Lovely old quirky house. Plenty of room for 8 people not to be ontop of each other. Quiet location with lovely views, good for star gazing. Only mile...slight hill....from interesting Wotton-under-Edge.
Very clean, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms

Lovely clean everything you need . Lovely view from your living room . Great location will definitely come back . Only one little thing is need extractor fan when cooking as alarms go off which.

The Old Chapel is a wonderful cottage, filled with beautiful furnitures and a cosy atmosphere. The kitchen is fully equipped and everything is made to ensure a perfect stay as a family or group. Beautiful trails around and the famous Woolpack pub at walking distance. We had a wonderful stay!

We stayed at Sixpenny Cottage for a friends holiday and it was a lovely experience! The main, open floor is beautiful and cozy, they had even put up a Christmas tree which was a nice surprise. The views are stunning and the kitchen is well stocked with appliances and anything you’d need for cooking or baking.

The only negatives to our trip were the cleanliness. In one of the closets, we had discovered a lot of mice droppings. And there was a build up of mold around shower and sink seals, which might have led to the odd smell in some of the bathrooms. The main floor and kitchen, however, were spotless.

We absolutely loved our stay in Lucknow Terrace. The interior was so beautiful, attention to detail everywhere. It was the perfect cosy, comfy home to return to after a cold walk in the countryside! We all slept so well and enjoyed the sociable living space. Thank you !!

What a lovely spacious house, well set out, gorgeous views from the back of the house, quite a few steps from the car parking area to enter the back of the house! Well equipped, very clean and very comfortable beds.
It was great to be able to access the village from the front door - restaurants etc only a 2/3 minute walk.

We stayed at Gordon Cottage in Chipping Campden for 2 nights, lots of information was provided for the stay. The cottage was gorgeous and very clean, would highly recommend using Bolthole Retreats for another stay.

Unfortunately there was nothing relaxing about this stay, the house was beautiful but it was so noisy being on a main road, it was louder than the tv. Half the lights didn’t work and having to park on the opposite side of a main road was really dangerous when trying to bring luggage into the property.

The property was amazing and the host was great. Went above and beyond to sort a parking space when we arrived and stocked the cottage up with everything we needed for the stay.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Stow House. Everything was excellent from start to finish — the cleanliness was impeccable, the facilities were top-notch, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. It’s clear that a lot of care and attention goes into maintaining the property.
What really stood out was how helpful and responsive the support was throughout our stay. Whenever we had a question, assistance was on hand straightaway, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.
Stow House is a perfect choice for anyone looking for a relaxing, well-equipped, and beautifully maintained place to stay in the Cotswolds. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Lamb’s Lawn is a wonderful property set in a beautiful location. The house was immaculate and perfect for our group of five. Everything had been thought of and we felt like we were in a luxurious boutique hotel whilst having all the benefits of being self catered. We did not explore as much as we had planned to but went for a blustery walk in the stunning deer park and had a delicious lunch by the fire at the 3 Daggers. On our first morning it was magical to open the curtains and look out at a herd of deer gazing down at us! The rest of the time was spent chatting and relaxing, watching films, playing games and enjoying the beautiful house. Thank you for everything - we all want to come back in the summer to enjoy the terrace!

Kingfisher cottage is set in beautiful surrounding which has all the amenities and shops within walking distance. The cottage is very disable, child and family friendly with all the facilities catered for within the cottage.
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend family break in this spacious cottage.
Would definitely recommend Kingfisher cottage.

Larel Cottage is a very beautiful cottage in a typical, charming Cotswold village in a brilliant location. Very comfortable and lovely, pristine interiors. Cosy lounge with fireplace, beautiful kitchen looking out onto garden, 3 very sweet bedrooms. Lots of thoughtful books and guides to peruse. The only problem was the heating - we just stayed at the end of November and the heating went off before midnight and the rooms upstairs were absolutely freezing cold all night, so was unable to sleep. I was unable to switch the heating back on - the instructions given did not work, I contacted the housekeeper all day the next day, but no-one responded to my calls or emails, which was very disappointing.

Sudeley Guest Cottage is an attractive cottage on the edge of Winchcombe with shops, pubs, local museum and art gallery. It is also opposite the Sudeley estate with footpaths leading to wonderful local walks. The cottage is comfortable but could do with some TLC. The sitting room image is different to the reality with a large, heavy radiator placed across the open fireplace and the room no longer has a rug or the attractive cushions - this is not the lovely room it use to be when we stayed in 2017. Bedroom furniture is a hotch potch with the interior of one wardrobe having broken wood inside - which caught on my clothes, bedside light missing and the other had a broken lampshade, plus the attractive cushions have been removed. The kitchen is the best room and where we often sat! The staff at Bolthole Retreats are great - efficent, helpful and friendly.

Amazingly atmospheric mid 1500's cottage in the centre of Winchcombe. Lavishly extended to blend modern wood and glass with the ancient original structure to comprise a superbly effective and very very comfortable whole. Our family group was blown away by the architectural impact of the living areas. It was warm and cosy with superb views over the Cotswold countryside from the elevated rear. Lots of walks easily accessed. Excellent Italian restaurant in Bishops Cleeve. The housekeeper Samii is friendly, very helpful and responsive. Car parking was private and realistically provided space for two cars, but there is plenty of overflow in nearby car parks. Take care with the steps up from the parking to the rear access when it's wet/frosty

A lovely holiday home with fantastic owners. Everything clean and dusted on arrival. Games room was a lot of fun. The owners go above and beyond to allow to to have a great stay.

We stayed in Betty for 2 nights. What a beautiful shepherds hut. It has everything you could need. From all cooking facilities to complementary tea coffee sugar milk and biscuit’s..Radiator heating and a log burner which we used, it’s got a very comfortable bed and great shower water pressure. It’s in a beautiful peaceful location but close to lots of local amenities. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.
