UK customer, had a great experience!

I put a restock alert on about a year ago and it finally came through a couple weeks ago. Was concerned about the shipping as it said they can't refund damaged orders and instantly I came to trustpilot and seen the bad reviews.

My friend took a look on reddit and said its a legit website so we bought two of the same record (one each). Took a week or so to be shipped but once DHL had received it, the records arrived a day or two later. Very fast delivery from Germany to England.

Records were packed tremendously and arrived in immaculate condition.

Super happy with my order as this record is really hard to come by and we got it at RRP. Wanted to leave a positive review because if my friend hadn't convinced me, these reviews would have put me off.

Worst shopping experience in many Years, never again!

My odyssey with BSR started with a Vinyl Box pre-order in February 2024, which was supposed to be shipped out in July 2024.

July came to an end without any information from BSR and since they are very active on Insta, is asked for an Update there. They answered kinda fast, that they haven't received the Vinyls yet and that they expect them at the beginning of August. Time went on and I had to ask again. This time I used the Customer Service E-Mail Address and after a few days I received the answer, telling me they just received the Vinyls and that I should get my Order within the next 2 Weeks. Why do they need two weeks to ship stuff? But okay, I stayed positive because I saw a notification in my DHL App, that BSR is preparing an order for me....but it stayed this way for one Week! I checked my DHL App every day and one week later the Vinyls finally got into the hands of DHL and I also received a Shipping Notification from BSR.
This leads me to the only good thing I can say: BSR does secure packing in a cute box with their custom design - yeah!

So, my order finally arrived with a delay of over 6 Weeks. If I hadn't asked for my order status several times, I would have never been informed about the delay.

Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the quality of the Vinyls (not the fault of BSR!) and returned them as agreed with BSR.
I waited and waited, but did not get my money back or any information. Since the 180-Day Timeline from PayPal to open a claim had passed, I also could not get my money back this way.
I wrote several e-mails because there is no Phone-Number on the BSR Page and on the last they, before I planned to go to a lawyer (which was 1 month after I returned the Vinyls), they refunded my order, but without the shipping fees I had to pay to return the Vinyls.
Well, regarding German Law the Seller has to pay for Return-Shipping Fees if there are quality Problems with an Item, but of course BSR did not do that. In the beginning they don't even wanted to refund the original shipping fees, from BSR to me, so I guess I'm still lucky that I "only" lost €7 with this Order. But I will not put further energy into this, because it's useless.

At the same time of the Refund they also send me an e-mail with an explanation which said, that they are sorry. People were sick, there are many e-mails and that the oldest mail will be checked first, BUT if you write them several mails, like I did, the system takes the Date from your newest Mail and therefore you will be put at the bottom again. How stupid is that?

To make it short:
This was the worst shopping experience I had in many many years. I lost money and a lot of nerves through BSR.
The main Problem is, that there are not enough people. For example, there is only one person doing customer service. If this person is on vacation, sick, on a special event or there are just too much customer mails, you will not get an answer for WEEKS!!
But hey, you can enjoy their Insta Account with a ton of Posts and Stuff. It seems like, this is more important to them than actual customers.

Extremely slow processing, pre-order arrived damaged. Somehow they still got the time to post 25 stories a day on Instagram and attend Tokyo Game Show.

I'll now be using VGP or local distributors instead. I won't order ever again from BSR unless absolute last resort. I was seeing convenience as they are located in Europe and I had seen nothing but praise about this company before pulling the trigger and placing my first order.

They have extremely slow order processing, even for in-stock items. I had to call them out a first time to even ship out one of my orders that, per the customer service itself, sat at their warehouse for (at least) one week for literally no reason. I was willing to let it slide as mishaps can always happen and that’s totally okay, but they kept coming up with what sounded like excuses to justify their poor handling of things (DHL presumably “not updating the tracking status”—the parcel should be moving to the destination regardless, so how is that relevant?). One month and a week later, and after tediously unswift back-and-forths by email, I had finally received my LP, which by the way was originally only one country away and simply had to travel from Germany to France. It was thankfully unscathed—at least one thing that I won’t argue with is that their packing is very clean and secured. Still, small company or not, that much delay after making a payment is not acceptable. Maybe, and I *strongly* emphasize on the following, consider spending less time posting on Instagram and attending conventions, and put that energy into actually managing your customers' orders instead.

The second frustration was with my pre-order for the Persona 3 Reload 4xLP which I genuinely hoped would improve my opinion of BSR. It also encountered a one-month delay from the scheduled release but I was fine with it as it was more of a publisher issue this time around, although a mail notice or even a social media post would have been appreciated—still, no big deal. The main issue is that they conveniently sent out a damaged copy with a very prominent tear on one corner of the box, and I’m absolutely positive that it was neither due to factory defect or poor transportation—the packing and bubble wrap arrived pristine, yet the seal wrap that comes with the hype sticker was torn on that corner, which is proof that the damage was there before the item was shipped out. Huge disappointment as I was eagerly waiting for this item and among the first to pre-order back in February 2024, just to receive it in that condition 9 months later. Not sure if I can even expect to order another copy somewhere else as this is a limited print and probably scalped to hell already.

So yeah, two orders in and I’m very not much enclined to order again. Do I lack patience? I honestly don't think so, and tried to stay as courteous as possible during our exchanges, despite me clearly starting to lose it after a whole month without any updates on the actual status of my shipment. In all fairness I might just be very unlucky, and I’m sure BSR has a team of good people, but the fact remains that my experience with them has been very frustrating, if not terrible, despite the pretty and friendly presentation.

Please avoid. No customer service at all.

