issues, but no response until the third day upon which the response was not roadside service - but instructions for us to break the lock to get into the propane area.

We received no response to several emails about this after our hire as we expect to be compensated for the nights we had no heat or cooking, and upon talking to Elizabeth Dickson from the corporate office, she gave me completely inaccurate information as to the communications around this issue that they had recorded, putting the added burdon of proof on us to "prove" we had called them. Clearly they are doing whatever they can to avoid making this right by us - but more dangerously, not showing the level of concern needed for others who may be in a serious situation with a vehicle and unable to access the roadside service. It was very difficult for us having two very cold nights and being unable to cook in the vehicle, but it also could have been worse and the company is showing no care or concern for the safety of their customers in their response. I will happily update this review if anything changes.

FYI - don't trust anything they tell you when picking up the vehicle. They also charged us over 400 euro for a small scrape to the top, left side - clearly caused by a branch - while upon picking up the vehicle it was clearly stated to us that such marks are inevitable on the Irish roads due to the narrowness of roads and trees having low branches and whatnot, and that this is not the type of thing that is charged for. Clearly, there was no accident or collision yet we were charged and also told that we returned it in very dirty condition, which it was not. We kept it as clean as possible, swept out and wiped down surfaces - however with constant rain and whatnot it is inevitable that living in a vehicle for two weeks will result in some dirt that will need to be cleaned before the next customer. That is standard service.

Where do I start? Vehicle kept on going into limp mode after reaching west coast of Eire, replacement motorhome did the same but not so bad but also had a low brake fluid light on. Fault codes indicated. No toilet sanitary pack included.
AA wanted to collect vehicle and leave us without accommodation. Employees promised refunds of a fair amount until we left the country and we then had to fight just to get monies back for our expenses e.g. Garage check and more. Appalling and inconsistent customer service. Eventually obtained €200 refund plus 10% discount off next hire which is absolutely pants and I only agreed because my partner did not want me to take time off attending the Irish courts. Please do NOT use this company, they lie just to get rid of you. Apparently the fault codes for the limp mode was because my shoes occasionally caught the brake when accelerating.
I was originally advised that because Bunk Campers were assessed by Bunk Campers that they were not at fault - no compensation would be paid. What a joke.
Never, ever had this issue with any cars or LGV'S previously driven from other suppliers. I have been driving safely for over 50 years.

Camping-car mal entretenu, douche qui fuit dans le salon et dans la réserve arrière, porte et fenêtres qui ne se bloquent plus, chaise pliante cassée...
Inadmissible pour le prix qui est très élevé !
On a rencontré d'autres personnes au retour qui ont eu le même type de problèmes (voire pire !).
J'ai longuement échangé avec eux par la suite par mail, ils promettent de proposer une solution puisque je leur demandé une indemnité financière mais je n'ai toujours rien vu venir.

The dodgiest outfit I've ever encountered. Paid top dollar, top premium for a 9 day hire - AFTER they swiped my card and got my money, we got the most beat-up vehicle (whole driver side stowed in, mirror hanging off) on the lot - can't reject it, read the T&Cs. Aside from the equipment faults, it didn't last 24 hours before it had to be towed back to Dublin. They took our money - $3kAUD no refund, won't answer emails.

Pour rester objectif, cette société cherche le profit et c'est tout.
Nous avons payé 650e d'assurance comprenant la carrosserie du véhicule plus 400 de caution. Suite à une rayure, ils m'ont dis que finalement l'assurance ne fonctionnait pas pour ce genre de dégât. Donc caution perdu.
Ensuite, les toilets ne fonctionnait plus au bout d'une semaine, donc nous avons passé la deuxième semaine à devoir utiliser celle de restaurant ou station service.
Le lavabo était bouché au bout de trois jours donc inutilisable. Nous avons acheté un déboucheur mais cela n'a pas fonctionné.
Idem pour une des deux évacuations de la douche, bouché...
Nous avions payé pour draps et serviettes, il faut avoué qu'il manque au moins un tapis de bain, des serviettes pour s'essuyer les mains, enfin un minimum.. Surtout que nos serviettes étaient ancienne, usées, décolorés..
Sur notre route, nous avons croisé un autre client qui lui avait une de ses batteries qui avait laché, donc plus d'accessoire dans son van.
Et pour finir, nous avions payé une option pour le chien. Nous avons récupéré le camping car avec le chien qu'ils ont bien vue, et une fois rentré en France, ils nous ont facturé "animal non déclaré".
Suite à tout cela, j'ai donc décidé de me rentre à la police pour déposer plainte, d'écrire à la direction, et j'irais au bout de ma démarche.
PS : lisez les articles de google avis, il y beaucoup de chose que je passe sur leurs méthodes et la propreté des véhicules....

