Facial recognition outrage
As I walked into a Boots in Brighton I was clocked by a facial recognition camera. Also when I paid at one of their self service pay points. They're literally taking liberties. If they're worried about shoplifting they should find another way to protect their stock rather than turn their shops into a version of 1984 and treat all their customers as criminals. Nul points.
COVID jabs
We had appointments for COVID jabs on Monday, turned up ten minutes early to register but was nearly an hour before before we were inoculated. Lots of people waiting, not enough seating and only one vaccinator. Poorly organised, far too many support staff taking info that wasn’t necessary as we all NHS reference numbers and appointments.
The Boots branch is London Colliers…
The Boots branch is London Colliers Wood and I have been getting my diabetes prescription regularly since October 2020.Boots regularly do the repeat prescription without fail like clockwork except for the few delays or shortfall of medication and always text me when the medications are available for collection. My last medications collection was on 17 June 2022 and it was a two months prescription and on June 22,it was confirmed the next medications collection will be around 17 August 2022.My complaint with Boots is that as I did not received any Text nor communications from Boots,I take it Boots pharmacist will sort thing out by end of August 22 and so I used my reserve diabetic medications until yesterday 10th September.I went to check with Boots on 11 September and to my surprise and astonishment the Boots pharmacist lady said I donot have any prescriptions and that Boots donot do repeat prescription. When challenge as to when this was the case and why I was not informed in advance, thing start to go pear shape and she walk away.Boots have my prescription and where on earth I will get the prescription when all the time they organised the whole process and by not informing me at all,I will now have to go to my GP for my prescription.During the heated conversation with the pharmacist I took a picture to prove that I was there talking to Boots and my understanding is that I am being offensive and abusive and at my request to talk to the manager, the heated discussion continue. The manager request that I leave the premises and he called the security.I treated this behavior of the manager as a threat and I stated loudly that if the manager and security guy got physical with me,I will sue them or report them for battery and assault and they immediately back off.My point is I will most likely be without my diabetic medications for a couple of days unless my GP can issue a fresh prescription asap. The pharmacist only stated that I should ring 111 that I am out of my diabetic medications when it is clearly the unprofessional behaviors of Boots of not even have the decency of contacting me for well over three weeks from 17 August 22 when I am due to collect my medications on taht date. It was quite clear that Boots manager is shielding the Pharmacist for their fault and if I have kept trusting Boots to contact me for my medications, I will be in a dire state.I wonder if there is a case of complaining to the pharmacist supervisory body if there is any,for Boots unprofessional and disreputable behaviour. As said I have taken the picture of the pharmacist as evidence, the name of the Boots manager who request me to leave the premises and the name of the security guard and the pharmacist did not offer any emergency medications except to ring 111.She mentioned something other Boots branches but the message was lost in the discussion with the manager.I also asking Boots whether they have contacted their regular customers ;such as me who has to rely on their medication services but then without any concern and consequences cancelling the said services.
Train your staff at Claygate URGENTLY . . . . . .
I am writing this review in the hope that somebody from Boots Head Office reads it and takes action by sending EVERYONE at their Claygate branch on a customer service training programme.
Over the last 18 months I’ve had the misfortune of visiting this store on average once a month. On every single occasion, bar none, I have been treated with apathy and rudeness bordering on utter disrespect. I might be tempted to think it was personal but when I see the way they treat every one of their customers, it’s clearly the way the shop is managed.
By far the worst is the female pharmacist there at the moment; she’s got the look of withering disdain down to a fine art and uses it on any person that dares to stand at the counter. And that’s only on the odd occasion when she actually bothers to drag herself up to the front counter rather than pretending to be filing or looking for something. With her as a role model to the younger members of staff, it's hardly surprising the whole shop is in such a mess.
Thank goodness Claygate Pharmacy is so close by – every time I go there, I’m warmly welcomed and treated like a customer rather than an inconvenience.
Distinct lack of customer service from Boots.