Avoid buying from them although their website might seem clean and nice. The customer service does not exist at all, and if something happens to your order, the only thing you can do would be to submit a contact form which no one would reply. So you’ll never get your money back if something wrong happens.

Does the customer support even exist ?

I ordered a vinyl, which I got after a year of waiting and many many delays, the vinyl arrived with a damaged cover, considering the price and the waiting time, I sent them pictures about the issue the same day I received it.

It's been now 5 days and I'm still waiting, does the customer support even exist ? They keep posting on social media, seems like it's more important to have a C.M to brag about new releases rather than taking care of existing customer.

So here I am waiting with my damaged product, the best part is how the part about damaged order on their website is almost insulting, you only have 2 days to contact them ( yet, they don't reply ) then you need to go to a DHL facilty for "inspection" which is a total first to me, maybe start having an existing customer support ?

I'll never buy again from this store again, doesn't matter if it's exclusivity, I've seen some grey market video game keys with faster support.

Terrible customer support

Terrible customer support, i’ve been waiting for my lp for about 2 months now. The customer support doens’t respond to e-mails at all. If you want a response you have to contact them through their website form, and include al of you e-mails in the attached files. If you are lucky you might get a (subpar) response in the same week. If you’re unlucky you get scammed and have no way of getting in contact or getting your money back. If you decide to order from this company at least pay using paypal or a creditcard so you can at least get your money back.

Verständnisvolles, kommunikatives Unternehmen

Ich hatte bei Blackscreen Records einen Soundtrack vorbestellt und auf die Veröffentlichung der CD gewartet. Leider ist der Artikel bis heute nicht angekommen, was laut der Firma an deren Lieferanten liege. Daher habe ich eine Konversation mit Black Screen Records aufgenommen, und muss sagen, ich bin positiv gestimmt. Es wurde in angemessener Geschwindigkeit geantwortet und gut erklärt, woran die Verzögerung liege. Letztendlich habe ich mich allerdings dazu entschieden, die Bestellung zu stornieren, da ich den Soundtrack bei einem anderen Händler entdeckte und er auf Lager war. Mir wurde problemlos eine Erstattung zugesichert. Die Erstattung ist auch schon auf dem Weg. Einziges, kleines Manko: Ich wünsche mir, dass bei Lieferverzögerungen jeglicher Art die Firma proaktiv auf ihre Kunden zukommt, und sei mit einem standardisierten Schreiben. Das wäre noch mal einen Stern Wert. Ansonsten sehr zufrieden.

Nice eshop, not so nice delivery time

Great selection of very special LPs for reasonable prices. Also the website is clear and nice and I found couple of products which are not able to get anywhere else (at least in EU and for normal price).

I was a little bit suspicious if the website is legit (unfortunately these days there are many shady e-shops around which are basically scam or at least very unprofessional) but this is not the case!

The packaging was also very solid and the LPs were packed obviously with love :)

Only reason why I cannot give the 5-star review is the crazy delivery time.
Firstly, my order was stuck in "confirmed" state for two weeks or so (no pre-order items)... After this time I have received e-mail saying that the shipment had been dispatched finally. But on the website of transportation company it was still on hold for couple of days saying that they haven't received it from seller yet.
After all of this it took like another week to get the package from Germany to Czech Republic.
I think there should be done something about this crazy shipping time - especially the processing time of the shipment to a carrier company!

Beside of this everything about this company is 100%, I can recommend.

Besser geht's nicht! 👍

Habe zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt schon 4x hier bestellt. Der Shop ist übersichtlich aufgebaut, der Bestellvorgang sehr einfach. Versendet wird immer zeitnah (bzw. bei Vorbestellungen zum angegebenen Zeitpunkt) und die Platten kommen extrem gut verpackt an. Die Schallplatten werden in Luftpolsterfolie gewickelt, dann zwischen 2 stabile Pappkartons gelegt und erst dann in die sehr stabile und gut schützende Versandverpackung gesteckt. Danach wird noch ein "Vorsicht Glas" Klebeband an der Versandverpackung angebracht. Besser geht's nicht!

Macht man das Paket auf, erwartet einen meist eine kleine Überraschung in Form einiger Aufkleber, oder einer Karte (z.B. mit einem Link zu einer Playlist).

Auf Kundenwünsche wird eingegangen, was sehr viel wert ist. So habe ich z.B. bei einer Aktion von Black Screen Records eine gratis Schallplatte bestellt, für die lediglich die Versandkosten anfielen. Positiv ist zu erwähnen, dass es auch hier keinen Mindestbestellwert gab! Leider befand ich mich zum Zeitpunkt der Aktion im Urlaub und wusste, ich kann das Paket nicht Zuhause entgegen nehmen. Ohne viel Hoffnung, dass es klappt (aufgrund der bisherigen Erfahrungen mit anderen Shops), schrieb ich bei Bestellung einen Kommentar und bat darum die Platte erst ca. 2 Wochen später zu versenden. Man hat den Wunsch beachtet und das Paket tatsächlich erst zum gewünschten Zeitpunkt verschickt. Ich war sehr positiv überrascht, insbesondere, da es sich wie gesagt auch noch um einen gratis Artikel handelte, bei dem der Shop ja nichts verdient!

Wenn man hier bestellt, merkt man, dass hier selbst Vinyl-Liebhaber am Werk sind, die sehr viel Wert auf Qualität und Kundenzufriedenheit legen und die mit Liebe zum Detail dabei sind.

Ich kann Black Screen Records jedem Vinyl-Fan ans Herz legen und würde jederzeit wieder hier bestellen. Hier kann man sich sicher sein, dass einfach alles stimmt!
