I contacted Budget Travel to cancel a holiday due to a family medical emergency. My mother-in-law was diagnosed with terminal cancer and my husband had to fly to Poland immediately to be with her. Hospice care was offered the same day we received the diagnosis.
The response from Budget Travel was cold, impersonal and completely lacking in any human decency. Not a single word of acknowledgement of the circumstances. No attempt to offer any goodwill gesture whatsoever. Simply redirected to the insurance company and that was that.
I understand policies exist for a reason. What I cannot accept is the complete absence of basic compassion when dealing with a customer going through one of the most difficult moments of their life.
I will never book with Budget Travel again and I would strongly advise others to consider how this company treats its customers when it matters most.

I booked and payed 50% off the values, I trying to pay the rest next day on the link I be sended...I don't works ! Then that time I email for and back and can't pay..I have no change to go to Dublin to pay the rest. I'm 67 of age and for me it's that a horror.

A few years ago, 6th of October 2023 we finally fulfilled our dream of traveling to Cuba after saving money for a long time. It was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Unfortunately, the holiday turned into one of our worst travel experiences, and the disappointment still remains.
Flights were fine, but the nightmare started when we arrived at the hotel arranged by Budget Travel. The hotel was in terrible condition — mold, humidity, broken facilities and almost no maintenance. Internet was only available in the lobby and only after extra payment, which was disappointing but not the biggest issue.
The swimming pool situation was chaotic — sometimes empty, sometimes working, and when full, people from outside the hotel were allowed to enter, making it overcrowded and dirty.
The worst experience was that there was no hot water in the entire hotel for three days. We couldn’t even shower. Staff kept saying the issue was temporary, but it became clear that hot water was rarely available. To make things worse, there were cockroaches in the bathrooms.
We spent two days calling Budget Travel asking for help. Instead of resolving the situation quickly, we were pressured to pay extra if we wanted to move hotels. Only when half of our holiday had already passed did they agree to move us without additional payment. By then, half of our long-awaited holiday was already ruined.
This trip meant a lot to us, and the lack of proper support left a very bitter memory. Even years later, this experience remains disappointing. I hope Budget Travel reviews situations like ours more seriously, because customers trust them with important life experiences.

We dealt with a lovely girl named Hanna to book out holiday to Tenerife. She was really helpful.

However....the transfer company Budget Travel use are a bloody joke.

A2B should be ashamed of themselves.

We were left stranded at the airport and had to get a bus and a taxi.

We reported this to Budget Travel and A2B won't give us a refund.

As we paid Budget Travel for a service, they should be responsible and sort it out.

Needless to say, we won't use them again.

I am new customer, first time used Budget Travel online. I am happy and will recommend for my Friends.