They pressured us into taking a camper with a broken fuel gauge right as they were closing. Once we hit the road, the cabin filled with diesel fumes, making us sick. We called them and they told us it was our fault for over filling the fuel tank, to just keep driving, and the smell would go away. Turns out the fuel tank was leaking. Roadside assistance had to tow the camper due to how unsafe it was. After 2 days of trying to get an answer from the manager, they offered to give us another camper. With little time left on our vacation, we asked for a refund for the rest of the trip and to just pay for the days we used the camper. They refused and we are currently fighting them to get our money back. This company is untrustworthy. Avoid them at all costs.

We had a rental early June in Ireland. The camper was good. Except some minor things everything with the car went fine. Unfortunately, on third day on a narrow street car coming towards us hit us on the right side, damaging our mirror. As I had to drive very much to the left in this situation, at the very same moment also the left mirror was hit and damaged.
Yet, return was easy.
I have an extra CDW insurance that would cover for the damages, BUT:
* bunkcampers realised the full retention of €3.000 form credit card, even repair costs were only ~€2.500 . I have started a chargeback process with the credit card firm and looking forward the result.
* bunkcampers did provide repair invoice, but it just states "Repairs", is from another company (you cannot find any link to bunkcampers), and that's it. As you can imagine, my CDW insurance refuses this invoice. Now, I am waiting for the corrent invoice.
* bunkcampers did not provide rental agreement. Only document they provide is the reservation but this does not show the agreed retention. But my CDW insurance also wants to check the retention and agreements. So, I am also waiting for the rental contract from bunkcampers since mid of June.

Actually, I hope that the chargeback from the credit card company works so I have a lever to motivate bunkcampers into cooperation. Do not misunderstand me, I am happy to pay for the repairs to bunkcampers as agreed. But then bunkcampers shall be able to show valid invoice, charge for the repair costs only and not >€500 for something unexplainable, etc..

Bunk (Bunk: is slang for trash, junk, or lies. Often people say "de-bunk" something when they are revealing a myth or a lie) Campers is the worst rental company we have ever dealt with. If anything goes wrong with the vehicle, they will not help you. You are on your own to find a way to safety. The insurance is useless and they never emailed us the contact. If something happens you are out of luck and the contract is bunk.

This was the worst experience we have ever had. If the camper breaks down you are just out of luck. Our camper failed on a high pitch road and would not move further after only 300 kilometres. They towed us to a parking lot where we sat for three days and without utilities. We paid over a thousand for insurance and the line we had from the Dublin office was, “your vacation with us is ended” the moment it failed. A family of four trapped in a city without any service. We called ever line we could get and they all seemed to know nothing and provided no help. Everyone in the city said they hear these stories about them all the time. Do not under any circumstances use this company.

This trip began with a negative but overall ended with a positive. We requested a camper van, however, none were available and we had to settle for a bigger motorhome. To be fair, Mark, the Dublin manager, made some off-setting 'sweeteners' which were more than acceptable. The motorhome performed well throughout.
So, for Bunk Campers - Dublin, it's a pass.

Die Übernahme verlief schnell und problemlos. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das gilt insbesondere für den telefonischen Servicetechniker, der uns bei Problemen und Fragen geholfen hat.
Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es wegen fehlender Ausstattung bei den Küchenutensilien, ein fehlender Adapter für den Wasserschlauch und eines gebrochenen Scharniers der Toilettentür. Die fehlenden Artikel haben wir nachgekauft, die Kosten wurden anstandslos übernommen.

The rental process was smooth. The van had several flaws though. E.g. only one instead of two bedsheets were given, the gas bottle was not closed at pick-up (contrary to what is urged in the rental agreement), screws were loose at multiple places (fridge and foldable roof), the ignition of one of the gas stoves stopped working half-way into our trip, the window-blind system was missing suction cups and was torn, etc. When communicating those issues on day 2 to Bunk Campers, we simply did not get a reply. We didn't need to interrupt our trip, luckily.
I recommend doing a thorough check of the inside systems at vehicle pick-up. The staff of bunk campers does not show you the systems (e.g. roof-fold, gas stove, etc.) for liability reasons which means you should go through the videos at the garage and check for any defaults yourself.
The reduced fare for the camp-sites does not apply in Ireland and no alternative is offered.
All in all, we had a wonderful holiday but Bunk Campers could for sure improve on the vehicle quality,

Region enjoyed being able to see Ireland at our own pace and renting the RV was the easiest way to do it. Thanks for setting us up with a comfortable and reliable unit for our trip. Thanks again Denis and Blanche.

We enjoy RV holidays and the Dublin office staff were wonderful at delivery and hardback - esp helping coordinate our travel with another couple also hiring from there. Couple of minor vehicle issues but the feedback was (hopefully constructive) and taken well - all about helping others enjoy their RV experience by minor details being attended to.

We plan to hire from you again in Apr/May 2024 in UK, so there's our recommendation summed up!
