This shitty place canceled my reservation. Told me they tried to call me. Was on a plan for almost 6 hours. Landed at 00:10 in oslo. Impossibile to find a hotel in the middle of the night. Shitty excuse. Do not book this!!
Unauthorised transactions
had a very concerning experience with this hotel.
An unauthorized charge was made to my payment method without my consent. I immediately contacted the hotel to dispute it. While the charge was eventually refunded, no clear explanation was ever provided regarding how this payment was processed without authorization, nor was any responsibility acknowledged.
The handling of the situation was disappointing, as communication was vague and did not address the core issue. A refund alone does not resolve the lack of transparency and accountability in how this occurred.
I expected a much higher standard of professionalism, especially regarding payment security and guest trust.
I would advise future guests to double-check all charges carefully.
NOT a hotel, non-existent staff and no commercial gesture despite problems

Presents itself like a hotel but is NOT a hotel, more of a AirBnB experience: no staff, no breakfast in the premises (although I specifically asked for it and PAID for it) ; no reparation of a broken shutter (despite whatsapp messages and pretend appointment to come and repair it); no commercial gesture or refund for dark room due to broken shutter, and despite the fact that we left earlier (due to ferry problem) and did not use 4 of the paid breakfasts. Commercial service only offers to visit again with a discount, LOL. Total scam.
Very disappointing stay – misleading photos and rude service
We booked two rooms at this property expecting a similar standard based on the photos and description.
One room (Room 208) was perfectly fine and matched what we expected. However, the other room (Room 28) was completely unacceptable.
Room 28 was extremely small, narrow, and felt more like a corridor than a proper room. It was located on a lower level with no proper outward-facing window. Instead, the view was towards a backyard with trash cans, which was honestly quite unpleasant and felt unhygienic.
The room looked nothing like the photos advertised and was a huge disappointment. It did not meet even basic expectations considering the price we paid.
To make things worse, the customer service was rude and not helpful when we raised our concerns. There was no real effort to fix the situation quickly, which made the experience even more frustrating.
Overall, this felt very misleading and under all criticism. I would not recommend staying here, as you cannot trust that the room you book will match what is shown.

Our Christmas Eve was completely ruined by Bob W. Our booked studio was cancelled just a few hours before arrival, after which we were fobbed off with a smaller, cheaper room on the other side of Amsterdam — or we could cancel, on Christmas Eve, when restaurant, Uber and family plans were already set. Communication was chaotic, we even received incorrect payment requests, incurred extra costs, had to switch rooms twice, and then, to top it all off, spent months chasing our own money for a supposed €14 room difference. This company takes no responsibility whatsoever and shows zero hospitality. Avoid at all costs.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience with both the apartment and the customer service. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment in Spitalfields and one heater was falling off the wall and both heaters in the lounge and bedroom made constant knocking noises which kept us awake overnight. The shower had no pressure at all and the bathroom heater wasn’t working so the bathroom was freezing. Basically if you can’t sleep or get a comfortable shower you are not getting what you have paid for. Customer service is unhelpful, while they have apologised it took over a week to get a response to my last email and all they have said is they could have resolved it if we had told them. We only stayed one night so this would not have been possible as we only found out about the issues overnight and in the morning. Now nearly 2 weeks later they have advised they can’t find my booking and can I let them know the room number so they resolve for future guests. I have asked for their complaints process but they refused to give this to me!

Vi havde booket 2 overnatninger og betalt for afbestillingsforsikring. Vi blev forhindret pga snestorm. Og måtte afbestille i sidste øjeblik, vi ku ikke få refunderet 1. overnatning pga for sen afbestilling. Nr.2 nat ville de så heller ikke refundere selvom de jo vidste at vi ikke ku komme. Virkelig dårlig service.
Price changed during checkout
Price changed during checkout due to a payment page stall that required a refresh. The price increased immediately and was not honored, even after support acknowledged the change happened during an active booking attempt.
Customer service confirmed prices are dynamic and not guaranteed until booking completion, but this behavior is not clearly communicated during checkout. Be aware that prices may change mid-payment if there’s any interruption.
I stayed here for three nights
I stayed here for three nights, from December 26 to 29, and the experience was unacceptable.
On the first night (December 26), the radiator in my room was completely cold. There was no effective help from the staff, and I spent the entire night without heating and could not sleep at all.
On December 27, I was moved to another room. I was extremely exhausted at that point and did not check everything carefully.
On December 28, the room was not cleaned at all. Later that day, I discovered urine stains on the bedsheets. When I reported this, the staff told me to go to the utility/storage room myself to find clean sheets and change the bed on my own. This is shocking and completely unacceptable for any accommodation.
At around 11 p.m. that night, I had no choice but to find another hotel and move out immediately.
This place is not suitable for guests. Basic hygiene, heating, and service standards were not met. I strongly do not recommend staying here.

