The crew, food, landscape to name a few.

Highlights: The boat, the food, the staff, and the scenery were extraordinary.
Areas for improvement:
1. Smoking is permitted everywhere on the deck. This is very unpleasant for non-smokers. There should be a designated non-smoking section on the deck or a total smoking ban.
2. Rental bicycles on the boat should be in perfect working order before our arrival. Our group of four rented e-bikes, and two of them were malfunctioning. For instance, I had to adjust the gear-shifting mechanism on mine twice a day because a locking nut was missing. On another e-bike, the electric assist was problematic throughout the entire trip.
3. During the daily route briefings, information about sights to see should be marked on the RideWithGPS routes and, at the very least, communicated in writing via the WhatsApp group created by the two friendly guides.
4. Our cruise was originally scheduled for the Rhine and Moselle rivers, but due to low water levels on the Rhine, it took place exclusively on the Moselle. I believe this was an excellent decision, as the scenery there is fantastic. However, it is unacceptable that the alternative routes created on RideWithGPS were riddled with errors and incomplete. For example, many tourist points of interest were missing, start and end points were often incorrect, and—unfortunately—one route directed us onto a dangerous, impassable road; fortunately, we decided to take a safer section instead of following the official track. There were some last-minute corrections, but they only addressed the start and end points.

Beautiful boat, bikes worked perfectly. Guide was fun, informative, shared wonderful stories, knowledgeable. Loved all the side adventures.
He helped us coped with the heat.
On board: beautiful cabin, clean.
Chefs were amazing and the food- yum!

Thought the guides, route planning, food and ship accommodations were excellent. Would recommend this trip to bikers of all levels of experience. Came away from trip having enjoyed the experience and all the participants.

Great organising. Had to divert due to low water levels. Not a problem for the company.

We loved out stay on the Estello. The accommodations were good and the staff were wonderful.
If I were to suggest something it would be to provide o e more towel change during the week and to add another pillow to each bed.

Outstanding overall. First and foremost the food, chef and servers were exceptional! The barge/ship comfortable. The tour guides excellent though could have taken more measures to ensure safe cycling at some of the difficult roads and intersections. Slide presentations and history reviews were excellent

The people always are the main determinant, as in the riders, but also the crew was fantastic, the food was the best of five trips and Tammy was her usual self, fun and great guide, advisor

We had a fabulous time....everything was great....we just need water provided for our rides....a reuseable plastic water bottle with your logo on it and let us refill it daily. Also please serve water at dinners...it's weird that we have to pay for water at dinner!

What an amazing trip! Wonderful biking trips (self guided),so much to see! Fun time on the boat, met some great people. Would definitely recommend and would definitely plan another trip with them!

The crew and our tour guide Tamy were incredible the entire week! Amazing food and service.

Aside from my fellow travelers, what mad the experience great was the crew. From Chris the Captain, to Arnold and Mariajose, our fun, knowledgeable, and informative tour guides, everyone was actually perfect. The meals prepared by Chef Liam were delicious and I loved how he gave a short chat before dinner each night, describing each of the dishes. As an example of the loving care staff showered upon all of us, Liam took the time out of his (busy) schedule, to make fresh turmeric, ginger, black pepper and lemon tea, for my husband who came down with a cough. For 3 days he shared the tea with him. Then, he gave the recipe to us. Our cabin was so comfortable, all the amenities were great. The rides were so fun and beautiful. The tour leaders were very organized so that no one was ever unaccounted for. They made sure that we were understood the daily routes, the rules of the road and even the signage we encountered that kept us even more safe. This was our second tour with Boat Bike, and we can't wait for our third.

Loved the food, friendly staff and smallness of group. Only complaints were that we wished the guides would have been more informative about what we saw on the rides! Not enough information about the areas we road through. The trip to Épernay was a long day on the bus for one champagne tasting. There should have been more tasting and info about the champagne region! Also we think there should have been a group lunch that day Épernay.

The staff on board the ship was fantastic. The chef was so accommodating to our diet preferences and her assistant as well...our table was mostly Americans and we loved bread with dinner...so they brought our table bread!

Our captain was phenomenal...he could transition between German, Dutch, English within a story....so his presentations could be understood by all...he was very relaxed at the helm!

Two things we were not prepared for:
1. The Bikes were not ready with correct tire pressure. So, I switched mid-week to an E-bike, which I rode without turning it on...and it rode better than the mechanical bike. We figured out on Day 3 that the tires were low...at 35-40 pressure. So, no wonder I could not ride the original bike. That should not have happened.
2. Not that this could be helped...but I think we would prefer trips that gave us until 16:00-17:00 each day to get back to the boat. A little more leisurely to explore all the beautiful towns.

So well organized ! Such great food! Fantastic cabin, bed, bathroom and spacious group areas. Well informed and enthusiastic guides. The electric bikes worked well.

The Manifique was beautiful. The crew and captain were wonderful and friendly. The food on board was a gourmet experience from day 1. The guides, Leo and Ana were friendly and took great care of our groups. They shared a great deal of knowledge about the places we biked and both had great senses of humor.

We did the Amsterdam to Paris trip that began on 25 August 2026. From the moment it started until the ride to the Paris airport, the trip was fantastic. Our guides, Ana and Leo, took great care of us and while I would always like to ride a little faster and a little longer per day, the pace and distance made sense for a diverse group of people and allowed everyone to fully participate and enjoy the sites, sounds and smells of the Netherlands and Belgium.

The boat crew: Captain Michael; Sailor Jowel; Hosts Ingeborg and Vio; and Chef Sidi - were all wonderful. The cabin on board, we had one of the upper suites on the Magnifique X, was really nice. We had room for our things and the heated towel warmer was a nice touch.

The climate control on the boat and in the room was perfect.

The bikes we used on the trip - almost everyone had e-bikes - were nice. The battery life is good and for those of us who like to push a little harder, they pedal nicely without the assist turned on.

I would highly recommend this trip.

The crew really made this a 5 star tour . The food was excellent our tour guides were kind and knowledgeable and patient. Everyone was so friendly and warm. The boat was kept immaculate and the tour stops along the way were so special and unique . I would highly recommend this trip again!

Very nice trip. The staff is amazing. It’s extremely well organized. They came to help us when we had an issue with our bike. It was great -and the sceneries were great.
I’d just say a few things: 1- you need nice weather otherwise it’ll be a different experience and 2- the non electric bikes they provide are not amazing (they’re very much city bikes with few gears so not the best to ride 60k a day)

This route was an alternate to what we were originally supposed to do because of a tunnel issue on the original route. Communication with Boat and Bike was good. Very responsive to emails and questions sent in advance of the trip.

The tour guides were very good. Friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. Frans entertained us with his wonderful piano skills in the evening - an unexpected surprise. The entire crew was great.

The food was quite good with decent variety. One night venison was served which we thought was a risky decision - having an alternate option would have been nice as some guests did not eat dinner that night. It would have been nice to be able to purchase a glass of wine rather than having to purchase an entire bottle.

The route was great. Lots of beautiful forest pathways. The morning coffee stops were very much appreciated by everyone. There were some interesting sites to visit.

The rooms are VERY tight. We had a good idea they were small from the photos but the reality is that you can’t really have 2 people getting ready in the room at the same time. It’s not a deal breaker but you should know before you go. Incorporating a few additional small shelves would have been helpful.

The size of the boat would be better suited to 20 people than 24 but it is what it is.

This was our 2nd trip with Boat and Bike so we knew what to expect. It’s a wonderful way to explore a country and see things you otherwise would never see.
