Faster shipping than stated, easy installation, most difficult part is fitting the radio back in with the new wiring harness. Amazing wireless integration, more responsive than most new cars. Will recommend this to everyone

I bought the BASIC spec for my BMW F10. The screen is so much better than the original and it’s quite quick as well. I needed some support for the audio and camera, and received support instantly from their tech line. I definetily recommend them for any BMW navigations.

Great support team, with quick answers via email and good tracking of the order. Despite small issues with the installation, the support team was here to assist and make things right.

Importantly, the system provided is fully compatible with car functionalities. Putting the car in reverse or clicking the parking assist button switches to and back from the OEM screens.

Same applies for day/night themes for apps, which are properly propagated from the car's automatic headlights.

Additionally, the support for AUX sound or OEM bluetooth on the car (+ microphone) work perfectly and as advertised.

Overall, I'd buy this product over anything else on the market provided it provides with the best functionality, for a good price.

First off WOW. It honestly blows my mind these guys have any bad reviews at all but I'm not surprised with how many arrogant dooshers drive these cars. We're considering trading this car in for a Porsche or Lexus for that reason alone. LOL!

As a psychologist myself, you would have to be pretty insufferable to argue with some little asian guys who just build radios. I also think it takes a special lack of awareness to argue with people who build this stuff. I'd rather not have them send a virus my way or something.

Their staff is genuinley pretty friendly considering they're literally across the ocean in another continent. Our local shop were the ones who recommended them to us.

Onto the actual review;

In my case, I ordered a 10.25" Top Spec for my m4. It had the factory 6.5" so it definitley had to go. Luckily i still had bluetooth audio but it still obviously was NOT ideal. Total delivery time from Taiwan to Rhode Island was about 7 days give or take? It arrived pretty securely and looked great out of the box. They put these large foam things around it to prevent it from sliding around. I did not have to pay customs which I almost expected. Apparently they pay it for you.

My partner and I managed to install it in 2 hours. The black harness is abit tedious but nothing too crazy. It's definitley very fast to use and the screen is great quality. It had a nice heft to it. The menus look like replicas of the newer factory menus instead of the cheap Chiniese trash you usaully see. It comes default with a blue theme but I discovered you can actaully toggle it.

Rear camera is great quality. My original one was basically water damaged with a large blur anytime i went into reverse. We were able to remove it and install the BimmerDirect one instead. Picture is better than the original one. Plus you can adjust it too.

All in all, definitley worth it. Keep up the good work. I know things are a bit harder in China and Taiwan and please just know that not all of us are like this! Just the dooshers!

This company is a complete sham. They are selling nothing more than the same product you can buy on Aliexpress or Temu but at a higher cost.

All the negative reviews are exactly the same experience I had, and all the positive reviews seem to be fake.

They will not send you an e-mail with a passcode to the instruction manual or any information period about the instruction manual. I had to go searching all over their website for a manual only to find out I couldn't even access the link without a password. When I contacted them, I never received an apology for the poor experience, I also never got the passcode, just a copy of the PDF. It took over 24 hours to receive that as well.

Since I was unaware of the existence of the instruction manual when I first installed the unit, numerous issues needed to be resolved. I contacted support about one of the issues, but it took 2 days or 48 hours to receive a response. Inbetween that time I figured everything out on my own without any manual.

Finally, Bluetooth calls via Android auto never worked as audio never came through the speakers during calls. They were never able to give me a clear answer, or concise troubleshooting steps on this matter. Instead, they will berate you, tell you it's your fault it does not work, or your phone's fault and refuse to provide any actual helpful information. There's no point in following up with them, because they will just go in this circular argument of it's your fault or your phone's fault. After all this, they will refuse to accept a return. I troubleshoot this issue for hours on my personal time, only to conclude its a limitation of the "zlink" app. I have my fair share of experiences with other wireless Android auto adapters like AAWireless. Which had similar issues when it first launched, but this was resolved through software updates. However, zlink is "freeware" that isn't getting the same level of support and it just flat out doesn't work for many devices. They will never tell you this because, again they are not technical. They just have a PDF and a script and don't understand much beyond that. How android auto handles calls is it utilizes Bluetooth and wifi, whereas audio is purely handled via wifi (for better fidelity) So, that's why calls don't work. Because it's run over Bluetooth and zlink fails to handle this function properly, music streaming apps will work because they run on the phones wifi.

The address listed on their website is not a valid address. This whole company is a scam, they are drop shipping the same product you get on other websites for half the price, and all you get in return is a lousy PDF, and if you have any issue outside of the trouble shooting steps in the PDF they don't know what to do so they'll blame you.

Save your money and buy the same product for cheaper, you'll get the same level of support and service anyway.

Great experience, there’s many CarPlays on the market but I wouldn’t trust ANY besides these ones. Comes with install guides, U.S. based support as well.

Contacted fast and helped to problem solve

great screen and improvement to my f32 - once you get your settings dialed up in the beginning, it auto-launches and is very seamless/responsive. Ask for the PDF of troubleshooting tips when you first order it, it will help. I originally installed my optical cable upside down (it is 2 connected pins and the orientation matters). The PDF steered me right. Smooth ever since.

I am very happy, company reacts very fast on email. And package delivered plug and play flawless.

Reverse camera wasn’t working so they instantly shipped me a new one with 2 day express shipping.

Ordered two kits for our Porsche 911 and Porsche Panamera 970. Installation wasn't bad at all, just a bit time consuming. That is to be expected however and beats paying a mechanic. Software is snappy and both cars look much newer inside. 

PS; "Alex" was very helpful and although I did not really need the support, he answered two particular questions I had quickly!

Like other reviews say, any attempt to ask them a question is met with derogatory and insulting comments! I have never encountered customer service like this in all my years.
They tell you that you shouldn't have bought the product, and to send it back if you can't work it out. Send a pathetic set of instructions in the box, then wonder why it's more difficult than it should be! Apparently all installation material is on the website, (I've yet to find it)
If you are confident about fitting and working the product(which I am) then its fine, but should you have any teething issues, then good luck with trying to source any help from them.
I actually think you are better off buying from china, Im sure they would not treat customers in such a disgusting manner...

I purchased an MMI unit and had a question about shipping. The agent Ian G. didn't like my question so he canceled my order. How childish, these guys shouldn't be in business!

I wanted to get touchscreen Apple Carplay in my Bmw without the audio being fed to the aux port. BimmerDirect state their system "Uses factory OEM sound on vehicles with factory Bluetooth streaming."

It wasn't clear from their website whether their products use Bluetooth to stream audio to the car or if your car has factory Bluetooth, the system is able to pipe audio directly to the car head unit by wire.

I asked BimmerDirect if they could send me more detailed tech specs and the user manual but they said they don't send instructions to non-verified customers. This raised alarm bells.

I then sent a detailed message with the questions I wanted answers to, and also questioned their decision not to provide tech specs, user manual etc. to prospective customers. They replied with "best of luck in your search."

For what it's worth, I contacted another company (Integrated Automotive) about their products and they sent me their setup guides within 24 hours.

I wanted this carplay screen to be the product I am looking for but based on this experience I won't be buying anything from BimmerDirect.

I gave two stars rather than one because at least they did respond to me.