Ik heb een hotelkamer geboekt, maar een totaal andere kamer gekregen. De fotos komen echt totaal niet overeen. Ik ben zelf 1.90 en ik kan niet eens rechtop staan, ik moet echt gw 20 cm bukken en dit is nergens vermeld. Ook is deze kamer blijkbaar buiten het hotel en dat is ook niet vermeld, dus iedereen die langsloopt kan aan onze duur komen. Er worden zakken voor onze deur gedumpt en ook komen er heletijd mannen voor onze deur. Douche is niet zoals vermeld en deur gaat niet eens opslot. Ook hoor je elke auto die langsrijd en iedereen persoon die langsloopt

Det var et fint familie værelse. Digital indgang, alt foregår over telefonen.

Siellä aamupala oli surkea.

The host prides themselves on hygiene but I experienced the apartment being less than basic clean:
- scale very visible on the black faucet and the soap shelf
- hair ( not mine..) in the corner of the shower. …even though I’d paid for the earlier check-in time…the apartment ought to be spick and span upon my arrival….
- kitchen cupboards doors stained/not clean -> easily noticeable in daylight.
-also there is not really like a bigger shelf to put all you stuff on, so you might need to bring with you a hanging toiletry bag.
I have a feeling that I had stayed in an overpriced * hotel that caters itself as modern, designer and luxurious:/,
Well, never again, this was my first and last stay at Bob W.
Avoid Like The Plague
If you're thinking this sounds like a good, cheap option to use while staying in Oslo, just be aware that if it was free it would still be overpriced.
We arrived and immediately the smell of the building was apparent. There are restaurants and food stores adjacent and I think the building is used to store some of the ingredients. We came back one evening to find the staff of the restaurant on the ground floor of our building, dragging a trolley full of raw chicken out of the place. As a result, the whole building has a smell, which the host is clearly aware of as they have placed diffusers everywhere, including the lift.
The apartment was unbearably warm and full of flies. My wife killed 5 in the shower on the first morning alone and there were plenty more. The aircon doesn't work whatsoever and the temperature remained at 24 no matter what we set the aircon to. The customer service team's response was to open all the windows all day to air and cool the apartment.......which obviously then lets loads more flies in. Brilliant.
The bedding on all the beds was poor. No fitted sheets, a desperately thin matress topper and only duvets so combined with the heat, meant we had terrible sleep both nights we were there. To make matters worse, the door to my wife and I's room creaked so loudly that whenever one of us needed to go to the toilet, we would wake the other on the rare occasions we were snatching some sleep.
As for the advertised free gym, forget that. It's a 20 minute walk or a 10 minute (and six euro) metro ride away. The gym is one of the worst I've ever set foot in. It's dirty, tired, the equipment is ancient, the bike doesn't even work properly. Given it's 20 minutes away it's an absolute joke to be honest. To make matters worse you have to get a card from the luggage storage area which has a combination padlock and it took 20 minutes for the customer service team to send me the code while i waited in the storage area.
Which brings me on to the luggage storage area, which is a basement with a load of what can only be described as cages where all sorts of stuff was being stored. The place was creepy and didn't give me any confidence our luggage would be safe.
One thing in their defence, when I reported the creaking door, it was fixed the same day but given the multitude of problems, it's an insignificance.
If I could zero I would. Please please don't stay here, either find the extra money for a hotel or find a hostel as it couldn't be any worse.
A Deceptive Hotel That Tries to Bribe Bad Reviews
My stay was a profoundly disappointing experience. Instead of enjoying my holiday, I spent every day reporting serious issues that were repeatedly ignored. The lack of basic service and attention to guest needs was unacceptable.
The most concerning problem was a major safety and privacy issue: there is no physical lock on the room door from the inside. This made my privacy violation possible when the cleaning crew entered the room without invitation.
Beyond this, the room was never cleaned, despite my reporting a dusty, dirty floor. The toilet roll holder was broken, and upon my arrival, the room felt unprepared, with a non-functioning camera, a missing charger, and no shower gel.
The advertised amenities and facilities were either nonexistent or completely inadequate. The promised yoga portal was missing (I asked for explanation and never got one), and the luggage storage is just a room with no lockers, where you leave your belongings unsecured. Furthermore, the washateria has only three washing machines for 99 rooms.
Customer service was abysmal. When you try to talk with someone, you just get connected with chat bot. I repeatedly asked to speak with a manager, but no one ever reached out. My daily attempts to follow up on issues were consistently forgotten or disregarded.
To make matters worse, the room was noisy from dawn until late at night. Loud deliveries from the Lidl garage below started at 6 am every day, and ongoing hotel renovations (drilling for 8 hours a day or more) created a constant disturbance until 9:59 pm, even on weekends. When I complained about it, I was told they would stop by 10:00pm.
I cannot recommend this hotel. The experience was unprofessional, unsafe, and a complete misrepresentation of what was advertised. I deeply regret my stay at this place.
Just when I thought the situation couldn't get any worse, it did. I hadn't been contacted regarding my feedback, so I followed up. In response, I received an anonymous email from a general address, signed only as "Bow W.," offering me a 10% discount if I would delete my review. Ugh.
Dangerous! Don’t stay here!
This is a review of the BOB W Oslo Sentralen location.
The price was low so we ignored the moldy shower and the broken refrigerator. Then, my significant other and I caught a pervert masturbating and filming us from another room in the hotel. We called the police, but it wasn’t enough to have him arrested. We didn’t know where he went, only that the police made him leave the building. There was no way we (or anyone) could feel safe in the room after that. We informed the hotel we would be finding other accommodation and wanted the money refunded for what was left of our stay.
Instead, they decided that we were only entitled to a refund for the night it happened??? They let a predator into the hotel and when he preyed on us, they decided they had no culpability. They made it difficult for us to leave and feel safe. So, they could save cash they could have recouped with an insurance claim. Thank god we had money to book other lodging but they would have trapped someone else there in that situation. Now, I want everyone to know what kind of people these are and what kind of business they are running. Don’t stay here. It isn’t worth your safety.
Extra invoice 2 months after the stay
A really nice stay. I booked again. Then they sent me an invoice from my last visit. After two months. And for something I did not order and was not been made aware of before. It was like blackmail. Pay or you cannot stay again. Never experienced anything like this before. Ruined my next visit. Avoin this hotel.
Brilliant experience. Superb service
Have just returned from a 3 night stay at Bob W in Helsinki (Katajanokka) and can't rate the experience highly enough.
Superb accommodation at a very decent price only 15-20 min walk or 10 mins by tram from Central Station.
They've literally got EVERY eventuality covered with OUTSTANDING communications.