Order was delivered on August 2nd, but no reward points given. Contacted Boots by email to query and informed that the points would be added to my account and to expect it to take 24 hours. After 5 days still no points, so sent 2nd email- this response stated that the points would take up to 14 days to show on my card. This means that I've been denied the opportunity of using these points for any offers that may not be available in 14 days's time- for example 2 or 3 weeks of the £10 Tuesday offers. This is just not good enough and an apology for the inconvenience caused just doesn't cut it, Boots! Not what I'd call acceptable customer service- shame on you!
Just received an email from Boots customer care department, asking me to provide my email address!(17/08/22)
Went into corringham branch to collect …
Went into corringham branch to collect prescription for my mother in law. First they said they didn't have a prescription for her, even though we'd phoned and checked they had it. After insisting they check again, they found it, but we had to wait another 10 minutes for them to produce it. Two other people in the queue, had the same problem. Do not use this chemist, use a local independent one. This branch is absolutely hopeless.
Mocking pharmacist - disgraceful service!
A recent telephone consultation with a GP confirmed I have long covid - which is extremely distressing. I was advised to take high dose vitamin C and D so asked advice from the pharmacist at my local Boots in Shanklin. Bizarrely he thought it was extremely funny and loudly mocked both me and the advice I'd been given. I won't be going there again.......he should learn some manners and etiquette!
Ridiculous wait times, never improved
This only refers to Morfa, Swansea. I understand this was a Saturday, but get more staff for pity sake. Went to pick up a prescription. It's always the same - they have it but it's not ready. I had a choice to wait 30 minutes or come back. I choose to come back, only to find the queue was now a 45 minute wait. This happens EVERY time I go whether it's a weekend or weekday and has done so since before COVID, so there's no excuse. Again, it's about time Boots spend some of their money on more staff. This has happened so many times, it's time now to change to another supplier.
THE PHONE THAT IS NEVER ANSWERED.......
Why do Boots give out telephone numbers for their stores, option 3 being The Pharmacy Team - only for all calls to be ignored.
Tried ringing the store at The Springs in Leeds today - from 11.30 am to 7.39 pm, 58 times I rang. Only 4 times did I get actually get a ring tone upon selecting option 3, which went unanswered / 54 times I was told the person I was calling was not available.
What is the point in appearing to offer a phone line to the stores if no one answers. This is not a one-off it has occurred before but previously I have eventually got to speak to someone, not today.

Abergele Cae Eithin rude staff
Just been to pick up a prescription from Boot Abergele Cae Eithin. Long queue, no-one serving on the counter and staff standing behind the counter talking about non-work issues. Eventually one person came to serve as the queue lengthened whilst rest ignored the customers. When it got to my turn the prescription wasn't ready(even though the doctors surgery had delivered it to them 6 days ago. The excuse was that it had to be sent away to be put up - rubbish. After 20 minutes in the queue and 25 minutes sitting waiting the prescription was ready, made up at the pharmacy itself - so no need to be sent away.
One member of staff was extremely rude (she usually is!!!) and, in a very offhand voice said she would give me the prescription back and I could go elsewhere!! That's the level of customer service.
Just been to Boots Pharmacy
Just been to Boots Pharmacy, English Street, Carlisle. Served by the most obnoxious person possible. There were four of them behind the desk and they just ignored us initially then one woman came out and served the guy at the front of the queue and then when finished with him she started serving the guy at the back of the queue. When I objected she said “well I did ask” which she hadn’t, and I had to explain that we were all in a queue and surely you carry on from the front. You are treated as though you are an inconvenience, pestering them whilst they are trying to work. She obviously played truant at charm school as she possessed none whatsoever. They need to learn customer skills and indeed in this case the theory of the queuing system. As usual very disappointed with the Boots Pharmacy staff. Full of their own self importance
Avoid Boots pharmacy Cardiff Bay
Avoid Boots pharmacy Cardiff Bay - 11/05/22, arrived at 12:00pm, notice displayed advising closed between 13:00 and 15:00. Waited 50 minutes to hand over my prescription. Told to come back after 17:00 to collect. Arrived at 17:10 waited another 40 minutes to be seen.....my prescription still hadn't been processed; no apology just told to come back the next day. There were so many people complaining, the staff were totally disorganised, they had no sense of ownership or of taking any responsibility and had a complete disregard for patients/customers welfare; needless to say I took my prescription elsewhere.
