Bought one to try before committing. My usual boule from the co-op fits but a longer batard I picked up last weekend was a tight squeeze and I had to fold the end over. Otherwise no complaints. Bread stayed soft into day four which is three days longer than my old method of a paper bag inside a plastic one. Cathy answered my question about the larger size within a few hours and was honest that they are still working on it. Taking one star for the size only. Will order the bigger one when it comes.

Total scam. This should be -10. I ordered and never received a confirmation and tried to cancel my order within a few hours. Oh no they could not do that because the order was confirmed within 10 minutes even though I had never received the confirmation. I was told to check my spam folder - not there. I was told I could get 25% off my next order even though they were going out of business! LOL
I figured something was wrong then. And reviews started popping up and telling me I had been scammed. I sent the scamming reviews to the website and they even responded that they were legitimate, etc. Never received a confirmation or the order of course. Shame on me.

For two years I ended up throwing away half a loaf almost every week. It would become hard by Wednesday, moldy by Friday, and it always felt like wasted money. My daughter sent me a link to this, and I decided to order the two-for offer because I had run out of other options. Now the bread is still soft on the fifth day. I keep checking it because it almost seems too good to be true.

CAUTION: This advertizer is a SCAM. You do not receive artisan cotton beeswax lined bread bags - you receive generic "organic" cotton bags with a transparent vinyl lining and no Brenner Bakery logo, from somewhere in CA obviously sourced from an independent supplier. Not a hint of beeswax to be found. The company shows up on your credit card as an educational purvayer, likely for the "free" digital bakery book they provide. How they continue to get away with this is beyond me.

I get a sourdough from the bakery on Saturday morning and by Tuesday it used to be a doorstop. Bill would look at the counter and shake his head. I ordered the two pack after my sister in Vermont mailed me a loaf in one and it showed up in Michigan still soft. Now the Saturday loaf makes it to Wednesday night without a complaint from him. The bag itself has a nice smell the first week, kind of honey, then it fades. Machine wipe with a damp cloth and it is fine.

Scam! Bags are made in China. They have a VINYL inside layer NOT BEESWAX. DO NOT BUY!

My book club friend Ellen brought hers last month and pulled out a four-day-old loaf that was still good. So I ordered. There is no "Brenner Bakery" in Rhinebeck, NY, and there never was. The website is using an AI-generated story and images as a hook. Zero evidence of a physical store, despite the fake "Visit our bakery" hours & the fake heartfelt goodbye from the fake Brenner couple. I'm in a fun back-and-forth email exchange with the company asking for a physical address, even if the shop is now closed forever, and they're playing games and not giving me one, BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ONE, AND NEVER WAS.

Ordered the famous “bread bags” on July 1. They charged me that day. After a week of not hearing anything about shipping I contacted them. I got a response that it takes 7-12 business days days. After 12 business days I started checking with them daily and as of today, the 20th they could not tell me an ETA. All I got was “rest assured we’re monitoring the progress of your shipment “, with no date! They tried to discount the product first 50%, then 75% just so I don’t cancel the order, but still with no delivery date. After reading all the reviews, my order was clearly in line with the scam of taking forever to be delivered. I asked them to cancel my order and first I got the message that it cannot be canceled because the product was shipped (but they could not verify the ETA even after 20 days). Then I got the message that my order was canceled. Stay away from this obviously shady scamners.

This clearly is a scam - apparently using the name of an old company. At least we did receive cloth bread bags, but they were Chinese-made, plastic-lined bags that were nothing like the wax-coated bags that were advertised. Particularly irritating since the online company continues to advertise how terrible plastic is for bread.

This is a complete AI-generated scam. They’re using FB and IG to sell this fake story about a business that has never existed, including an FB account for a fake newspaper writing about them. DO NOT BUY

bait and switch. ordered bread bags from their website. Definitely not what they advertised. Sent an email. If i do not hear back by Tuesday, will dispute the credit card charge.

Arrived in four days in a plain brown mailer with a handwritten thank you from Cathy. The bread I bake on Sunday is still soft enough for my grandson's sandwich on Thursday. Never happened with plastic. Never happened with the cabinet under the microwave.

That golden beeswax color you see on the bag is a bait and switch! They take no accountability for the bags they send that are plastic on the inside! They offered ten percent off and that’s it! They lied and spending over 65 dollars on a scam trusting the marketing bs! I will be informing the public forever on this scam and liars! Take your ten percent discount and stick it. Why would I purchase anything from you again? What good is ten percent a few Dollars will not make up for the 65 without tax I spent on your scam!

Do your research, there was no Hollis that owned Brenner's which closed a few years ago. Total scam.

I have tried the linen bag, the ceramic crock, the freezer trick, and a bread box my husband built. I assumed this would be more of the same. It is not. Took one star off because the drawstring toggles could slide easier. Shipping was faster than I expected for a small upstate operation.

I purchased 2 "beeswax" lined bread bags from this company. The bags are lined with plastic. I am in the process of trying to get my money back, I don't have much hope. DO NOT BUY from this company. I wish I had checked Trust Pilot 1st.

Total scam! Bag arrived 15 days after order, from California, not NY. Cotton bag with no "Brenners" label, lined with a plastic bag, no beeswax anywhere. Definitely not "handstitched". No response to email from vendor. Tracking info indicated item originated in another country (China?). This site should be shut down.

My first order got hung up in Ohio for almost a week. I sent an email expecting a form response. Cathy wrote back the same afternoon and had already put a second set in the mail. That is not how companies behave anymore. The bags keep a sourdough boule good through Tuesday.