We recently stayed at Bob W Hotel in London as a group of four, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. One of the couples in our group was given a seemingly fine room, but they were unable to sleep in it due to severe plumbing issues. The noise at night was so loud that it made sleeping impossible.
We contacted the hotel multiple times, but no real help was offered. They simply told us there was nothing they could do, meaning our friends just had to “live with it.” It’s deeply problematic that a hotel/apartment hotel cannot assist guests properly when issues arise or offer an alternative room to ensure they can actually sleep.
Additionally, we were promised an adapter in the room, so we didn’t buy one in advance. However, upon arrival, there was no adapter. It took four days and 12 calls back and forth before we finally received one, and even then, only half of our issues were resolved.
As compensation, the hotel refunded 50% of the cost for the unusable room, which we found inadequate given that it was literally impossible to sleep there.
Overall, we can only recommend this hotel if you’re willing to take a 50-50 gamble on whether your issues will be resolved.
Please be aware of major construction…
Please be aware of major construction work in Bob W Sentralen Oslo.
Unfortunately there is major construction work taking place directly next to the hotel in Oslo. This is not advised in their website before or after booking. This work begins at 7.30am in the morning and is actually shakes the walls making it completely impossible to sleep. While we recognise that this is not the fault of the hotel, we feel that they should have informed guests of this major work before accepting payment. We would not ever book again.
