I have been loving the French course. It’s made easy to follow and understand. It builds confidence and already has me speaking with without freezing and trying to figure out what to say. I highly recommend this course.

I've tried more ways to learn French over the past 5 years that I can remember. I even have a Duolingo streak of more than 1,000 days. But I still struggle to speak with any level of confidence. I've completed the first three lessons of Bonjourtalk, which took about 30 minutes total. Yesterday, I had the first conversation (albeit limited) with the lady who cuts my hair EVER. She was so impressed she was telling everyone in the shop! I walked out of there on cloud nine :) Thank you, bonjourtalk!

I have tried so many discs, programs, apps, etc. trying to remember the elementary French I learned in school, eons ago. When I was in Paris last year, I struggled trying to communicate and lovely Parians switched to English for me. I wish I had used this form of learning before I went. I am in the beginning stages of this new approach and feel that I could already have had more meaningful conversations with the locals. I can’t wait to really get into this and plan a part two French trip

I have been in a typical small group class for 4 months- vocabulary, grammar, conjugations. Intrigued by the Bonjour talk video, I bought it and have used for one week. I feel I'm speaking and comprehending more speech this way, and find each day I work on the Bonjour Talk more than mu course textbook.

Great approach. Amazing fidelity of the lectures! Only wished he repeated slower.

I am so pleased I found this course.
I am only a week in and I am loving how simple it is to follow the lessons, and to actually learn phrases that stick!
I look forward to the lessons each day.
I have been trying to learn French over a year , but seem to forget words the next day.
Phrases, so far, have been much easier to remember.
The tutor speaks clearly and calmly.
For the first time, I actually believe I can do this !

I purchased this program a few days ago and so far I’m enjoying the lessons. It definitely teaches the way I learn so I’m hopeful that I’ll succeed! Fingers crossed that I’m not too old to learn…

I recently began using Bonjourtalk and am really enjoying it. It puts a different twist on the learning process and I find that refreshing.

I am enjoying the Bonjourtalk course so far! I like the approach of learning catchphrases and key words - much more conducive to learning actual conversational French than my previous method (Duolingo). I am excited to be approaching actual conversational fluency! Merci, Lucas, for a great product at a reasonable price!

It seems like it would work for a beginner. I had some French in school. I'm surprised how much is coming back to me!

I really like the idea of teaching to speak French using phrases instead of building vocabulary and working through verb conjugation tables (although both are very important as well!). However, I am having a difficult time getting past the mispronunciation of certain words in just the second module. Examples are:
1. comme si, comme ca pronounced comme si, comme ka and not comme si, comme sa
2. Ou (where) pronounced ow and not oo
3. Quand (when) pronounced kwand and not kahn
4. Comment (how) pronounced comment with the T and not koh-mahn

I understand that the goal here is to get people speaking French but the pronunciation early on is making me skeptical. Can it just be bad AI being used? Maybe but that's not a pass.

So far so good with this new app, the spelling section needs a space bar and accent options, but i guess that will improve

I'm enjoying this. Instead of constant testing to see if I remember words, I just repeat until I can hear the sounds coming out of my mouth! I greeted my book club in French. I told them I was fine. In French. I'd had the guide one day. I will listen to each lesson at least one week just to be sure I've got it. But just one lesson and I know how to meet and greet. My pronunciation just improves with each repetition.

This is Day 2...so not much experience on the site so far. However, I can say this. I have tried and failed for years at French. I even like grammar, but after countless tutors, many online courses and 700 days on Duolingo, I can still hardly speak a phrase. Fear is a big part of this and the fact I don't immerse myself. So, here is the reason for 5* after two days, the teaching is different, it is positive, it is enjoyable and the phrases I learned yesterday are useful and in my brain. I even thought about them in my sleep. I will update when I have 2 months under my belt. But I feel optimistic. Hope that lasts

I've spent many, many hours studying French but still lack confidence that I can navigate everyday interactions in French with native French speakers. I jumped down the rabbit hole chasing French grammar at the expense of chasing everyday French.

Bonjourtalk has set me on the path of practical French language learning. No offense to the subjunctive but I can envision using the Bonjourtalk approach to learning French to confidently buy shoes or navigate a farmers market or just make small talk. No stress, just doing it.

I leaned Brazilian Portuguese for 14 years and can read and write it quite well but not speak the language. I've done three lessons on Bonjour Talk and started watching French language movies as suggested. Already, I'm catching the phrase chunks that I have learned and I'm chuffed and very encouraged. I just finished the first video and reviewed the transcript and did the worksheet phrases. I'm actually pleasantly surprised. Mr Morceau has a very easy voice to listen to. His explanation of how different his method of learning French is from other more "traditional" ways of learning, i.e., rote, lists, repetition, etc., struck a chord with me. I've been studying French for a while now but I really don't speak it and frankly, I'm ready to stop French. But Bonjourtalk seems a perfect opportunity to give it one last try. I'm looking forward to completing the course.

I like the immediate phrazes to use. Including many printable exercises and study plans support a morecomplete learning experience.

I've just started using Bonjourtalk and I'm really enjoying it. It is easy to navigate; the lessons are short and fun, and they make sense. The supporting documents that come with each lesson help to make it interactive. The course structure makes it easy to follow; no getting lost, I know where I'm going. I highly recommend this course.

I am finally gaining confidence to speak!I had joined another language learning site, working hard at it daily, and learning lots, but i am sure I wouldn't have been ready for my trip (in about a month.) I wish I had started this course earlier. I looked at others too. This one is the best!!!