Great Service by Maria today at Campbeltown…
Served by Maria today at Campbeltown little Boots. Super warm welcome, friendly and really helpful in selecting the best eye pigment for me. She helped me and made me feel welcome 10/10 service
Think twice about an online order!
I placed an order for £45 with Boots and they have sent it to the wrong address. I was advised by the Courier that it couldn't deliver my order as no one at home but I was. They said they would try to deliver again on Monday 9th. I checked the address they were delivering to and it was old address. I have had orders from Boots after leaving that address so why it was sent to that I do not know as I deleted that address. I contacted the courier but as I did not send the parcel and it wasn't my address there was nothing they could do. Unable to reach Boots over the weekend I phoned first thing this morning asking if they could stop the item being delivered to the wrong address, they said no! After a very frustrated conversation with Oye I was told I should wait and see if the person at the wrong address refuses delivery and then it would eventually be returned to Boots whowould then refund me. If the person at the wrong address accepts delivery I am £45 out of pocket and Boots couldn't care less. It was their error but I have to pay for it. I will avoid them in future!
UPDATE: I have just received an email from Hermes/Evri the courier advising me they have successfully delivered my parcel. This means the person at the wrong address has taken delivery of my order! This now means I will never get my money back! I am absolutely disgusted at Boots customer service!
Boots Chemist
Boots Chemist, in Kenilworth Warwickshire, has to be the most unhelpful chemist with zero customer service skills.
As it’s the only chemist in the precinct, it’s basically take it or leave it!
After complaining to the manager about the service, she asked me in an extremely rude manner…
“Well what do you want me to do about It”? Because of her attitude I said “nothing”! She then replied “good” and walked away.
Having ran a successful business for over 45 years I would never have dealt with a customer in this way. I also know it is very difficult to find good staff at the moment, but to employ staff with ‘couldn’t care less attitudes’ is in all likelihood going to cause closure of another chain store shop as customers will go elsewhere. I certainly will from now on.
Middleton Leeds 10
Middleton Leeds 10. I changed from my other chemist nearby to this one as they were allways polite when I had to go in for anything other than prescriptions as they have a good range and a discount stand. A good little team here and all very friendly to everybody. It's a shop you enjoy visiting like shops used to be years ago and that's why I get my toiletries and other items here. Very helpfull even the ones who fill in if the pharmacy is away quickly learn of the good rappor staff and the pharmacist, who there filling in for, have with there customers and it rubs off on them. You can tell its a nice ...space or environment. Great Job guys. Thankyou

Boots the Chemist of Shame
Boots; 9-13 Rayleigh Rd, Leigh-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, Leigh-on-Sea SS9 5UU.
Never have I been to such a Miserably Inhuman and Uncaring Chemist to collect a Prescription when feeling Deeply Unwell in my Life.
Could they have been any Less Helpful? ...NO.
Could they have shown Any Less Concern for me Collapsing in the Store from my illness?...NO
Could they have Totally Ignored me Struggling anymore than they Did? ...NO
On March 17 i started to come down with a Virus. (it never tested positive for Covid) But it was Severe and painful,Exhausting and later travelled to my Lungs causing me difficulties Breathing ,Dizziness,Sweats,Fever,Chills, pains,Aches all over for 3 Weeks I suffered this .Finally getting enough strength to get to the GP .Needing to collect the Prescription before I passed out I was sadly faced with this Torture Chamber of Miserable Unhelpful and Cold Faces . Everyone of them clearly a Tory Voting Inhuman akin to Priti Patel at her finest.
I Cant Tell You to AVOID this Cage of Poison Vipers any more strongly than I am Right Now.
No help for when i Collapsed, Not even a lifted eyebrow. They treated me as if I were SCUM at their feet Drunk and on Drugs ,neither of which were true,I Was Seriously ill.and as Dispensing Chemists They couldnt have given Less Concern if they were in Comas. 100% AVOID at all cost. Use the perfectly helpful and Friendly Johnsons Chemist further up the road .
